The fact that she uses humor to indirectly poke fun at the Blu moniker is what makes me think she is humble and doesn't take herself seriously. Makes me instantly like her. Listening to her play, she plays super clean and is a beast of a player. I'll have to dig into what she has done.

It's very cool. I'd probably upgrade the bridge to something more substantial but that's just me.
There a video of her actually saying that she prefers a single on the bridge after having a humbucker on the bridge. I am guessing she is talking after having the prototype.

Fender missed an opportunity to have something different and desirable here, in reviving the Deluxe body shape from the Kubicki/Suhr eras. That downsized body is comfortable and gives the bass a modern, custom bass appearance. I have a ‘71 and an Elite 5, but the body shape is not as comfortable as my ‘92 Modern Jazz.

Very funny. You don’t have to wait for a fender signature bass. This kind of PU configuration ist standard on Ibanez ATK. I don’t like fender headstock. Long big heavy. Ibanez symmetric headstock is easier to handle. But finally. Never forget. its nontechnical stuff that sounds good. It’s her who makes the sound. ❤

Aina Yamauchi had a Fender Signature bass that came out around 2019. Does she not count because she’s not American? That one’s just off the top of my head, but there’s no way there aren’t others as well, especially in Japan where it’s more common to have female players by percentage than it is in the US.

Yamauchi's bass is a signature, but it's a Fender Japan signature, not available in North America or anywhere else I presume except via-import maybe. That may explain not a lot of people knows about it outside the asian market. This one, coming from the "mother-company" surely will be available almost anywhere... Surely the title was not ill-intentioned, he was just thinking to the best of his knowledge...

Almost a copy of Alejandra Villarreal of The Warning’s signature Spector bass, other than the fifth string. Ale’s blue fret inlays look way cool.
