Girl, you know most of us be using Jiffy but do exactly what you doing - we call it "doctoring it up!"
I know we do.. cause sometimes I don't feel like making it from scratch 😒. Lol..
I make mine with Jiffy cornbread mix. I add what the box says, then I add 1 tbsp flour, about 1/2 cup sourcream and 2 tbsp honey. It’s delicious!!!?

I also add 2 tablespoon of mayo , cream corn and 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese. I make several diff cornbreads, but this one I love with spaghetti & chili beans. Sorry for talking so much but I love food comments. Be blessed this 2024.🎆💜🎇

Your editor is overlapping clips. Makes it a little difficult to follow. I,would leave out the extra sugar, tho. Jiffy mix is already too sweet, so i can see how adding extra cornmeal would tone that down. Also, if i want cake, i make cake. Thanks, for the great ideas!
Yes! YOU can definitely leave out the extra sugar if you don't like sweet cornbread, however jiffy isn't sweet enough for ME though! I'm aware of Jiffy having sugar in it already but it isn't enough to my liking... so that's why I choose to add more.. And the overlap of clips didn't leave out anything that was important..
