Yes I am aware Nikola Topic has a partially torn ACL. Thing is this draft is so weak I think his value probably won’t go down especially considering the injury can be healed in 6 months!
@@ramonpunsalang3397even at 8, what’s the point? If he start playing in January, that will them only 3 months to judge. In the next draft there is plenty of PG with much higher projection. Jones as a starter for a playoff team is more than enough( he as a positive P/M this year. If we were a title contender ok, I would be interested by an healthy Topic as a backup PG, who can add some creativity. But for a team like SA, which is still building, you pick the player who can be useful in 2 years or a potentiel that is difficult to find. Sochan had such kind of potential that’s why they draft him. With such logic, the draft target is: the 7 fhers and the guy who are already elite in some field (Shepard for shooting, Dunn for défense, athletic SF like Salaun and Risacher…) If there is no showstoppers on other points ( zero shooting for Dunn…) So even the 8th picks will just be spoiled by taking an injured good, but common player. The logic for topic, is being drafted by a team who need a backup PG
I believe the Spurs should take 6'8 Combo Guard "Cody Williams'(Colorado) at#4 or #8 (if he's still around that long ?), he's young, has skill size, and is a very cerebral player. He's Coach Pop, type of player.
The spurs are not going to draft a player with a torn ACL with their first draft pick. There are ten other guys that are just as talented as topic but that are healthy. The spurs want to get better right away. They don't wanna wait a year for topic to heal.
Well they didn’t trade Jones and are probably gonna resign him long term and considering Jordan Poole will play much more point guard minutes next season they can probably fill in the hole by just signing another guard
The NBA draft lottery is not good for the game. It doesn't stop tanking. Your Detroit pick is awful. They dont need another guard especially a ball dominant one especially a tiny one that obviously cant defend. Detroit needs wings, or even Clingan
Duh, the spurs are so stupid that they can't figure out that it's probably not too smart to waste your top draft pick on a player with a torn ACL. Duh!
You are not the sharpest tool in the shed are you? Imagine just looking at someone’s stats to see if someone dominates 💀 best defender in the draft by far and he will be an elite defender in the nba. You are one lousy person
If Topic goes in the Top 15, this is the weakest draft in history, by far. Dude is NOT a lotto type talent let alone Top 5. And to think, some blind mice had him ranked #1 a year ago. The Adriatic league competition he went up against is neigborhood rec league caliber of players. Dead ass. I'm not taking him at all and that was before the injury. Hard pass.

I bet he’ll be out for the whole year. Teams are going to be cautious with him
He will be there at 8
The spurs be a dam fool drafting a player with a partial torn ACL and knee problems with the 4th pick.
There’s literally no one else to draft atleast he might be a good player
If the Spurs doctors say there is no long-term issue, then draft him at #8.
Exactly right people don’t seem to get that lmao

@ramonpunsalang3397 like they said about kawhi, was healthy, and he wasn't
Topic will miss most of the 2024-25 season because of a torn ACL. So, he will not be drafted at #4 by the Spurs.
can't wait for the draft!
Lfg
Can’t wait to see what my Spurs do.. GSG
A lot of great options!

I think a better fit would be Castle at 8
This is the most genius draft yet rob to the pistons is a can’t miss u giving me hope thank you
Haha no problem boss appreciate you
Nah. Hornets dont need Clingan with Mark. Cody Williams next time please.
Yeah I had him in the previous mock
I want Dalton knecht or Cody Williams in Charlotte
I got reed shepard going at 3 and Stephen castle at 4 with buzelas at 5
Yeah really gonna be interesting to see where Shepard goes
I still Like Filipowski instead of Buzelas
That Evan Mobley comp was spot on.....No thanks, I'll pass!

W draft
Yessir Jeff
Man I hope the Hawks just take Sarr
If Topic is that good, why wouldn't the Wizards take him? They need a PG
