there's a remix floating around somewhere on the internet (maybe, if it's still there) it makes the song super intense, I'd say 10x better. I lost the cd I burnt it to, no clue who the remix artist was. Anyone have any ideas just from this description who the remixer would be
You gotta know, but fact is that the style of music that is practiced by Punks Jump Up is commonly known as NuRave, whether they like this appellation or not... I mean there needs to be kind of signification for a certain kind of music, Disco Punk would maybe match for PJU, but definitely not for other bands with a more or less same style as PJU (for example TV On The Radio or Junior Boys) Hope you get what i'm trying to say ;)
Uhm.. no. "Punk" was used by people MAKING the music FIRST, especially in reference to EACH OTHER. So... no, it wasn't a media construct, my friend. Sorry. In fact, the first mass use of the term was by Ed Sanders, who used it to market a tour and to describe an album. Unlike NuRave, which was created by media and is hardly ever used by the people making so-called NuRave, save ironically or with reluctant contempt.
Who gives a crap if it describes a certain style of music? If other people know what it is when you say it then the name has done it's job, pure to the scene or not
Good stuff!
phat bass line like it..great song too
know I'm gonna find you at the disco!!! what a tune my legs want to dance!!
2007 was a good year.

I loved this song...when it came out in 1983. Seriously, tho - I totally love Punks Jump Up. But someone owes Heaven 17 a few royalty checks ;)

David nice T & Scarf from Queens Of Sounds!!
This song is too cool, so is the video. Love.
But NuRave is a media construct that no one takes seriously, least of all those bands supposedly associated with it. Disco Punk or Dance Punk.
Knew that was him, but I couldn't find any proof other than my opinion as the greatest Hives fan to exist

I can't say I like much of the song except the sweet ass synths around 1:22. The video is awesome though =]

New rave is indie kids thinking they've "rediscovered" the rave movement. Any other description is bullshit.
