I love it. Pete builds an extension on his barn and immediately commences to fill all his new space with more tractors. A dude to the core.
You forget that he also decided to build a new shop next year. Plus if the 856 ever does its job with the 504, there will be a brand new Cub Cadet (2401 xd) 10 months later.
That's the way to do it!
@@Iamkcs2c😊😊
@@Art-ot2jnhe's got youtube money now . Screw the farm profits lol
😊😊
I wish every day that my parents were still alive. Enjoy your time together.
You know, Pete, the best part of that whole video, buy anything or not, you get to spend time with your dad.
It doesn't get any better than that ❤
I was going to say the exact same thing... somethings are priceless!!!
And now he and his family have this memory on video for their grandchildren and great grandchildren! Pete, you are a natural storyteller and historian. I aspire to be more like you.
Quility time for Dad with Pete, and Pete with Dad.. PRICELESS!!!
It was a pleasure to be with you and your Dad today at the auction. Thank you.
Looks like y’all had a good day just hanging out together and checking out the old tractors .
Best part a day out with dad . Cherish these times the memories someday will be all ya have..
Hey Pete you really should get your dad a 400 tractror. It looked like he really wanted one, but was being super polite about it.
You are so lucky to have your dad at your side.
Any day spent with your dad, is a wonderfully productive day. Even if you’re doing nothing with him!
My mama used to call this, "making memories". I remember them. She will always be with me inside them.
Pete it's great that you can share quality time with your dad at tractor sales. My dad died 10yrs ago aged 90. We used to love going to the shows, auctions and plow days with my son. 3 generations. Now I'm the grandpa and I go with my son and grandson to the shows. Take care of your dad, spend as much time as you can with him because when he's not there anymore you can't imagine the hole it leaves in your life. Great video, thanks for taking us along to the auction with you. Best wishes. Peter. UK. 🇬🇧🚜
My dad and I used to go out to pick up old WoodWorking Machines I'd buy. Dad stepped through the veil last Aug (also at 90), but we made some sweet memories together.
old 400 tractor = $2,500, spending day with Dad eating cheeseburgers and reminiscing = priceless
“Slapping the tire always lets you know it’s a good tractor”… I nearly spit my coffee out. Haha.
Pete, you and your Dad are in your HAPPY PLACE! Get that shop built because you really are a closet tractor transformation artist who also farms. Enjoy the time with your Dad. 👍👍👍
Just love when you spend time with Dad. Priceless.
❤🎉Blessings and Blessings to you and your dad and memories.
Your tractor shopping brings memories of my dad.
Spending time with your dad is priceless. Thanks for the video. All the best 🇬🇧.
Hanging out with Dad.. priceless!
As we say here, it’s not junk, it’s all merchandise
Nothing better than spending time with your Dad...well done Pete
Anytime you have your Dad in a video is a treat for me. Reminds me of the time I spent with my Grandfather. Thanks.
Dad time! So important
I like the look of the more rusted tractors then the shiny paint jobs
Pete Your very fortunate that father is still around and you have quality time together. I lost my dad at what I consider an early age 66 he died from camel non-filtered 2 packs a day.
One of my favorite channels. Hi, I'm Pete, and welcome to just a few acres farm. Auctions are my FAVORITE. I blow way too much money, but...
Thanks Pete.
I just enjoy you spending time with your dad working and learning and such thanks
pete i love going to auctions and not buying anything!!! these videos are the best!
Don’t know about tractors like I don’t know about farming but I do enjoy watching your channel and I enjoyed you hanging out with your father talking shop , good video.
Auctions are addictive 😌
I can't believe Pete didn't go home with that 450!
The pinnacle of the M series tractors.
Mr .Pete and Dad went window shopping! I think the auction would be much more interesting than a mall. And it was good to see Dad!
This was a great Episode.... Great to see Pop too!
Believe it or not these auction videos are my favorite videos. Thank you ! ❤❤
Any day at an auction with dad is a great day. Lots of cool stuff there.
You and your Dad could run a consulting business just advising people on how to buy tractors. 😏 It's amazing that some of those wrecks actually have working engines in them.
You have a calming andy rooney voice without the "did you ever wonder?" You tube is probably your best producing crop now.
Missed you and Hillary on Sunday Pete. Always enjoyed having you two for noon time coffee. I am truly glad to see you and your Dad on outings. I am so happy and jealous. When they are gone, you miss these times. Dad would be 110 if alive. I enjoyed and cherished the short time I did have with him and Mom. She passed year after Dad died. I go to events like that, just to see nostalgia. Thank you both for a Father & son day out.
Enjoyed Pete!!! Your insight and knowledge is unmatched.
It is heartwarming to see father and son, sharing their love for each other and passion for the big red tractors.☮️
Pete, your description of all those relics being "Art" is so true. Thanks for the IH museum tour of the ages...together with your insight and dialogue makes for a fascinating video.
I think this auction was more interesting than seeing a bunch of painted machinery lined up. We had fun.
Pete: I think you should tractor videos & animal videos....I enjoy seeing you & the wife conduct farm chores & the animals
I had my hopes up you were coming home with the 1256!
Enjoyed going to the auction, felt like Saturday
A soothing voice of 'Pete' just what I needed after a little Ng day. He's the only man I know that can make things interesting about farming. Absolute genius, keep going Pete and thank you.
Heh, heh! Pete at a tractor auction is like a reformed drunk visiting a bar....
Its always a pleasure to see you and your Dad out at the Auctions. Smiles from ear to ear and cheeseburgers as far as the eye can see....what more could you ever want. ❤😂
Well, you love your tractors.
I love your porkies they are so cute, and your cattle really great looking herd with big personality
Pete, The Sheppard Diesel was produced by the R.H. Sheppard Company of Hanover, Pennsylvania. In 1949, the company created a kit to repower a Farmall M with a 3-cylinder Sheppard Diesel. The conversion was not a great success, but it did lead to the introduction of the Sheppard farm tractor. The company produced tractors until 1956. The R.H. Sheppard company is still in business today producing power steering technologies for the heavy truck industry.
Enjoyed the auction! Thanks for taking us along!
What a great video. There is nothing like spending time with you dad. So nice to appreciate the time together when you have it. I am so jealous. The tractors will hold those nostalgic memories because of times like this. Your a smart man to savour these times.
Pete, cherish the moment of time spent with your Dad!!! Lost my Dad when I was 20. Always enjoyed time spent together. Lotsa project items. Some would take $$$, elbow grease,. and ambition to resurrect to running condition LOL
Going to an auction to see old, old farming stuff is like going to a museum and looking at the history of farming equipment.
Sipping coffee with Pete love the auction
All those tractor restorers in one place looking over possible projects gets the imagination and possibilities flying. It's contagious and can't help for smiling as your walking around all that history. Great video and we're all left with the possibilities.
Excellent video, time with Dad, PRICELESS.
I envy you getting to spend that kind of time wither your dad.i
That's funny you got my dad on camera for the bid on the 560 Gas. Great stuff!
These auctions must have a giant army behind them - the logistics must be enormous.
No kidding... I was thinking that as well! All the stuff has to be placed for east walk-around inspection. Not easy when it's a basket case.
I love the older tractors
I love going to farm auctions!!
Spending time with Dad doing something you both enjoy, the younger generations could learn a lot from doing the same. Time with the ones you love is priceless. Thanks for the great vid, nunda, NY bought 1 1/2 hr due west. Have a great day.
Nun-day
Cool Stuff to see. thanks for showing-us all of the tractors.
I loved it! Auctions are so fun.
Spending time with your dad is awesome 👍
Some really great history there. Thanks for sharing, Pete.
Well Pete, I have to confess, I went to the "Green Side" this weekend. To much work to do to restore anything right now. I picked up a 2021 JD 2025r compact with Front loader, 60" mower deck and a back hoe with 11 hours on it. It's not red but it will do for what I need right now.... Thanks for all your work on the channel.
Nice road trip . Thanks Pete
Spending time with dad.....PRICELESS!!! Miss my dad every day.
Love it when you go to auctions to!
A lot of great old tractors sitting there if many were in bad shape. I've never seen so many A/Super A hi clears in one place before. I hope whoever bought the 400 will fix it up to use farming. That would be a sharp tractor restored. I'm glad you and Mr. Larson had a great time Mr. Pete.
9:55 I felt that all the way over here. 😂
I love to go to auctions and just listen to the cry of the auctioneer❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ Like you, Pete, & your father, I don’t have to necessarily buy anything. I enjoy seeing the merchandise, I enjoy the food for sure because there’s always good pie, usually anyway, and also friends that you haven’t seen for a while only to willing to have a nice conversation while you check things out. I had waited as long as 14 hours to buy a $40 item that I still had to this day. It was shortly after my grandmother had passed away, and it was a “Methodist hymnal”…. they had so much to say all that day that I really didn’t get to pick it up and look at it. But the fact that it was a Methodist hymnal made me want to have it. I could see that it was a leather bound, small hymnal, and when I was going through the box quickly, so as not to make anyone suspicious that I was interested in it, I noted that it was an 1880 hymnal. This excited me even more.
Imagine my surprise when I got home with it and I didn’t recognize a single song at it. Now, why , you ask? Because even though it was titled a Methodist The truth lies, technically, it was a preachers pocket Bible .. Designed to fit inside his pocket, generally a suit pocket as he traveled from one township to another preaching. No, I’m not saying there’s no songs in it at all, but it doesn’t read like a hymnal, but rather like sermons. The joke is kind of on me and it taught me to be more careful about looking thoroughly before I purchase although I wasn’t out a lot of money, and I have grown to love leather him now every day, for it, craftsmanship his hand sewn, and the the beautiful, worn gilded ages, Elena onion, thin paper, and the fact that my great grandparents would’ve most likely sat in church, listening to the circuit preacher as he came by with this beautiful preachers hymnal❣️❣️❣️❣️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Good for the soul to have time out occasionally, thanks Pete for sharing your fine day.
You can never have enough tractors
There was some rare old pieces there , not just you and your dad . I had money on you failing to resist a project . Lost that one . Great video . 👍🇬🇧
That Cockshutt 20 caught my eye!! Thanks for the tour!!
Two good old boys out having a good time at the auction. Best wishes Pete & Dad.😊
I would like to see more of your dad in future videos

Did that really come from chat GPT? I wish I could convey the value of preserving the past so well.
@@JustaFewAcresFarm- The text is entirely from ChatGPT with no editing from me.
The only information I gave it was the video's auto-generated caption text. With the timestamps removed, that's one long string of words with no punctuation.
The prompt to generate the summary was "Summarize."
To generate the implied and inferred points I used the prompt, "What things are implied by or can be inferred from Pete's talk?"
The various large language models do a pretty good job on the auto-generated caption text from UA-cam videos.
I really enjoy your videos. I grew up on a farm and have experience with Farmall models F12, F14, F20, B, H, and M. I'm about three years younger than your father.

I agree with you Pete I like the old rusty ones best of all
I love that you and your dad have the same love of tractors and machinery and enjoy just spending time together…. You don’t see that much any more..
That 400 would gave been an interesting project.
When I saw your caption, my immediate response was...."you do???" 😂
Thanks I love live auctions
I wish I could get tractors for anywhere near those prices. I have lived in Colorado and I live in Tennessee now. Many of those Tractors would be selling for minimum 2 to 3 times those prices here.
Love the auction videos, thanks. !
IH similar to JD has a huge history in America agriculture, the 400, 856 and those about that time are my favorites, often they are projects which can dig deep into your finances however once operating are enjoyable and can provide years of service on most farms. Enjoy the history and sharing that history with this audience!
That sunken tractor is unbelievable.
I am only one-third the way through the video and I am so afraid (happy) that you are going to buy another tractor. I love you.
All the best to Hillary and the kids
Thank you. It. Brings. Back. Times. With. Me. And my. Dad. At. Farm . and. Tractor. Sailes
Awesome, Pete!! Enjoy seeing you spend time with your dad at the auction. These are some of my favorite videos of yours! Thank you and keep up the good work!
Pete, I believe those Sheppard tractors were MFG in Hanover, PA (York County), and I don't believe that many were made. I grew up a few counties to the west of there in Franklin county, west of the Appalachians. (but nowhere near the timeframe when the Sheppard factory was in full swing) My grandpa got me interested in tractors with his hit-and-miss engine collection, and by taking me to Steam and Gas engine shows like Sabillasville MD, Smithsburg, Greencastle, Steam-O-Rama (Red Lion PA), Twin Bridges, and Williams Grove. He also (much to Grandma's disliking) frequented auctions in Lancaster PA, Lebanon, Letterkenny Army Depot, and State line PA. In closing, thanks so much for bringing us along to these auctions. There are many finds and maybe some short-lived models and features that we may have otherwise never seen or heard of :)
thank you Pete
Auctions have the best sausage sandwiches!!
that 1256 narrow has your name all over it! ;-)
I went to a lot of auctions with my dad. It was a day off from dairy farming and a day with my dad. Couldn't beat it.
My wife thinks it's kinda funny when I get a new "project" because I'll spend a day or two trying to see if it'll run. Most of the time they will, then I tear em apart and get at it. Wife ask, why get it running if your going to rebuild it anyway. I just say well most this stuff I get was made 1920's to 70's. I'm always intrigued at how stubborn they are about running, not always great but running. Stuff they build today seems just as happy to not run.
Pete. Might want to think of a new channel: Just a Few More Tractors Farm 🤣🚜
That was plenty for a possibility stuck 400. Would love to see another restoration this winter though
