when you get around wavedash speed and above, any diagonal forward dashes get "stretched" forward, so they'll be at angles closer to horizontal than normal
They went faster than the lava and the loading time for spikes and they used the last 2 dashes for 1. Breaking the heart and 2. Getting out of the lava's altitude on time. Can't make this shit up 😂

So the TAS goes so fast that Madeline being off screen doesn't get hit by the Lava so she can dip low enough holy shit
