GHG 2.0: A new chapter

- For a couple years now, I’ve been stuck - in need of change.
After lots of thought, I’ve decided to reboot Green Ham Gaming.
This video shares a bit of the motivation behind re-activating the channel. How my interests in tech, tinkering and video making have sort of collided in recent times. Restarting the channel and trying to turn it into a job for a little while makes sense now more than ever.
The video also shares about how to give myself a further push to go through with it, I decided dive head first into something very new and unfamiliar.
To travel far from home. From the comfort of Australia to an unfamiliar Sweden. To spend a few months living in a completely foreign country to me, with a friend who was in fact one of green ham gaming’s first subscribers. A true tinkerer who knows Green Ham Gaming better than almost anyone. Together we plan to build PC’s, tinker and share whatever tech tangents we find ourselves on with you as GHGtv episodes. It’s already been lots of fun and I can’t wait to share all that is coming up.
This video marks the beginnings of a new chapter for the channel. Hopefully it will be a chapter of greater consistency with regular uploads, a renewed passion and of course plenty of under-appreciated hardware.
The “GHGtv+u” Patreon membership is not available yet but will hopefully be ready by the next episode upload. There is absolutely zero pressure to contribute to that and don’t worry, videos will never be put behind any pay-wall. Patreon members and free channel viewers will receive videos at the same time.

I remember discovering your channel, some 6 or 7 years ago now, while I was going through a particularly traumatic time in my life. Your soft, warm delivery of subject matter that was especially interesting to me helped me through some of my darkest days. Very glad to see you back, and I hope this journey is joyous and creatively fulfilling.

There’s something really special about this channel.
I instantly clicked, man. I'm excited for the rebirth of the channel, and yourself. There's a huge, huge market for tech of the last 20-ish years as our age group continues to grow up and reminisce on what we used to play with, and this is going to capture it very well. Love it.

Im 21. I started watching your videos when I was 13. I’ve also kinda felt like I’ve lost myself man, i think the pandemic had alot to do with it especially the price increases on pc components which really got me out of the loop and uninterested in consumer electronics. I look forward to what you got in the works, and hope you find yourself, and in you finding yourself I find myself from seeing you find yourself as well ❤
Feel the same way, I'm 22 and started watching around the same age as you. From this video, it sounds like not only is GHG returning, but it sounds like he's had a similar journey to us over the past few years with his passions. He grew with us in some ways

insane, i am also 21 now as of 3 weeks ago and started watching this guy when i was probably about 13 years old too. his videos kickstarted my obsession with retro gaming (esp ps1 related stuff) and similarly to ghg I too found myself stuck in a bit of a rut these last few years where i feel as though i've lost myself a bit. a recent trip to japan for my 21st has put me back on the right track though. happy to see this guy starting to upload again :,)
This is THE channel that got me into messing around with computers and im so excited to see whats next.

Been watching you since I found your channel at least 7 years ago. I've been the same way since then. 3 years ago I got diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, and everything has changed for me. I've been getting better as time has gone on. I've been trying so hard to get better, and now I think I've finally found stability in my life. I'm glad to see that things are looking up for you too!
I do want to say that do not at all feel upset or any sort of regret if this plan of yours doesn't work out! I, and I'm sure many of your subscribers know how difficult mental health is for everyone. If you end up not being able to keep up with this new plan. I fully understand! Put yourself first before everyone else. I am wishing for the best.
Also nice Dan Mason music. I love his stuff. I remember when I first heard Gran Turismo/Shenmue music on your videos. I have a video game playlist when I livestream and I play Gran Turismo music A LOT on my stream. Same with Sims 1 music

Take as long as you need to pump videos out buddy, your fans are still here and plenty more are out there ready to find your content. We're not going anywhere and we'll be here when your uploads come. Your videos inspired a lot of people to get into building a "gaming" pc, myself included and will inspire many more when you make them. Best of luck making your newer videos.

I began watching your videos when I was around 8 years old, something about your videos, always stuck with me, and, to be honest, you sparked what became my career in computer hardware.
I had had an interest in computers since I was a toddler, and was as good as my parents when using them.
Seeing the computers you had constantly butt heads, do things that I never thought they could do.
Every time you've uploaded it felt like Christmas morning, and now here you are.

I starting watching this channel when I was like 15-16? I’m 21 now your videos got me interested in tech as a hobby then a job. Joined the Army as an IT Specialist one more year and I’ll be out of the service 2 more years and I’ll have my bachelors in Cyber Security.

Watching your videos during my teenhood was therapeutical, It was an escape from all the shit that I had to go through in highschool.
