Yep. The Official reason is for taking less space. But knowing what I've learned the last 10 years regarding World Economic Forum and the Blackrock oligarchs it's obviously to prevent private individuals to break free from the corporate greed
Oh my family does this! We have five fully grown pineapples in pots in our kitchen (yes it takes up a lot of space) and they each produce a pineapple every year (it takes about two years after planting to get the first one)
How do you maintain your pineapple? I read that it’s very difficult to get it to produce fruit so I’m sure you might be doing something special to get it to fruit a new pineapple
Those brown ones at the bottom you could’ve pulled off as well before soaking it for roots. yeah it takes a couple of years to grow a baby from it. I had like six in pots around my yard. Lol
Hey I know people have educated themselves outside of social media (yeah right) but pineapples take at least 2yrs to produce fruit, sometimes longer & pineapples are tropical. This means that if you do not live in a tropical area you will need to keep it and grow it inside in a tropic like environment. (Just go research it outside or social media please.)
i planted a pineapple just like you and it took 3 years to grow big enough to make a new pineapple and planting it with that method makes small but sweet pineapples
It takes at least a year, sometimes a lot longer, lol. It will depend on a lot of different factors, but they are definitely neat plants even when they aren’t fruiting. And every time you cut the pineapple fruit off, the mother plant will produce pups (baby plants) and start the cycle all over again!
I also did this but just used a different method. I cut the top off along with about an inch of fruit. Let the fruit part dry completely then peel it and the bottom layer of leaves away to expose the pineapple stem. Stick the stem in some soil and keep it moist. I have 9 young plants that i started like this.
Yep you definitely can... I've done it many times. You can also cut the top off and put it directly into soil and keep the soil moist and you can skip growing it in water 1st ;)
My pineapple plant is currently on its fourth year and still refuses to pop out a new pineapple but it's big and strong and healthy so... Carry on pineapple 😉.
If you're talking about fungus gnats, then adding a nice layer of sand on top of the soil in the plants' pots might help you. I once had a fungus gnat infestation, but adding the sand really helped me get rid of them. Hope this helps!
On average it takes about 1-2 years to get a pineapple, same with avocados, however with avocados, you'd need to graft the branch onto another avocado tree for the type you want to grow
I started growing honey dew melon and cantaloupe cavity a month ago and I plated then two day ago there do so well and them have gotten big but not to big for there pot.
I've got a pineapple top growing in one of my big pots! I planted it about a year ago. It's got super long dark new leaves, but I think it's going to take longer than 2 years before it grows a pineapple.
Mine took 2 years before it grew a new pineapple. Once the new pineapple matures you will get shoots on the plant that can be removed and planted to get more plants. Good luck!!
Since that is from the top of a pineapple it will take 2 years to fruit whereas growing a pineapple shoot takes a year but is smaller on the first harvest.
how long does it take for it to grow roots? someone please answer this. i threw mine in the trash cause it never grew roots and the water it was in just smelled like shit.
A grocery store near me is selling pineapples without the spiky leaves. I call them anti piracy pinapples

It took mine almost 4 years. It’s a huge decorative plant in a pot for me right now though and I think it looks nice so I don’t mind.
Your supposed to put a slice of apple in the dirt with it to produce fruit.
@@noodledoodlez2079 *rotten apple
So excited to see it grow more!!!Earliest I’ve ever been😂 maybe bc I should be asleep rn…4:40am
You can cut the top into 4 parts and each top can grow a pinapple. I've seen some videos.
My grandparents gave me a pineapple plant when I was younger and it took 5 years until it was ready to eat! Good luck!

Definitely going to try this sometime!
I'm also growing a pineapple in my garden too
Can’t wait to see it grow. Idk if u know but it takes 2 years
CANT WAIT FOR IT TO GROW 🤩
You can cut the dead ends off to make it look better. That’s what I did to mine after watching UA-cam videos
I haven’t tried it but I will
"hey I'm here for a journey :D" I love her vibes and positivity so much omg
ive done this and it grew a plant but you have to do a special thing to it for it to actually grow a new pineapple
It takes 3 years 3 whole years to grow a pineapple
It takes at least a year, sometimes a lot longer, lol.

You can speed up plant growth by using grow lights and doing a 18 hour day/7 hour night cycle. You can do more or less.
I also did this but just used a different method. I cut the top off along with about an inch of fruit. I’m glad you stuck with it. Now that it’s got roots it’s going to start looking better and better.
You look so cute
Cut off the dry ends for more goodness
You should mist the pineapple daily or every other day to prevent it from drying out
Yep you definitely can... I've done it many times. You can also cut the top off and put it directly into soil and keep the soil moist and you can skip growing it in water 1st ;)
I did, and ate my mini pineapple yesterday 🥰 mine took 3-4 years
My pineapple plant is currently on its fourth year and still refuses to pop out a new pineapple but it's big and strong and healthy so... Carry on pineapple 😉.
You’re doing great!!! Make sure you put it under sunlight. Mine’s still thriving, can’t wait to see it next year.
We need a pineapple update
You need much bigger pot and more soil, you can literally find tutorials on how to plant it here on youtube.
Part 2 please 🥺
I live in FL..mine take a year to 2 years tops
I literally did this today! Can’t wait to see what happens
How long has it been so far
Mine also has dying leaves… so frustrating. How long till I see a root and know its not dead?
My center grew so much it's about 11 inches tall right now so gorgeous
How long did it take the roots to grow? I'm wonduring if we gave up too early because ours hadn't done anything in a few weeks
My sister had one of these for probably 3 years, it was HUGE. But the dogs got to it😢
I’m gonna call it polly :D
Girl plz help me out, I’m a big plant mommy n I’ve tried everything for these gnats,,, do u have any recommendations?!
If you're talking about fungus gnats, then adding a nice layer of sand on top of the soil in the plants' pots might help you. I once had a fungus gnat infestation, but adding the sand really helped me get rid of them. Hope this helps!
I so want to try this anz lemons a lemon 🍋 plant
Are these ornamental pineapples or edible when sprouted
Mine took 5 years…
How long does it take to grow roots like that in a glass of water?
Being a bromilliad water through the top (and requires warm weather ...protect from frost ) 💕💞💖
Just remember to water from the leaves and not the soil. It doesn’t really matter if the soil dries up so long as the leaves are wet.
On average it takes about 1-2 years to get a pineapple, same with avocados, however with avocados, you'd need to graft the branch onto another avocado tree for the type you want to grow
It could take up to two years girl.
Peel off the fully dead leaves 💕 it’ll grow faster!
I started growing honey dew melon and cantaloupe cavity a month ago and I plated then two day ago there do so well and them have gotten big but not to big for there pot.
It usually takes 3 years I think idk
Hello I am also a plant lover and I am also doing this and I learned it takes two years for an actual pineapple to grow
I have a mini pineapple on my kitchen counter
Cut the brown part of the leave off ,at a dyangel .
Put a slice of apple in the soil too!
I LITERALLY JUST LEARNED THAT A PINEAPPLE TAKES THREE YEARS TO GROW.
I've got a pineapple top growing in one of my big pots! I planted it about a year ago.
It's got super long dark new leaves, but I think it's going to take longer than 2 years before it grows a pineapple.
When the pinapple starts to lay sideways on the stalk it means it is ready bte
We actually have been doing this with two pineapples and there are growing🤞🤞
I’m on year 4 with my pineapple and it finally has a fruit. The fruit takes 6 to 7 months until ripe. So I’m excited
Mine took 2 years before it grew a new pineapple. Once the new pineapple matures you will get shoots on the plant that can be removed and planted to get more plants. Good luck!!

Here’s a little tip if you didn’t know you should only water it from the top of the leaves
1 year
3 years
It takes three years... About
You should pour water.to.the.leaves so that it doesn't die
It usually takes about 2 years
My mom has done this 3 times. All three plants have been around for years and a huge! But we still haven’t gotten a single baby pineapple
Fun fact: pineapples are the only known edible bromilliade
I've got a couple still growing!!
2-3 years dude
My parents grew one it took about 18 years
It takes like 2-3 years to grow 1 pineapple 🍍
It takes about 1-2 years to grow a pineapple I am growing one myself
Just saying from experience, that pot is too small for the plant to produce another pineapple.
Cut the leaves to help it grow back
how long does it take for it to grow roots? someone please answer this. i threw mine in the trash cause it never grew roots and the water it was in just smelled like shit.
Use rooting hormone before you root it. soil works better than just water. It takes 1 month usually
@@cbc2780 is it okay to continue growing one if it just smells like straight up compost?
We need a update
How's it going?
Been doing this for years with my kids since they were 3
Pour Banana skin water only in the Crown of the Pineapple.
I've been growing a pineapple plant for over 1 1/2 years. Still no pineapple.
We've been working to grow pineapple willy for 5-6years now and so far all he's done was pop out a baby right next to him
it takes about 2 years
I was told it take 18 months to 2years to see a pineapple growing out of your plant… but you should get a few fruits from it …not just one
Oooook, I have to clear this up. It takes like 18 Years PER PINEAPPLE, longer in colder climates but I digress, 18 years. Think about it.
Um, no. Try 2-4. They would be extinct by now if it took 18.
I wish you luck on your 1-2 year journey 😭
She really thought it would not work how the hell did she think pineapples were grown
My pineapple took 5 years to grow
Not to ruin the news but it takes 1-3 years
She’s going to kill it
she’s here for a long time and a good time! lol
4 years... it takes 4 years
We have been trying it has been over a year
