You are about 1/2 crazy !!! That is a compliment - by the way. Excellent video - good content - well explained. Thinking of buying acouple Trackers myself. Don't see too many any more. It's good see someone has parts. I would assume a company or companies are making aftermarket stuff for these. There does seem to be a large following for various uses.
Now I have learned something today from you the charcoal canister. I don't have one. now I know what the 2 lines of the fuel pump are suppose to go to. I live in the Philippines and the boy who had this car before made a mess of this Suzuki Samurai 1992 year. I've had this car 11 years and all this time I been fixing his mistakes and trying to make it better. I don't know if I can find a Charcoal canister because the philipinos here always want a sample which I don't have.
I noticed that your old bad can has 3 places to put hoses while your new one only has 2 on top. On my new to me 87 Samurai the 3rd hose is deleted with a bolt in it. Im not having any big issues other than smelling gas when the vehicle warms up while driving, Which made me look around. I'm just Curious where that hose went and why it was deleted and also if you could point me where to look for the fumes I smell. TRhanks
My question is where do I find a compatible version canister purge solenoid valve for my '94 Sidekick? The OEM items are from Japan, and are very expensive.
Hi Tony, can you recommend for a fuel filter for a 1996 Samurai injection (1 injector installed in the throttle body). I can not find orig. filter P.N 15410-80C30
Every time I fill up the nozzle clicks an gas spills out of top of tank, could the charcoal canister cause that as well? And also getting on freeway about 45+ the engine starts to bog down and then dies like someone turned the key off.
What tires you got on there? When I was having that issue my whole vapor system accidentally fell off the tank. I knew it was full of gas when it started coming out the tank lol.
Good video my friend,I have a 1988 samurai it has been seating for 3 years, I try to started and I got fuel coming out from the bottom of the charcoal canister, what could cause this? Thank you!
Is the fuse that works the fuel pump? My fuel pump and gage aren't working. I've tried all I know to do? Is there a fuse underneath the dash or something?
I believe you can bypass the canister I don't see why not. I don't know much about Suzuki samurai's just bought my first one 3 month ago. I'm going outside now to disconnect the charcoal canister on my 88 samurai then take it for a drive.
I just bought a 94 sidekick that has went to 4 people. 1 head rebuild, and lot and lots of parts thrown at it for a misfire problem. Injectors, ignition system other then the control module replaced. Is there a common misfire issue on these? Last guy put a injecter in it and it fixed it for like 2 weeks. Now back to blowing white smoke and misfiring like a son of a bitch. Maybe the injection was just cheap and already gave out? Looking for advice if anyone has an idea. Runs and drives but doesn't want to.
Go on Facebook and join Suzuki Samurai Owners, yellow Sami is the cover photo, post your questions there, those guys know a ton and have helped me a lot!
@@reubensrustyauto it ended up being a short in the harness behind the intake which is common apparently. Ended up just splicing into harness at computer and ran new wire.
Hey I know there's always that one guy in the comments section so I'm going to be him today dude you got to wear safety glasses when messing with compressed air it's too easy to lose and I and you only got two
You're absolutely right! Ironically I was wearing eye and ear protection before the video and took it off for the production qualty but it should always be worn. 👍🏼

Where can i get a replacement charcoal canister for the samurai?

Sorry I made a mistake on the size of bolts that hold the canister to the firewall. They are 12mm 😁🔧
Noticed my weber carb is hooked to the larger port, opposite side of the gas line. Has this been hooked up to the wrong port the whole time??
Where do the other 2 hoses go on the canister

Did u ever find out what was causing it to shut off
Not with gas thing but the shut off driving was it needed a 3 way regulator to have the fuel return back to tank

Super swampers 😁

Could the carbon canister cause the samurai to peter out once it’s started?
Could you bypass the cannister altogether?
I believe you can bypass the canister I don't see why not. I don't know much about Suzuki samurai's just bought my first one 3 month ago. I'm going outside now to disconnect the charcoal canister on my 88 samurai then take it for a drive.
Heloo, what is the wheel, tyres dimension?
Whats the story of the "Rambo" samurai. did you restore it ? Was it your first samurai?
Not getting fuel into my fuel filter, 87 suzuki
