I did this today on my arc i have 101,000 mine was clean...nice neighborhood careful with the deer 🦌 no Bambii .... Nice vid.. your voice remind me of my friend Geovanni
@@saaber95 Had to replace them spring 2019, DIC started acting up, thought it was the charge air control valve, but nah. So new DIC this year ....lasted 2006-2020...never changed the plugs. Now i got a torque key so it will be more regular changes now... The plugs that is.
How do you know if you have a headgasket failure? I was told I needed to replace all 3 (valve cover, crank seal and headgasket), but it seems it's only leaking from the valve and crank and I have no smoke coming out the exhaust (car runs very well).
The breather hose that connects to inlet. How do you disconnect it?! I attempted to and the hose snapped, the red ring was still connected to inlet tried pulling it out with pliers and it just keeps breaking.
Kyle Pancis I figured it out too late. Do you know what the red ring is called? It broke. I finally found a replacement crankcase breather hose but I cannot find a replacement red ring anywhere.

Am in the process of looking at an 06' Saab 9-5 right now. Has oil (quite a bit) coming down the front right (driver) side of the engine. Is this the most likely culprit or is there something more serious I should be looking for? Thank you for the input!

2008 Saab 95 2.3t I just replaced the battery the car starts then shuts right off all rights and radio stays on just engine shuts off does anyone has any ideas what it could possibly be? Also, where that yellow cap is to the left in the back has a black patch covering it should I replace it
08 is too new for me to know but maybe a faulty engine ground, or other wiring/electrical 😭 maybe turbo (but I would assume it has a limp mode), maybe some gearbox/ignition interlock... Im sorry man idk. I take it to my mechanic for diagnosis
Hey Kyle have 02 93 turbo convertible. Oil pressure a little low . Engine gets very hot till it shuts down. Any insight on what would be the cause. Dropped pan cleaned screen. Was thinking clogged oil cooler. Your thoughts thanks alot. Have a great day.
What is the torque specs when tightening everything back on the cover.saw u had a torque ratchet.to tighten but never mentioned how tight...Can some1 help me out on this

yes. I feel like it depends on the manufacturer. Saab OEM obviously lasts the longest. 80k+
The DIC in my 00 SAAB 9-3 has lasted 186k miles and still going strong!

keeps gasket in place when you flit it to reinstall!
Use the original spark plugs and the DIC will last a lifetime, Uae NGK ones.
I changed mines in 2006, then again in 2019, i used NGK plugs.
Best plugs for saab! Good word of advice. I have learned the hard way with the aftermarket DIC and other crappy plugs lol

Shouldn't be that big of an issue. It's just going to slowly leak through
2004+ fixed the sludging issue for the most part iirc

So I can do this with my 2000 93 right cause I have a leak there and my oil pan
