    1977 Cadillac coupe Deville, I replaced the bottom turn signal fuse and everything works like hazard lights and turn signals but my rear right tail light doesn’t flash or pulse when I hit the brakes, my left front and back both work but on my right the front turn signal works and not the back right

    Thank you brother. I had fuses replaced. Flasher (silver round piece) replaced. It worked initially and then 2 miles down road STOPPED FUNCTIONING. No blinking. I thought issue was 'Inside the Steering wheel Column' but, Corvette specialist (it is ALL they do. Corvette shop Canoga Park, California. Topanga Canyon blvd. and Sherman way). Owner is from Boston where my family is from. Nice guy. Anyway, I will 'Re-check FUSES' maybe it is a SHORT?' because if I leave Battery hooked up 1 week it will not start. Battery gets LOW. Something is DRAINING POWER. When I undo RED wire it'll start every time. lol 1981 Corvette T Top. 95% has been REBUILT. New engine. Radiator $1200. Master cylinder. Carb. suspension. Bucket seats, CD-radio, speakers, I mean I replaced MOST OF THIS CAR. Something is always going wrong. 42 years will do that. Thanks for Videos, James, US Army Veteran, 9th Infantry Div. Mechanized 2nd brigade. 1/46th Inf. Airmobile. *I sure miss it.

      I have this exact same problem now with my 1984 Cutlass. Did you ever figured out what the problem was? Or maybe where I should start looking ?

    I have a question about the led flasher. I looked a my fuse panel and the one at the bottom doesn’t have the place plug the round fuse. It’s an empty slot with now way to plug a fuse there.

    My headlights and blinkers just randomly stop working. Worked then went out next day, wait a couple days they’ll work again. Happened like 3 times kept having my uncle look at it he’s a mechanic. Each time sent back working then they’d stop. This last time they worked then everything went off like no tail lights or anything. So he re-wired a bunch of stuff, changed bulbs, did all kinds of stuff. They worked he called me, I went to pick it up. Then the tail lights quit working right when I got there. Waited a couple days he got them working. Tested them for like a days. I picked the car up they worked, drove 45 minutes home - washed car, worked when I moved it from the yard. Couple hours later went to friends house - they worked. Then when I’m leaving go to turn lights on and no headlights or blinkers again. Only thing I’m finding online that maybe he hasn’t looked for is a bad ground or the dimmer switch. I tried looking at one of those electrical diagrams & had no idea what I was looking at. 83 el Camino

    Which fuse is for the headlights? I know it’s a dumb question

  • @strider3494
    @strider3494 3 роки тому

    You don't know by chance if the lights stay on if its a fuse that aint working or it might have a short? If the fuse wasn't working they wouldn't turn on period right?... so in my theory there is power source going to the lights so there is a short right..?....

    I have a 1984 Chevy s10 I replaced my relay bulbs and all sorts fuse and one side of my marker lights work the other side doesn't.but there also the turn signals and the turn signals still work and the left turn signal is on on the dash when I got it they both were on played with the fuses and the Side that was originally on went off and the other side came on that's when I went to relays bulbs all sorts still can't figure it out

    That flasher actually is fine but the bulbs you installed were of a different wattage, and they only use a few watts so it takes it as say 5Watts x 3 instead of the 27Watts x 3 and dash indicator bulbs, so it's seeing that not even one out of should be three bulbs are working and operable, you didn't need that electronic flasher only a 552 instead of a 323, if you take the electronic one out you will see what im saying is 100 percent true, because the one in the top is a 552, it's called a variable load flasher it's so the hazards will work no matter if all the bulbs are working or not so that at least some still do and the fixed load (224,323,etc) they stop and stay steady lit to show you you have one out and to fix it and it works the same way with the ones that blink fast so that you know you've got one out in the purpose you are using you just needed a 552 which runs about 5 bucks and would work fine

    • @t-rodshader9593
      @t-rodshader9593 5 років тому

      The one that you removed and used at the bottom is a 552, the one you bought is a electronic version which since the 552 is working for the turn signals you only needed another one

      Great idea for sure. This is what worked best for me. I may revisit this issue and try what your say too. This setup is still working after all this time. Thanks for reaching out travis.

    I’m having trouble with my 87 c10, I put led front and rear signal lights and they work fine during the day.
    But at night when I turn my headlights on they won’t blink at all... any idea what that might be?

    I have a 87 Monte Carlo SS.. There is no connection for the flashers,(fuse box) top left and bottom right. I hear the click when I turn the flasher on but for the life of me I can't find where its coming from?? Can I wire an electronic flasher into the fuse box i.e. ( add a connector to keep the flasher in place and then ground them both?? Any help would be appreciated thanks..

    Damn I was looking because my right passenger blinker wasn’t working I looked under there and I don’t got the blinker fuse the big circle one that goes on the bottom mine is missing so is that why my one of my turn single isn’t working

      It’s probably tucked under the dash. On my 87 it’s close to the drivers side door. I have to have my head on the pedals to see it.

      I’ve got a 68 c10 and it’s under the dash in the fuse panel on the left side. I installed the led flasher unit from a local auto parts store and I have the same problem with signals and brake lights work until I turn in the headlights, then nothing works
