Thanks for your help with this! The PDF instructions for this crack yak are outdated and not complete so this video was very helpful!
Thank you James for making the video! Really appreciate it. I can't wait to get her into the air! 🎉
Just put mine together...thanks to this video . Made a super fast build...ordering a BIGGER one from twisted hobby’s....the 32 crack will stay in my truck... and did I mention that they can take a beating!!!
I have 2 of the 39 inchers....GET ONE!!! AWESOME PLANES!!
This was super helpful. I'm building the laser light, but having this in addition to the instructions was invaluable. Thanks for taking the time.
Edit: Actually after moving forward in the assemble, the instructions are quite horrible. Steps not addressed. Pictures that show close ups without context of the big picture. Very easy to make mistakes that you find out after gluing. The model is probably fine but the instructions need to be improved. So far very frustrating build.
Thank you for one of the best video so far.
I've seen a lot of build videos but I have to say that you're really good at them keep them coming
Just some advice for the guys that fly 3D and is building this plane. Skip the step where you fold the hinges back overnight! Cut the hinge down the middle and add your own CA hinges. The foam hinges suck, they will rip and tare and no matter how much you fold them or let them sit with weight on them they will NEVER be as good as a real mechanical hinge or a CA hinge. I have a few of these planes, one using the default foam hinge and the others with mechanical hinges or CA hinges and the foam hinge sucks balls. It strains out the servo and the throw is not good. that's my 2 cents, take it for what it is. Good luck and have fun flying!
question ? did you never glue you servos ???
Hi James. Just a quick question. The servos are not glued in the plane, aren't they? The foam hold them in place, right?
It seems that on the czech manual (RC Factory) they are glued, in the american manual (Twisted Hobbys) not. I glued mine, but I bet they should old quite well even if not glued!
Nice video! I have the 22" version its awesome
sorry - I have the 24" version :)
thank you James!!!!
What about just leaving the battery Velcroed to the top side of the fuselage?
Hi James , can i ask , what motor did you use in your Yak ? I am now looking to order one and the power pack here in the UK that is suggested is the T-motor 2204 , 1800kv , but i have also seen it suggested to use the AXI 2204 2300kv but the AXI is more expensive , any advice will be a great help , many thanks ........
I am using the 2206 1450KV motor on mine from Twisted Hobbys. Works great. Not sure about those two motors, but I would say the T Motor due to its lower KV.
Its an official twistedhobby build video, but you don't show anything about landing gears. :(((
How do you put the landing gear on
Has anyone used foam2foam glue instead of CA?
What Jeti RX did you use for your build?
fly video next?
6.13 in this video, what is the black epp thickness ?
What about the landing gear?
Did you and how did you install the aileron differential horn? Is it nedessary in the Crack Yak?
Dr John Feuerbacher I would recommend using it
Hello. What kind of tape are you using here? Thanks!
