We purchased the KAROQ 1.5L T/P 110TSI with DSG at the end of the 2020 financial year. BEST DECISION WE'VE EVER MADE. We're getting on a bit and decided that we needed our 'forever' car and decided to push the boat out and get all the bells and whistles. Another great decision. Took it on s shortish road trip and removed the centre back seat and fitted a 26l car cooler perfectly between rear seats. Plugged into 12v outlet and kept all out supplies at 2 degrees in 35 degree days which went up to 50 degrees when not parked in the shade. The tinting works to keep the car cool but the front windscreen still adds to the temperature when parked with no shade. We decided not to get the Sport Line but did get the 19" wheels. Most underrated car on the market. We made a check list of 8 different vehicles to meet our needs (primary requirement was electric front seats with 2 or 3 driver positioning) and this has it, PLUS, PLUS, PLUS even down to a small plastic clip on the drivers side front windscreen that holds your parking ticket instead of just throwing it onto the dash!!!! We don't need the ice scraper here!!!! ;-) It's the small things that count. The removable seats, auto park, lane assist etc. are fabulous. We set our front sensing at MAX which maintains about 20m of clear road allowing for those drivers who insist in ducking in between you and the vehicle in front without cause high blood pressure. As I say it's a brilliant and most underrated car.
There is something about these cars that I just love...I guess it's the simplicity of the design. I heard that they are really nice to drive also and reliable... lovely car❤❤❤
Brought my karoq 1.5 tsi dsg sel back in may this year (2023). Love it and have had in excess of 50mpg on a run in it. I'm 6' 5" and 270lbs and it is really comfortable and spacious for us big lads. So many nice little touches....mine has a little bin in the drivers door plus netting and dividers in the boot. You didn't mention that the glove box is air conditioned so handy for drinks and chocolate storage on warm days. Great review....made me seriously consider buying one and obviously I did.
I've got the 1.6tdi scr SEL.The lane assist was turned off first day.On a run,60mpg,around town 50mpg.I got the blind spot monitoring at £850 but they put an improved system on later models at higher cost.I also added heated windscreen, leather interior, and reversible boot mat. After 25k miles the seats are still hard and driving position not the best.Great value.Pity they don't do the 1.6 diesel anymore.
Well I saw this, did a test drive and bought the 1.5 TSI edition. Cream leather seats and panoramic roof. It’s just lovely. Thank you for such a thorough review. It really did sway me and invest ☺️
You have to remove the headrest from the rear middle seat and the fold the backrest. The backrest will then fold a little more when you pull on the strap again and so allow it to flip up flat like the outer seats.
The middle section of the rear seat comes out by leaving the side seats in place-when its out you can slide the side seats slightly inwards, giving rear seat passengers even more side room. Or take the entire Rear seats out completely giving even more space!
When removed the back shelf/blind does fit in front of the sill while the cleverest thing about the removable torch is that it's magnetic - brilliant if you have to use that space saver wheel in the dark! You also missed the cup holders that slide out from the rear flip-up seat trays.
Nice review. I own a Yeti from 2013 and I can see this is my next car. Almost all "Clever Things" from Yeti could be seen here and with some improvement - sliding center armrest, 12V socket at the back, sunglass storage, storage under front passenger seat, parking ticket holder, voice operated audio controls, vario flex rear seats, rear seat picnic trays, parcel hooks in the boot, cruise control button that you can operate with your fingers and without taking hands off the steering etc. etc. Not sure if they'd sell the 2.0TSI with independent rear suspension here in the Middle East. If they don't I'd be missing the nippy Yeti.
In Australia, you can have all the features that you say are not in the British Karoq. Including virtual cockpit, lane assist, vehicle distance monitoring etc. Lucky us. 😀
Regarding the back seat when you have tumbled it and take the headrest off there is a thing you pull out of the top of the seat so then you connect it to the front drivers headrest
I'm glad you said this, I'm getting the 1.0 litre SE L, with a couple of optional extras, I wondered how the power felt to an ordinary person in comparison to a reviewer's.
Electric boot is on top model the Edition , sportline and Scout also come with power boot . No point throwing cover away as next owner will want it. 4x4 is available in 1.5’s as a option, heated steering wheel is £250 option , heated rear seats are £300 if you have front already or £600 for front and rear
I have a 1litre 2018 version waiting on my 2021 model hopefully will have it the end of January. Love mine as it was a demo model so had a dvd player etc in it but unfortunately this wasn't an option on the new car same as the panoramic sunroof. Roll on 2021
Great video on a great car..one small criticism is that the sunshades are under sized and don't shield enough in bright sunlight and could do with a sliding extension slotted into the frame.
Why would you bin the parcel shelf ? There is a place for it just along the boot lip inside , also 1.5’s are available in 4x4 ,how can you have a touch screen with out touching ? I count 6 knobs
It was hard to see in those video but does the 1.0L have a flat/level boot or is it a deep recess. Great review by the way. Best I have seen so far, so indepth.
You did a great review of this car, I finally got a UK man instead of some European or Aussie. Not sure I'd buy it need a test drive. Skoda needs to add chrome to the bland black grille!
Fine saying drop the handbooks and get it online until you dont live in a city. We dont have broadband everywhere in Yorkshire just cheaper quality housing :). Other than good useful information
I noticed that heated windscreen is only available as part of a winter pack and not a lot of the 2nd hand Karoqs available atm have this feature. How quickly does the windscreen demist on a cold winter morning using just the blower/ac? Thank you
Good review but I could not disagree more about not having an owner's handbook in the car to help the owner find out how essential things work. This model by current standards looks a bit dated but I love those knobs and that is the only reason I not replacing my current car as so many now have virtual sliders and 'knobs' more's the pity.
Always keep the keyfob in your pocket, imagine if you got carjacked and thrown out, at least they wont be able to restart the car later, because you still have the keyfob. And at least you wont get out of the car and say ''sod it'' because you've left the fob in the car.

Nice mini-review John, I appreciate it.
Again many thanks for your kind comments always appreciated
On the middle seat when you have folded it, pull the tab again and you can then push the middle seat down another notch and the seats will align!

I'm glad you said this, I'm getting the 1.0 litre SE L, with a couple of optional extras, I wondered how the power felt to an ordinary person in comparison to a reviewer's.
Good to know 👍

Some day all reviews will be made like this! 👏👍😀 Subscribed👍

Just looked at a 67 plate 1. 5 petrol with 4x4

How do you think the Karoq compares to the Ford Kuga?
Good review.
thank you
Great review
The umbrella is in the door is it not, not under the passenger seat. Otherwise good review of a great car!
Under the passenger seat on the Karoq.
How does it compare to the 2008 mate?
It’s about 12yrs newer
Passenger side lumber support ?
What no 1.5 engine on the sport line 4x4 ??

6:21 reminds me of an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction. ....Didn't realise the car had a willy 😂
🤣
Is the Karoq better to Drive than a VW Tiguan?
The Karoq is made on the same line as the Tiguan but you get a lot more kit for the money.
@@smcgeminimustang thank you
50 mpg? You must have larger wheels on the rear axle, which means you are going downhill more. Never had more than 45mpg.
Many thanks for your comment. Really strange how different cars give different mpg But take it from me that’s what we got from this particular car
UK Pounds?
Small suv. Are you for real?
To be honest the doggo was like "I wouldn't piss on Karoq even if it was on fire".
😂😂
I only seen 1 big nob in this video 😉🤣 weerheeyyy!
Value? It is the most expensive in its class by far.
11:15 modest.. 🤣
What's wrong with ladies keeping tissues in there?!?
Nothing. I always think it’s very thoughtful of a woman keeping tissues there it saves me wiping my self on the sears when we’ve finished 😑
How can reviews like this be allowed? Such ignorant sexist opinions (and I'm a bloke) 😒
Far too much 'waffle' didn't get half-way through video. Went to another Channel for review.
intelligent comment thank you
Yeah but what if you aint dead inside? 3008's have crap engine choice. get the Ateca? yep.
Something wrong with this bloke!
Absolutely boring inside the cab like all vow cars
