  • It's hard to beat the light output available from an LED bulb. When swapping from filament style bulbs to LED, there are some other changes to consider to make sure your bulbs work as intended.

The replacement of the original VW 1970 T2 flasher relay with a new one works perfectly for LED bulbs. But since the spade pin connectors are not aligned I had to make short wire jumpers with a male and female spade connectors. Then make sure the jumpers are connected to the same pin connections; 31, KBL, 49 and 49a.

My 1966 Corvette was driving me crazy LEG's would not flash even with the new led flasher. After seeing your vid I checked the polarity and for some reason the brown wire that is supposed to be ground is the hot. made a set of jumpers and they work.

That sounds a little backwards to me if it doesn't have a connection to start with it cant heat up when it heats up it breaks the connection when it cools down the metal relaxes back to where connection is made again and the cycle repeats.

I used incandescent bulbs but it doesn't blink. It is just turned on. The wiring is okay. I checked. The flasher relay works when directly connected to battery. I dont have any idea what's happened. Help please

I'm looking for a proper flasher for a 98 z28 camaro, will your product work or do you have a link to one you sell that is compatible? Any advice along the way would be greatly appreciated

So, what would cause the lights to flash rapidly after changing over to LEDs?

they need a load resistor. to allow enough load on the flasher to trigger properly. an alternative to using a Load resistor however is to replace your flasher with one that is both compatible with LED's & incandescent bulbs. Basically an LED flasher.

waste of time video - didn't explain that you essentially need a modern 3-wire electronic flasher if your load is ALL LED's. You can use pigtails to mount a 3-wire flasher close to the original flasher location, with spade connectors into the original flasher spade receptacles.
