He puts on a brave face, but we all know Mitch is dying inside every time one of those girls bests him 😆

But is he stronger than 4 8th grade girls?

That would be much easier, since their advantage had nothing to do with strength, but more to do with weight and especially friction.
If they were sitting and had something to put their feet against, I reckon he would have won against the whole team.

I think it was pretty impressive how quickly the girls adapted to tug of war . Just between the first and second go , in the first one they were falling all over pulling at different times . The second go , they were more coordinated saying “pull “ working as a team . Great job !
😂 I was wondering how many of them had seen squid game against the FCC’s will
I am ALWAYS amazed how quickly students can adapt at these ages. Humans are truly crazy
Holy fuck man, between dunking, competing in world drive competitions, throwing a baseball 80mph with little training, a 3:24 marathon, WSM and other top tier strongman wins. Dare I say: you have a case for one of the most versatile and all around athletes on the planet.
He truly seems like physically all rounder in short
Dont forget about the Gold but yea this dude monster
oh drive as in golf drive nvm lol don't play gold my self and forgot
I wonder what kind of training he does to be able to jump that high. Being strong alone doesn't help with jumping. It didn't for me.
@@azsegrxdhtfgvijnkomlewrhtg9508 I am interested as well. I am 6'2 250ish and I could only dunk when I was 18-19 and weighed 190-200. I can just barely grab the rim now and Mitch has like 80 pounds on me, which makes me wonder what I am doing wrong.
I used to work in wraparound childcare and, being a powerlifter at the time, made up an activity for the day where they'd do bitesize Strongman, but being a responsible human-puppy herder, I toned it down to what I thought was their level. They monkeystomped every event I made. Massive underestimation of the strength of wee kids on my part.
I'm giving you a thumbs up just for your skill in writing. 😂 Great story!
Numbers add up man. Thats how the pyramids were built.
I'm a relatively big dude at 6'2, 220 pounds. I play a game with my 5 year old daughter where we basically arm wrestle except I use my arm and she uses her legs. It's literally hopeless for me. The strength of little kids is unreal.

Pulling 8 of them is still kinda insane. Assuming their average weight is 80-90 lbs, that would be 650ish pounds against him (about double his bodyweight), but unlike still weight they actually move and create more friction
At a certain point it is an exercise of weight and friction, not strength.

Props to those girls! My kid is that age and I feel like I've failed her in the sport department! They were super impressive!
Teacher was a good sport too. What a great thing for you to do Mitch. Very encouraging to see.
Nah. You’re doing just fine lol. The tug of war was kind of irrelevant for multiple reasons while things like the planks were accomplished because of low weight and still not having good form while doing it. I think as long as you exposed your child to some sports and made her interested in at least some physical activities you’ve done great
Your best video yet, great mix of strength and entertainment! 💪
Crazy that you can dunk with that weight/height as well, did not expect that.

I love this, is sets the mind and drive to work together as a team. Proving to them that alone we can do our best to be strong, but our super power as humans is working together to meet face to face with something tough, and that's what makes us stronger. I'm so surprised by how much force a bunch of small girls can put out! Wow :D
Not so much about force - it's all about weight and friction. 20+ feet vs 2.
@@staceygram5555 Yeah it's all about total mechanical friction. The girls have a larger net surface area of contact and ultimately a high force output possible from that.
That's how 50 jews with ropes and a sled can pull a 20 ton stone up a hill and build the Pyramids.
If you tested how much the girls could deadlift, he would likely lift more than 20 of them put together
@@aarondimoff5180 Keep telling yourself that, The science doesn't check out. Nearly half a ton each up a steep incline? They must have been some JACKED jews.
Dude. Dunking at that size is WILD.
320lb+ dunking at 6’3”
This is such wholesome fun. When I was their age I absolutely loved Worlds Strongest Man and looked forward to it every year. I’m sure they had a great time.
This reminds me of my PE teacher in elementary school, he got everyone interested in all kinds of stuff and he brought this kind of excitement every day. He got the biggest cheers at the awards ceremony and it’s because of stuff like this.
6:57 The power of the mob is mind-blowing, this is the world's strongest man...
More like the power of friction. Twelve girls combine to 24 contact patches vs Mitchell's 2.
i think if he was on some more grippy surface he would win. u can tell he was winning in strength he just couldn't stop from sliding forwards
@@wss33this and they have a weight advantage
12 combined - or less LOL- would out muscle the WSM or probably anyone. Their combined weight would be north of 1000 pounds. The girls pulling was chaotic and poorly coordinated but I seriously doubt anyone could win especially if they learned to pull together more effectively. He is the WSM, a great athlete and a good man, but he is also, like us all, only human.
@idk9637 70-80 x 10 = 700-800 lbs plus 20 feet it's massive surface area for friction. Not to mention they all have varying times of pulling whereas mitch has to go for big bursts of pull he can't pull equally at all times. Meaning when his burst is over he slides back any progress he gains.
Lastly I'll mention probably the average girl here could deadlift about 60-100 lbs is my guess so I really think he is stronger than all combined based on pure force. The variables of the tug is what messes it up
The dunk easily impressive. Really carrying the banner for WSM. Awesome
that's awesome mate, good times spent with the youngsters
Love the content
Tug of war is mostly a game of grip. So you have a few options to make grip, stickier shoes, shoes that dig into the ground like cleats on grass, increasing the force pressing your foot too the ground (weight more), or pulll upward on the rope, pulling up wards does two things, one it uses a little bit if the opponents weight to help press you into the ground, and 2, that same amount it presses you into the ground extra, it lifts the other side giving them slightly less grip. As you can see their are "coordination" issues as well where people fall over sometimes, those are also times of lower grip cause rubber grips the floor better than clothing. There are some options where you can use temporary jerks of said rope to set them off balance but typically its a pretty gimmicky strat. I guess if you play on a magnetic floor with magnetic shoes this could be a different game entirely. But without "extra" grip typically you aren't at a point where core bracing, grip strength, rowing ability, and the like make a significant difference.
This needs to be made an official strongman event.
It is.
I mean, tug of war is.
Not against little girls, though 😂
@@staceygram5555 Ok uhhh, let me re-phrase to avoid confusion, Tug of War against 10 or 12 nine year old kids needs to be made an Official Strongman event.
@@jason540 More like 20-30, when tug of war isn't played on slippery surface then it becomes a pure test of strength unlike here, if he was on concrete he could have won agaist at least 25 of them.
@@notrius7754 Why don't you just marry him lol 20-30?? You're delusional. What do you think he is a Clydesdale?? He's one guy. If each kid can pull like 50-70lbs and there's say 15 kids, that's upwards 1050lbs sustained load he has to awkwardly hold on to and fight against not to mention if they were synchronized in their tugging efforts that load could be upwards of 1300lb or more every time they tugged. But yeah double it to 30 now?? Uhhh okkk... Do it on concrete and they'll have even more of a chance! If it were an actual event the kids would not only practice for it but they would be selected based on performance and that number selected would be 10-12 not f'n 30... lol
My man out here answering the real questions in life 💯
Great job man! Those kids will remember that experience for life 😊
Is there anything this guy can't do? Truly an amazing athlete!
I don't know whether to be amazed by the fact that 9 little girls beat the worlds strongest man...
Or petrified that would take a lot less little girls to beat, ANYBODY ELSE ON EARTH! 😱🤣
Lmao the only reason he was losing is because he kept sliding. If he had more traction, he could take on 25 little girls easily
When you play tug of war, the opponent falls down when losing, here you are seeing him getting pulled because of slippery floor and difference in friction.
You dont play tug of war on a slippery surface because then strenght doesn't really matter. I remember how we once in primary school played a tug of war in gym hall and it was fucking chaos, everyone was collapsing and shit, you gotta play this game on grass or concrete or smth.
Awesome workout for you !! And Awesome to hang out with the kids ! This is what all kids need today ! Fun and enjoyment! Not technology.
Damn man, the more vids I see of you, the more impressed I am. Youre a beast in many variety’s. Never thought a WSM would be able to dunk a basketball lol
Not only was that great fun to watch but I bet those kids remember that for the rest of their lives.
It's about traction, too
The world's strongest man still only has 2 feet to grip the ground
yeah- Was thinking it was just about their weight. 10 girls at 70 pounds on average would weight more than a 320 pound man. But to your point the girls have more shoe surface area on their shoes as well.
This video was jsut pure bliss to watch :D
Commenting for the algorithm. Great content. 🎉
I did not expect you to dunk with such ease. We're the same height and I'm 50kg lighter, but I could barely touch the rim. Absolutely nuts.
Elementary school hoops are generally a foot closer to the ground.
it's not THAT shocking that he can make his 150kg frame jump high considering he deadlifts 300kg+...
similar muscle groups are used,
Mitch is 6"3 according to google and @5:20 he's completely splayed out while dunking... that looks like a full 10 foot ring
