I remember watching this 8 years ago, thinking "this guy is going places". Now fast forward to 2018, being in 3 of his concerts...he still ends every concert with this song. And that says a lot, it's a "remember where you came from" song for him. He is still the same, humble singer-songwriter I fell in love with in 2010.

I had to come back to this video after hearing about Jamal. This was the first video that I remember watching on SBTV and I kept coming back to it time and time again. I loved this channel and seeing new artists get their chance to shine. I'm so sorry that Jamal is now longer with us but what a legacy he's left. He gave people a voice and a platform to reach millions... he's made a real impact in this world and I hope that gives his loved ones comfort. Rest in peace

I watched Ed live yesterday here in Dubai and it bought me back to this! I remember watching this as a 17 year old kid in Wolverhampton and thinking this isn't SBTVs normal "artist" what a journey this man has been on and all thanks to Jamal! Yes I think after Jamie fox saw this performance he called him on his radio show and everything went up hill from there :)
In the UK yes. After this episode of SBTV, he then started to work with the grime artists that he liked. That lead to his self released collaborations #5 LP that charted at #2 on UK itunes. He signed to Atlantic records. But before that happened he went to Los Angeles and played lots of small gigs and ended up at Jamie Foxx's The Foxx's Hole. Jamie's manager saw him and invited him to be on Jamie's Sirius radio show. Jamie liked him and invited Ed to his house and let him use his studio

I saw him live at a side stage at Rock Werchter in 2012. He was the underdog act everyone was talking about after his show. I went there because of a girl I’d met and became an instant fan. After the festival she sent me this video and it brings back all the good memories of those times.
