Did a very similar interchange in CS1 a few years ago, with the small difference, that I made the branches 2 way roads, and forced right turns only. It makes the turning slower but eliminates cars crossing over which improves the flow a lot!
@@piccana_ Video definitely delivered. Gonna play around with two-lane ramps and streched nodes where the ramps meet the aterials. Also, quite currious how this will look if the aterial is 3+4 lanes...
Id remove the crosswalks. The intersection at the top is way to busy for them. Peds can use the crosswalk a block before. That might smooth out some of the flow on the top end perhaps?
Wouldn’t you get even less backup using a 2 lane road on the ramps? That way any traffic turning right doesn’t have to wait for the traffic turning left. To prevent any weird merging just downgrade the section of highway past the ramps to 3 lanes and use a 5 lane highway for 2 segments leading up to the ramps. This will give you 2 dedicated exit lanes. If you don’t have the space then make a small section of the ramp 2 lanes.
@@piccana_ oh most definitely and in no way trying to take away the cool compact interchanges you showed us. Just wanted to see if the 2 lanes might help a bit or if you tried already and the weird merging made it worse.
Cheers bud! Wasn't planning on sharing but since you asked, no problem. If you wanna jump in my discord and say hello. I'll get a link for you to download it. I'm pretty busy just now so probably won't be today 👍
Hi. Do you mean how you might connect 2 separate highways that are running parallel? Or do you mean, this same interchange using roads built with the parallel tool?
this is great, simple but effective for when the traffic is about the same on all the sides, or when a lot of vehicles want to turn
Yep, and only takes a few minutes to build too. 😊👍

That sounds interesting. So with that, I assume they would need to turn left on the other ramp that they can access further down the road?
Does the CS 1 version user p turns?
@@piccana_ it makes the interchange into a very compact cloverleaf interchange
Looks like it would be perfect for my Concrete Jungle 😂 It's super compact, simple and right up my alley. Thanks man!
Perfect! Happy building!! 😊👍
Thank you!! You know I was begging for another arterial road intersection
You are very welcome 😁 Always happy for requests, won't always be able to fulfil them, but it's nice when I can 😁👍
Thumbnail is a clear objective 12/10. Can't wait to watch the full video later 🤤
Cheers 🥂 Hope you like it!

Nice one! Let me know how you get on with it

Yeah, having some other crossing options for pedestrians is a good shout in busy areas 😁👍
That is pretty neat, just got my new PC - I may get time to actually play CS2.
Oooh, nice! New PC day is always exciting. What you go for?
@@piccana_ New Alienware with intel i9-14900KF and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super.
Ooft! Lovely 🤩
you can probably merge those two nodes and make it a super node
Yeah, someone else mentioned something similar. Worth having a look I think. 😁👍

Yeah, 2 lanes always helps. 👍 Just trying to make this one as compact as possible. But have a play about with it and see how you get on. Cheers 🥂

No, no, all good. Wasn't taking it that way. ☺️👍 I didn't try it, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work well 👌
Fantastic!
Thank you! Cheers! :)
For a second it looked like it was going to be an Echelon interchange.
It definitely looks like it at first sight doesn't it?
Thank you
You're very welcome :)
hello! amazing video, can you maybe share you savegame if possible?

Can you make an parralel highway interchange tutorial

Love that!
Thank you! Much appreciated 😊👍
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers! 🥂
toooo noisy interchange
