HEY, IF EVERYONE COULD STOP SAYING HOW "TIRED" I LOOK THAT'D BE SWELL. That's my no-makeup face, not my haven't-slept face. My face has always been that way, and I'm actually already self-conscious enough about it without everyone worrying I'm going to keel over. Thank you everyone for your concern, but please take this as a reminder to consider how your words might affect others when you don't 100% know their situation. Love watching your review it was really great as I wasn’t too sure about using body paint. But no I feel a bit more confident about trying it for myself. So thank you you Uptown 🙂 it was great review 😃 And for the record you like amazing with and with out makeup.
Proof that Uptown is the new Jeffree Star: - Gets PR kits - Has a table in front of them that viewers cannot see - Is planning to use sponge vs brush to see which one applies better - Reviews the way that the package was sent - Plans to swatch on the arm first to test colors, and then apply on the face - Plans to do a “face application” of the paint. (But we all know it’s gonna be a look ;) ) - Talks about what the producers are saying it will do and is planning to “be the judge of that” - Makes excited noises when the product is working well - Appreciates the fact that the color they see in the container is actually what you get on the skin - Comments on the smell of the product - By the end says if they approve of the product or not - Also, draws on eyebrows 😏 P.s: I’ll be adding on more as a I watch through the vid

I think people need to focus more on the content of the video than to focus on your no makeup face. I think you look beautiful just the way you are, inside and out, with and without makeup. Imagine just casually needing to go to the grocery store for something in the middle of putting makeup on and going with a blue face. Imagine how freaked out some people would be.

Okay, I'm saying this now I love Lore Olympus. It is so good and when I saw your thumbnail I wasn't sure who you were going to try and cosplay. Now that I know you'd make an amazing Hades

Finally I found a review about this product!! Gosh, it was so freakin’ difficult I’ve been looking for a week and then I got the notification and my reaction was: Oh look uptown just uploaded a new vide.. OH MY GOD IS BODY COLOR COSMETICS. So thank you ;)
I'm just as surprised as you are with how strong this body paint is! It looks amazing! I'm not really a cosplayer but if I ever get into it I know what to get now! Also, looking at you with red eyes made me think of Crowley from good omens. If you know what that is It'd be pretty cool if you did a cosplay of him! But that's your choice.
Thanks the Cosplay gods, some Guidance. I want to cosplay but most of them require body paint.... So thanks for this helpful information Uptown, also Hi Kion🙂
Holy smokes, I’m loving this so much! This looks incredible and I really want try it out! Awesome review - any questions I had you answered almost immediately, and I can’t wait to see the full cosplay! -Tavaroo
This is so weird. Couple of days ago I decided I wanted to cosplay a character that is blue and then relaized I had no idea where to go when it came to body paint and then this pops up on my feed. Thank you so much for this review because I am terrified as one who has no experience on body paint!
I clicked this straight away because im going as persephone from lore olympus and saw hades lol. But honestly this tips and paints look amazing i am defiantly going to try them. But for now ill use my products i have around ill look amazing so thank you! For all the advice great video!

Oh my gash, thank the lord and saviour. I've been trying to find a good place to go to buy body paint so I'm glad I stumbled across this video, the way it turned out looked absolutely beautiful. I will definitely go try these out.
Thank you for this really informative and thorough review. I am very new to cosplay so I doubt that I will be doing body paint any time soon, but I already have a very long cosplay character wish list and a few of them would have required body paint and I had no idea where I would even start. This review really helped me so thank you.
Hello, I love your videos! And this video is really helpful for me because I was thinking of doing a Lotor or galra Kieth cosplay sometime. Thank you for this video!
Wow! I want to say that I absolutely love this review! I really plan on cosplaying as Mina sometime, so this review means a lot. Thanks for reviewing the product(s) and showing us oncoming or older cosplayers what we can turn to for body paint. P.S: You make a great Hades, and I love how much detail you give in your explanations. You should definitely do more reviews on these types of things. ❤️
Man, as soon as I saw the thumbnail I got so excited thinking this might be a new Lore Olympus cosplay!! Love the video and can't wait to see what you accomplish with the body paint! :)
This was a great video uptown myself and my sister love the way these body prints are and how they worked out really well and we interested on buying a set to use for our up coming cosplays, so we are both definitely will be checking this body prints ourselves. This video was very helpful and also my sister wanted me to let you know she laughed but loved the rainbow colors you did on your arms (pride all the way she says) 😂 I also wanted to wish you and kion both good luck on you and kion move apartment goes well☺❤❤ and take care on both your new journey ahead 😊😊 (hope that was okay for me to says)
Thank you very much for the video, you helped a lot.❤ It is a pity that I was able to see it only in the morning, because I am Hungarian, therefore we have a difference of 7 hours😅I just found you on your channel recently, but I've been watching all of your videos and worshiping.❤ Thank you very much for always cheering.😅🥰
I have been wanting to reread Lore Olympus since I woke up, and then Uptown as Hades appeared in my notifications! Honestly, that’s just about the best thing that could’ve happened to me today, thank you so much Uptown. Although now I want to buy lots of body paint but my wallet might just have a heart attack if I do that 😬
Yay! Thanks so much for the review! I've never done body paint yet. But I've been looking for one for a cosplay! Thank you so much for testing it! It looks awesome!
This review was so helpful! I really love body art and have been dreading looking for body paint, this seems like a cool thing to have. I love how its water resistant too, I could do mer-folk photo shoots!
The amazing fact that ive been looking for a good body paint for a lotor cosplay that i plan to do in a few months and THATS the first color you try to mix wow bless
Icododecane: a regular ingredient in a lot of forms of cosmetics like mascara lipstick, lotion, face cream and others. It is known for feeling light on your skin. Polydimethylsiloxane is a widely-used and versatile ingredient seen in many skin care and beauty products because of its ability to serve as an anti-foaming agent, skin protectant and conditioner; it is known to prevent water and moisture loss in the skin by forming a hydratingbarrier.
Omg I'm so glad I got to see this review! I'm doing persephone lore Olympus at Sakura con 2020 and I was hunting for the perfect body paint! Now I'm super excited!
What a wonderful Birthday surprise, I absolutely love and admire your work Uptown, take good naps when you can and understand how incredible of a cosplay content creator you are. ✨❤️ -The OwO
The best Cosplay of Hades a I have EVER seen!!!! I watch all of your videos and you are by far my favorite cosplayer ( along with Kion)!! Don’t listen to the haters you are freaking beautiful uptown!!! I envy you so freakin much my parents call me a freak for wanting to cosplay let alone watching anime so watching you brings me the satisfaction I need!! Again thank you so so much and I can’t wait for your next video!!!! 😊😊😊
If you can get an oval body sponge it works well for body paint, they apply like a regular sponge but it’s bigger and easier to apply paint to your face with
💙 excellent review very informative thank you I think I need to check this paint out. I’ve been hesitant on considering a Lore Olympus cosplay myself due to not wanting to deal with paint, but a good quality, smudge resistant paint? Sign me up
Since I'm just as pale as you, I might try out the body paint you reviewed for my next cosplay. Thank you for the amazing and detailed review - especially the mixing part! But you must have had a lot of fun getting the color off again :'D
Thank you for doing such a detailed review!! I was skeptical of this paint at first but I can't wait to try it now! Btw for anyone needing to mix colors, I'm not sure if it works the same with this stuff, but when I used Kryolan Aquacolors I just scraped some of the colors I needed into a separate container and mixed them together with a little water-- it made it really easy to get an even coverage! So maybe mixing them in a separate container with the activating spray might work the same!
I love these videos because they're so helpful with things like this. Also I'm not even familiar with the series but I can tell how good Uptown looks as Hades.
This is an awesome review! I've been very tentatively considering using body paint again for my Peridot cosplay. I previously used Mehron, but was very disappointed that it didn't end up being as vibrant green as it appeared on its product photos. Even if I don't use it for Peri I've been wanting good face paints for Halloween. I really like that this type doesn't come off without the mixing liquid (I'm always paranoid that the slightest bit of water will cause paint to smear everywhere...) And this video is a good overall tutorial on applying face paints and what to look for in them. Also I still have yet to read Lore Olympus but your Hades looks fantastic. What a handsome man 👌 And that blue really stands out!!
I have only cosplayed once. This video was really helpful because there are a few characters I want to do that have like, blue skin, and I was so scared to try them! I'm glad I now have this video cause I could never find anything about body paint from other UA-camrs! Thank you so much for making this video! I love your content and you were what got me into cosplay in the first place so thank you!! Stay awesome! Edit: I'm having a good time
This was such a wonderful video! I'm about to do a Persephone cosplay and wanted to do some research on body paint and I am so happy to have found your channel! I know this video not only took a lot of time, but also effort so I wanted to thank you for doing this :D
My immediate thought after getting a snack and coming back to seeing you painting tour face blue not seeing who you were cosplaying : Is Uptown making themself an Avatar? Maybe a Hades cosplay cause Mishkali did Meg???
i have no idea how body paint works as i've never used it before, so pardon if this isn't possible, but an idea for even coverage when mixing two or some shades could be scraping a tiny bit out of the tins and mixing them together on a plate using a generous amount of the mixing fluid, and then waiting for it to dry so in the end there would just a dry (like in the tins) bit of colour? This would make it a whole new shade with no layering/blending required. but yet again, i've never used it before so i'm not really sure. love this video though! you look lovely :)
Yeah I remember trying on monster make-up before and it honestly felt like I was putting plaster on my face. I don’t really do cosplay, but I do love seeing the creations. I could see this body paint being used for costumes as well. However that would be my primary use for it vs someone like Uptown and other adventurous cosplayers. You’re really good at what you do as a cosplayer. You put in so much hard work and it shows. I do have some questions about the body paint. Does it work on all skin types? Is it hypoallergenic? Before applying the white base you mentioned that you’d moisturized. Is it good to do that right before applying? Or would that mess with the paint? Good to see this in my feed. It was good info.
zutarafan4ever These are good questions! I’m not 100% sure if it’s hypoallergenic, but I believe it is supposed to be suitable for all skin types. Different paints sometimes recommend different things when it comes to moisturizing beforehand or not, but here’s my personal take: I don’t like to do “topical” moisturizers, or heavy ones that are more lotion-y. Those tend to sit on the surface of your skin more, and those are the ones that often change how the paint will behave! I personally prefer water-gel type moisturizers because they absorb into the skin better and don’t leave greasy or oily feelings afterward. 😊
Uptown Cosplay, I think I might try to redo a costume idea I had a few years ago. I ended using a long sleeve shirt cause I wasn’t certain about body paints. I did Ursula for Halloween. It was haphazardly thrown together. Because my team at work decided two weeks before Halloween to pick the theme. Two weeks is not a lot of time to do anything from scratch. Especially when you don’t know all of the parts needed to make the costume possible. Not even counting if you have to order stuff. So I will be doing more research and hopefully with my non existent make up skills and my beginner sewing skills. Something will happen. I’m good at small sewing projects. I’ve attempted clothes before. It’s a challenge to not only read a pattern instructions, but also have to make changes to it cause the sizes aren’t made for the really tall and large folks. It’s either you’re tall and skinny or short and not so slim when it comes to patterns. Pj pants are actually easy for me. Not much to adjust. It’s the top portion that I’m worried about. Hopefully with the extra days of going to the gym will hopefully make some of that easier. If I remember by then I’ll make a post about it. Anyway thanks for answering my questions. I’m that type of person that is not afraid to ask questions. Cause there’s probably someone here that might be too afraid to ask those types of questions. Ok now I’m rambling. Looking forward to see what you’ll do next. Your videos are very informative on this type of stuff.
Omg love how this looks your amazing and a great person have a great day and love your cosplay of hades it turned out great have an amazing day/weekend
Uptown.... You're doing fantastic! And we all love you! But please make sure you're getting enough sleep and taking care of yourself! You're doing an amazing job! 💛
Your cosplay almost made me cry XD It looks so amazing! I really want cosplay Persephone but I don't have the body type at all lol (im literally a walking stick) But after seeing your cosplay of Hades, I actually gained a bit of confidence back! so thx a mill!
Captain Creature Hey listen, you wanna cosplay Persephone? Do it~!! You can slay any cosplay you want-body type doesn’t matter, especially if you’re having a good time! ❤️
Thanks for the thorough experimentation! I'm trying to put together a costume as Jarlaxle (Drow mercenary captain from Dungeons & Dragons novels). Never done the body paint side of this, so I'm researching.
HEY, IF EVERYONE COULD STOP SAYING HOW "TIRED" I LOOK THAT'D BE SWELL. That's my no-makeup face, not my haven't-slept face. This review really helped me so thank you.
Hello, I love your videos! And this video is really helpful for me because I was thinking of doing a Lotor or galra Kieth cosplay sometime. Thank you for this video!
Love when uptown makes these videos because it definitely helps me when in the future when I really start to cosplay.
if you do a mina cosplay tell me what one of their colours you use and how it was!! I want to cosplay her too :)
Man, as soon as I saw the thumbnail I got so excited thinking this might be a new Lore Olympus cosplay!! Love the video and can't wait to see what you accomplish with the body paint! :)
Yas best distinguished blue boi! The thumbnail had me shooketh 😱
Thank you for making this. I was worried, I need body paint for one of my ocs. This helped me so much.
It is so cool you are doing Hades from Lore Olympus, my absolute favorite character from that webcomic!
i actually gasped the loudest gasp i have ever gasped when you said that you were doing hades from lore olympus!!! ahh

I have been wanting to reread Lore Olympus since I woke up, and then Uptown as Hades appeared in my notifications! Honestly, that’s just about the best thing that could’ve happened to me today, thank you so much Uptown.
Although now I want to buy lots of body paint but my wallet might just have a heart attack if I do that 😬
Every time you post a new video you make my day so much better❤️
Yay! Thanks so much for the review! I've never done body paint yet. But I've been looking for one for a cosplay! Thank you so much for testing it! It looks awesome!
This was such a useful video! I find it really hard to find a good quality body paint so this was really helpful. 😊
This review was so helpful! I really love body art and have been dreading looking for body paint, this seems like a cool thing to have. I love how its water resistant too, I could do mer-folk photo shoots!
Mer-folk looks and photo shoots would be SO COOL!! That would be an awesome use for this paint!
The amazing fact that ive been looking for a good body paint for a lotor cosplay that i plan to do in a few months and THATS the first color you try to mix wow bless
The Emerald Dragon As a fellow Lotor cosplayer, I HAD to see if I could get a good color for him 😂
Icododecane: a regular ingredient in a lot of forms of cosmetics like mascara lipstick, lotion, face cream and others.
Uptown, you look so colorful and thank you for the bodypaint review.
Omg I'm so glad I got to see this review! I'm doing persephone lore Olympus at Sakura con 2020 and I was hunting for the perfect body paint! Now I'm super excited!

Again thank you so so much and I can’t wait for your next video!!!! 😊😊😊
Ah this is so helpful! I definitely was looking for a good body paint so thank you!
Sign me up
my homestuck cosplaying soul is grateful
Since I'm just as pale as you, I might try out the body paint you reviewed for my next cosplay.
Thank you for the amazing and detailed review - especially the mixing part!
But you must have had a lot of fun getting the color off again :'D
I love your cosplays your cosplays inspired me to cosplay too ! Thank you ❤️
Thank you Uptown! For uploading and about the bodypaint review!
Uptown you make verry nice reviews good Job love you 🖤🖤
I love these videos because they're so helpful with things like this. Also I'm not even familiar with the series but I can tell how good Uptown looks as Hades.
So glad one of my oldest subscribed channels by chance painted themselves like one of my favorite characters
You are an excellent Hades!!!!
Thank you so much!! This means a lot!
Gosh , I love how you start videos. 😁❤️
Love your cosplay and thank you cause I wanted my hubby and me to do Hades and Kore for Halloween.
Edit: I'm having a good time
I am SO impressed and you were really fun to watch! Also very easy to understand and you spoke very well :)
Omg I can't wait to see you in full Hades mode!! Loving it so far!! ❤
I really want to try it now
This was such a wonderful video! I'm about to do a Persephone cosplay and wanted to do some research on body paint and I am so happy to have found your channel! I know this video not only took a lot of time, but also effort so I wanted to thank you for doing this :D
You are such a big inspiration for the cosplay community and myself and I just wanted to say thank you
lore Olympus cosplays take a lot of work but almost always look AMAZING
Oh Hades of Lore Olympus !
My immediate thought after getting a snack and coming back to seeing you painting tour face blue not seeing who you were cosplaying : Is Uptown making themself an Avatar? Maybe a Hades cosplay cause Mishkali did Meg???
"Oh God I look terrifying" Honestly me, when I wake up.
The only body paint I used is Mehron and it’s been okay. I’m gonna try body cosmetics def for sure one day. Awesome review.
Hey !!this was really really helpful and also coincidental because my next cosplay is Minthe from LO too !!
I just read every chapter out of this and now I’m happy to see the video 😂
19:58same uptown........same😂
34:48war flashbacks
thank you for this video as a cosplayer who is on a budget i’ll definitely be using this A+ video:)
i have no idea how body paint works as i've never used it before, so pardon if this isn't possible, but an idea for even coverage when mixing two or some shades could be scraping a tiny bit out of the tins and mixing them together on a plate using a generous amount of the mixing fluid, and then waiting for it to dry so in the end there would just a dry (like in the tins) bit of colour? This would make it a whole new shade with no layering/blending required. but yet again, i've never used it before so i'm not really sure.
love this video though! you look lovely :)
Me: watching uptown doing eyeliner
My brain: take note we need the eyeliner skills.
Thank you for this great review, Uptown! You look amazing!!! :D
I’m so glad I found this video this is so gonna help me with cosplaying as Persephone from Lore Olympus. Thank you !🙏
You look so great as Hades 😍 your review is gonna help me a lot with a cosplay i would like to do in the future 😊

It looks so amazing!
I really want cosplay Persephone but I don't have the body type at all lol
(im literally a walking stick) But after seeing your cosplay of Hades, I actually gained a bit of confidence back!
so thx a mill!
