My old 92 tracker would stop intermittently. Fuel pump. We used to give it a kick underneath the tank. That would get her back running again. Eventually I replaced it. I cut a hole in the floor of the tracker, right above the fuel pump and made a little access door. Removal and replacing was easy after that!

Good video. Thanks so much. I have an 91 Tracker 5 speed 8 valve. When I turn the key on the FI fuse blows. ECM seems good - it has new caps. Thoughts? Thanks.
Tony my 96 Tracker is starting to run kinda chunky when cold. And when I just try to putt around it's jerky and not smooth like it should be lol. I think my egr or something is plugged. It was running fine until last week and when I started it the idle was iradic and sputering until after about 30 minutes then it ran fine. 95 1.6 liter 5 speed 180,000 miles and looks like a brand new head. It wants to jerk in a parking lot or when going slow. Not like I need to downshift either lol. I'm not afraid to rev these little peaches. Keep up the good videos mang.

I smell gas when I feel the vehicle up. I don't see any dripping anywhere. I smell it last when it's down to half a tank. Don't know if any smell at all when it's almost empty. Rusty Geo. Do you think I have a rush hole in the top of the tank ? Tank almost fell off and I put it cargo strap on it.

What's my next step, fuel pump/filter?
They have a starter relay to help with the starters on both the samurai and trackers but I can't remember who makes it. Check your fuel pressure to the carb and make sure you're getting 6-8 psi of pressure. If the pressure is low you may have a clogged filter or line.
Had ecm failure associated with the injection on my 92 tracker. It's a common issue I guess. There's a fix for the ecm, but turned out a cut in the injector wire is what may have caused it.

Follow the wiring up the rocker panel, testing until you find power. If you don't find power, open ecm and inspect as shown in our other video

🤣🤣🤣 common to see gas tanks held up by ratchet straps on Trackers around here
The pump is not priming. When testing at the brake light we got just a very quick flash of power. Less than a second. What do you think that means.
Check for power coming out of ecm after turning the key if 91+ model. If not power watch our ecm repair video

Just put a new ecm in from randy and now it's getting a studder in second again like it did before the other one went out.

Yes That works well for surface rust. In the north things often rust away until there's nothing left . Just has to be replaced or welded
