im having troubles because in my thunderstore mod list I hagve Cali Coast and Magnolia County, but when I load into game they dont show up but all my other mods work
I'm getting an error saying Game Directory could not be found with a suggestion to set the cities skylines II directory in the settings screen... but... i cannot find where cities skylines 2 is installed in my files but I've had the game since it was released... any help?
@@projectmanagerplays I was having the same issue. Does this process at 3:48 apply if you are trying to use Thunderstore for mod managing or if you are just downloading the mods from Github (or whatever) and then placing them in the "plugins" folder created by copying the BepInEx files to your CS-2 directory.
anyway i could get your import code for the mod list? i went the manual route and had no idea there was this many mods already. Thanks for sharing none the less! EDIT: after taking the two mins to just install thunderstore i realized there arent that many mods to look thru so i dont need a list haha!
The magnolia map is not hosted on the Thunderstore. I got it from @CityPlannerPlays here ua-cam.com/video/UiHMU9qPpm8/v-deo.htmlsi=dQS6edr-X8y312_K What do you mean you don't use PC like that? I'm not quite sure I understand, but would love to know what you mean.
@sifuxerxes1323 I only use pc to play games that I can use a controller so I don't know about all the tech stuff zip unzip stuff like that I tried last night and couldn't figure it out for the life of me lol
I gotcha. Depending on your current PC setup you may need an unzipping utility such as WinRar or 7Zip. Once you download and install one of those you should be able to right click on the file you want to unzip and see an option to unzip/extract (might be in a submenu for winrar, etc). That said, you shouldn't need to unzip anything at all if you just go the Thunderstore mod route - it handles all of that for you.
Hmm, sorry, I'm not quite sure how to help with that one. I'm unfamiliar with cracked versions of the game. If you have Xbox game pass PC you can actually play it (and mod it) with that version.

So technically speaking installing mods though the thunder store is the simplest and best way to install mods is that correct.
Yes, at the moment, the thunderstore is the simplest and best way to install mods for Cities Skylines 2.
im having troubles because in my thunderstore mod list I hagve Cali Coast and Magnolia County, but when I load into game they dont show up but all my other mods work
You also need the "MapInstaller" plugin installed, then maps should show up.

If you're using Steam then watch the video again starting at 3:48 - I show you how to get your game install directory.

@@joe2k73 only if you are trying to download the mods yourself and place them in the plugins folder.
