It needs to be said, the general apathy towards this version of the ride during its 11-ish years of operation will hopefully taken note of. The build-your-own-car gimmick was a colossal waste of time as it eliminated the pre-show and any sort of narrative reasoning you might have had for participating, instead forcing a gimmick that both kills the pace of the ride and takes up a huge amount of space within the building for something that could easily be done in the Play Disney Parks app. Yes it still gets lines, that's why they're keeping the ride system, but I have my doubts that most tourists find the ride particularly memorable outside of the responsiveness and power tests. As for the World of Motion representation in the new update, I'm honestly hoping they keep it to a minimum. Chris Pratt talking about all of the awesome attractions we don't have anymore set a precedent for in park tributes to past rides, where it's done with a sneer rather than genuine appreciation for what came before.
I hope they keep the build your own car but with a test track 1.0 and world of motion twist like how would a 1920s car would hold up in thunderstorm conditions, making it educational and fun at the same time.
@@_TheMarwan_the ride is going to be more environmental and more lively inside I believe. If you don’t know what it’s called just look up TEST TRACK 3.0
@@_TheMarwan_it’s going under a completely reimagining. Like how they went from the original test track to this 2.0 version. It looks promising so let’s see what happens.
I’m glad Test Track’s getting another overhaul, though its closure will strain other Epcot rides. It’ll be interesting to see how much World of Motion makes it into version 3.0. Hell, I’d be happy to see a return of the original 1.0 version which was much better (in terms of ride interest and Epcot fit) than 2.0.
Now the other few rides will be harder to get one and double the wait times and line length and sold out genie+. They should reduce the park ticket price for every closed or broken ride
Surprised they haven’t decided to cover this with IP for the 3.0, I’m thinking something like the candy racers in Wreck it Ralph. I’m looking forward to a cross between World of Motion and 1.0, still to this day I don’t get why it ever had to change from 1.0, I loved the kitschiness of the yellow and black test tape, etc, it felt timeless to me.
It’s not like radiator springs racers where you race against others, but this new retheme is better than IPs, also reck it Ralph wouldn’t make sense in the area the rides in
Can’t wait to design an electric pickup truck in the next one! But I think forcing guests to kneel in front of the statue of Mary Barra is a little tasteless.
I really hope the music stays in some capacity. It was the best part of the ride.
I AM GOING TO MISS IT!

LOVE THAT GREEN CAR!

Bring back the og preshow please!
GONNA MISS TEST TRACK 2.0!
TEST TRACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
music is so good. surely they will keep it or do an updated version of it.
Not to worry that ride isn’t going anywhere it’s just gonna be having a refurbishment
Will they change anything or just a normal refurbishment?

Am kind of going to miss it 😢
I like Test Track. It looks great at Walt Disney World.
Better be great. After the technical problems with Tiana Bayou Adventure, I just don't have much hope in Disney anymore

100%. My last time I was there I got a refund for my Genie+ because the only thing available was Soarin’.
So Long, Test Track 2.0!
Didn't there used to be a screen at the end of the speed run that showed a heat map of the car? Or was that version 1.0 of the ride?
1.0
I’m gonna miss that music
Can’t wait for new GM Foods Ride Adventure. Looking for new Android band members to take you to the big party.
I will miss this version, but not as much as the original. However, I am excited for Test Track 3.0.
I didn't know this ride has a showroom!
Exit Through the Car Dealership
Liked the original version (1.0) better
Going to miss Test Track so much!! So glad I got to ride it this year!!

Anyone know the expected re open date?
Farewell old friend 🫡
I am not all that sad, the Tron-like version was not as good as the original, IMO. I am looking forward to seeing what 3.0 has in store.
@@davidbutton3500 Totally agree 👍 It’s just that I grew up on this version

Is just a fast go cart ride 😅
Horrible ride! Nothing interesting or fun!
*no one cares about all that indoor 'testing' junk, it's that rocket ride that is the fun part*
The queue music is so good but the ride (and lack of preshow) is not as good as Test Track 1.0
