I was just researching this upgrade. I currently have a stage 1 and I live in Germany so I love blasting down the autobahn. From everything I have read this is the single cheapest, best option for an upgrade. One that I can do myself. Your video is making me open my checkbook lol. Awesome.

People that don’t own 90s era Japanese cars just don’t get it. I’ve had a few RHD Jdm cars and the engines are great but everything else is still 90s era technology. There is something amazing about newer technology in handling , comfort and just entertainment while daily driving.

Straight up bro I was looking at dunking 60-70k in a 90’s jdm most likely an r32 or r33 but then I started looking further into m4’s and realized I can get an 6 speed manual m4 2015+
for cheaper then a skyline gtr the gtr but its value and go up in time no doubt about it so I don’t know what to do know if I do go for an m4 I would definitely get volk racing wheels and do an custom single exit tomei

Did you buy the VRSF V-band clamp, gasket for the turbo to the DP and gasket for the DP to the mid pipe also? Wasn’t sure if i could use the oem ones
What spark plugs did you go with? What are they gapped to? Also, do you normally keep your engine cover off? I like the intakes. Bravo.
You need the 3” mid pipe I have the advanced autowerk one, but VRSF makes one too. Why are the lights around the tach going all crazy? They’re flashing when you’re revs are going up. Is that from the reflash?

What hardware is included with the VSRF S55 downpipes? Did you have to buy the turbo to downpipe, downpipe to midpipe and downpipes gasket separate?

Question for you, Did you have to do anything with the O2 sensors or ECU Flash or anything to get the check engine light off since the VRSF Catless Downpipes will cause the CEL? Just curious b/c I got the VRSF Downpipes but haven't installed them yet b/c I've heard so many others talk about the CEL that won't go away. I have the VF Engineering ECU flash for Stage 1 so if I go to Stage 2 after I get the downpipes and updated spark plugs will the CEL go away?
tunes will fix the CEL, flash tunes or jb4 i believe.
Make sure to fix the crab hub bearing to prevent it being spun
Hi, as you fitted the midpipe first, did you notice the rasp appearing after fitting catless downpipes ? I want to increase hp with a decat but hate the rasp..

Justin is my brother and what i can say everyone builds there cars for there own purpose of what they enjoy the supra became uncomfortable for him at 1200hp he lost interest the supra will still always be his favorite car but he goes through cars every couple of years.

Some real numbers: BM3 on stage 2 OTS with your mods you should be at 500-510 WHP. I have an f80 and a few friends also hit the dyno several times. While on 93 even with custom tune you’ll max at 520-530 whp, if you go E85 you’ll be at that 560-580WHP.
M Turbo I was just going to say the same thing. I’m about to go get the BM3 stage 2 93octane custom tune, mid pipes, charge pipes, intake and exhaust but I’ll get 525 whp from that with dyno. Doubtful this dude is at 550whp let alone plus 😂
John Smith correct, with those mods and custom tune you’ll be around that 520-530WHP. I’m with those mods and OTS tune and put 504whp 520tq
M Turbo hell yea man! In about 3 years I’m going to do that Pure Turbo Stage 2 upgrade and settle around 700whp
John Smith good options out there now. Vargas also makes a sick kit now for less $ and no core.
My custom 93 map makes 520whp and my custom e30 map makes 565whp. 550whp OTS stage 2 is a lil exaggerated

OCFX But like bro, it is really hard to control the gap accurately. The gapper like a coin seems to be inaccurate. The genuine oem Bosch plug, I had experienced a great deal of durability and high-speed rolling. However, the ngk plugs always feels like a flexible driving device that fires the plug at low and m speed. What do u think?

Michael Codreanu they only spin with high torque output, generally occurs with DIG races and first gear pulls.

I only did the crank bolt capture plate, I'm stage 2 with catless downpipes. No issues.
How the mpg? With bootmod and downpipes?
with my stage 2 flash tune, catless downpipes, I average 22.5mpg going 80mph on the highway. I actually just did a NY to Florida road trip, with a total of about 2800 miles.

I'd really love to know how this affects the reliability of the car long term. I have a 2019 m4 with the competition package and I'm considering what options to go with.
The only thing that can go wrong with the m3/m4 of this generation is a "crank hub" but its rare, and appears to more likely to happen if you run tunes that uses e85 fuel. I have a m4 convertible, I got aluminum charge pipes, catless downpipes and activeautowerke's equal length midpipes., with a stage 2 tune by RKtunes. and it sounds ridiculously good. Should be good for 520whp, compared to stock which is about 420whp. I forgot to mention, upon MUCH research through the internet, instead of spending $3,500-$4,000 USD for a "crank hub fix" there's almost no reports of people spinning their crank hub due to their crank hub bolt backing out by itself, with a crank hub capture plate. Google it, VTT capture plate for s55, about 100 bucks. I got that installed as well, should only be 2 to 3 hours of labor. It prevents the bolt from loosening on its own, and it appears to be effective, with people running e85 and bigger turbos.

There have been a bunch of posts about the car getting old quickly, and I second the motion. I’ve had an M4 for a few months now and while it’s a great daily driver, it does get a bit old in the excitement department.
I’m already living the 1500 HP race car life, hopefully the BMW doesn’t end up in similar circumstances. I broke down and ordered some parts, new turbos and exhaust, but it feels like I’m just going down the same road.
Good luck with your car buddy, they are great for what they are. A sporty daily but even 800-900whp M4s are sort of, meh.
550 is plenty to have fun.

Not on E85 yet. If you go to Protuningfreaks IG there is a ton of dyno charts a ton of people make over 500 on stock turbos and 600 on E85, pure stage 2 turbos put you at around 700. I will be dynoing the car soon.
@@BrandonJamesUA-cam Evolve has many videos of stage 2 consistently putting down around 525 at the crank on pump gas. Its all over UA-cam. Matter a fact show me a video with Dyno graph of a guy getting 550 whp stage 2 on pump and ill send you 50 bucks no joke. Now with E85 and an aggressive tune 100% it'll put about 600 crank hp. On pump gas tune about 70ish hp, down pipe 20ish hp, intake maybe 15 hp. That's pretty much it. J pipe doesn't add power. Even if the tune was 100 hp still wouldn't equal 550 whp. Crank maybe but no way no how would it equal 550 my friend.
