Cavs could trade him for 4 or 5 firsts and Keldon Johnson. Then they could flip all of those picks and Keldon for an all star on a team with no picks. Bradley Beal, KD, PG, etc. If they trade Garland directly for a high lvl player, they wouldn't have any picks to add.

i agree the bulls won the trade. giddey is a great player, he just didnt fit with okc, but if you go back to hia rookie year, he was player of the month for a few months before okc shut him down to tank a bit at the end of the year. i think ppl have very short memory, but im stoked to see giddey play with the bulls moving forward. he has a passing style similar to lamelo, but better....

I'm sorry, but I still don't understand how your saying the bulls won the trade. The bulls could've gotten way more if they traded Caruso at the trade deadline. Also OKC needed someone who can help them to win now and someone who isn't long term. Just because giddey is younger does not mean the bulls won the trade.

I hope you are right. His 3 pt shooting is not great. He was benched in the playoffs because of bad shooting. I am concerned about him. He is young with a lot of upside however.

100% agree with you. Too many people have a completely uniformed view of Giddey. You only have to see how he looked when he was used as the main ball handler rather than some sit in the corner off the ball guy. Great player, but he just didn't fit with OKC's roster construction.

I don't think so. They should've traded someone other than Caruso. I don't think I have an issue with JG, it's just Caruso had that 'give all had and then some' effect that I think was really important to the Chicago team. Kinda reminds me of Joakim Noah. Ultimately, I can't do anything about it so they'll do what they do... but losing that defensive capabilities does hurt. (at least, all in my opinion).

They definitely won the trade, a true building block, something who can get the ball to athletes on the move like AYO, wright, Colby, terry, and Williams,,,, screw a draft pick this kid has 3 years of production in this league… 21 yr old that’s still younger than a 3 or 4 yr college kid

So many people are judging this trade on a player for player comparison at this moment in time. Swapping an injury prone 30 year old for a high upside 21 year old 6-8 true point guard will be considered a good trade in the future. This sets up the team on a path to focus around young developing players instead of the older high price players we have now….. that are getting us nowhere. Time will show that in the end Chicago and OKC both won the trade. They both got what they needed

Coby White was our PG last year in Chicago. Played 79 games, averaged 36mpg, 19/4.5/5.1 in his first year as a starting PG. Shot nearly 38% from 3, good defender. That's not "desperately need a PG." Bulls FO is just incredibly inept and lacks vision.
