Had James truly loved him, though, he would never have thrown him out into a storm. I find the whole Ste, Harry & James triangle too stupid and tough to believe to pay any attention to it. Unless viewers have poorer memories than a gold fish, they would never have bought into this strange storyline Hollyoaks has put together with those three.

So by logical assumption, when Harry changes his mind and returns to James even after having married Ste, James would have been happy and welcoming, had he truly loved Harry. If he is more concerned about being second choice, than about being together with the one he claims to love, than clearly he cannot be in love. i loved when james rejected him,like is such soapy goodness,all this as been about harry putting waht his family needs a head of what he need,yes cowardice played a part that why he want through with the wedding when the crisis had passed,but when he finally grew a pair and broke up with ste in athe hospital when ste needed hin the most and the old harry would have just folded and been there for ste,but finally ,he put himself and his relationship with james a head of what people needed from him,he finally walked away ,except in true soap fashion james as head enough,but oh wait the final straw for James is a misunderstanding. James was with Harry to make him feel young and get bits of the teenage years that Mac took from him.

Wow what a heartbreaking episode. I was left utterly devastated with the final moments. Lily getting saved by the man she is going to hurt and cheat on and Tegan died. The reaction of her family members said it all. I can't even begin to imagine how Ste feels. He has lost so many loved ones in the last 5 years. The love of his life, his mum, Doug, father, step mum, Amy, his daughter, Ryan and now his sister.
There's a lot of hate for Harry here and I guess it's justified... I'm probably biased because he's one of my favourite characters but I think he has also suffered a lot during this. We've seen that he has felt trapped in his relationship for a long time and that he felt like he owed his family and Ste to act and feel in a certain way... At no point has anyone really tried to properly understand what he went through with the Amy ordeal, it was like... Everybody turned their backs on him (Tony disowned him, Ste jumped on Ryan) and then afterwards for things to work out everybody wanted to forget what had happened and demanded for things to just go back to the way they were before even though that was very obviously never going to work... Because they decided to forgive him for the things he did he wasn't allowed to expect anything in return even though Harry has already forgiven a lot of horrible things from both Ste and Tony in the past. So I've felt really bad for Harry in all of this and still think he deserves happiness at some point.. There's no denying he has been acting like a douchebag lol but I honestly think it's out of confusion and powerlessness, not because he ever wanted to hurt anyone.
Looking back, it's not a mystery why Harry turned to James. I actually think the story has been written well. Harry felt like James was the only one he could be himself with because James was the only one who actually LISTENED, showed interest in what he was going through and saw him for him... At the same time Ste had forgiven Harry for some horrible things so how could he ever leave Ste without feeling horrible and guilty? That dilemma has really pushed him over the brink. OK so that's the end of my rant for now lol...

OMG. A shock to the system. Poor Ste, I do feel for him. He lost the love of his life, his little sister and his dream. I'm really sorry for Tegan, what a shame. I'm glad that James didn't take anymore bull.. from Harry and called him for what he is... What a unfortunate day. But apart from all that drama, the scenes were great. I did enjoy them.
that scene between harry and james was perfect ,its only fitting that james will have enough just when harry finally grew a backbone and made his choice and broke his ties.i cant wait for where they go from here.
I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Ste needed to hear that Harry x James wasn't just an affair but that he's in love with him. James is understandably messed up right now because of his teenage son so I can't blame him for his reaction. But Jarry has always been such a beautiful slow burn so this little 'break up' needed to happen for them to have a clean slate in the future.

wait people actually think jarry is over?,what soaps have you guys been watching,the break up is important storywise for two reason,the break give the writers space to focus on james /romeo and two to set a reset button for this relationship so they can actually start from more healthy place when harry comes back,thirs they are not giong to let the misunderstanding stand forever ,james will find out that ste wanted to stay with harry and harry broke it off because of james ,and he is probably going to find out after harry is gone.
I don't think Ste wanted to stay with Harry he just needed support at that moment. It's also a good thing they are actually over because with tegan dead Ste will be having some mixed feelings of guilt in who he saved from the falling tree. It's truly over for Ste and Harry there is no coming back after that.

I get that James is still reeling from the revelation that he has a son with the woman his father forced him to have sex with in an effort to "make him straight" 🙄 but he is, for the most part, a rational adult, and when Romeo was tied down under water and he didn't reach his hand out to bring him out of the water...that's low. You don't just walk away - you set aside your demons while that adrenaline is pumping and you do what you need to do to save a life. Also...Tegan was my favorite Lomax girl. I'm gonna go cry for a bit.

I'm going to miss Teagan. I didn't see that coming. She was one of the few sane people in that village, let alone that family. On another note, that was one of the phoniest tornados I've ever seen, and the Hollyoaks sign flying away made me laugh. You could almost see the wires lifting it off the ground. Another thing: are the weather reports supposed to be local or national? If they're national (which they look like), it seems odd that they keep zeroing in on a small village like Hollyoaks. You'd think they would be more general, like talking about the Manchester area, or northwest England. It just seems odd to me.

If you are gonna be happy for James and Harry eventually being a couple then fair enough, however there is no reason to dismiss and be in denial about Harry's previous feelings for Ste. Harry DID love Ste and was in love with him for a good while but now he is not. Harry wanting James now doesn't diminish what he and Ste had. Yes it all went horribly wrong but they had genuine strong feelings for one another. It's comments like this that would never make like jarry apart from other issues!

So I've felt really bad for Harry in all of this and still think he deserves happiness at some point.. There's no denying he has been acting like a douchebag lol but I honestly think it's out of confusion and powerlessness, not because he ever wanted to hurt anyone.
Looking back, it's not a mystery why Harry turned to James. I actually think the story has been written well. Harry felt like James was the only one he could be himself with because James was the only one who actually LISTENED, showed interest in what he was going through and saw him for him... At the same time Ste had forgiven Harry for some horrible things so how could he ever leave Ste without feeling horrible and guilty? That dilemma has really pushed him over the brink. OK so that's the end of my rant for now lol...

I'm glad that James didn't take anymore bull.. from Harry and called him for what he is... What a unfortunate day. But apart from all that drama, the scenes were great. I did enjoy them.

I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Ste needed to hear that Harry x James wasn't just an affair but that he's in love with him. James is understandably messed up right now because of his teenage son so I can't blame him for his reaction. But Jarry has always been such a beautiful slow burn so this little 'break up' needed to happen for them to have a clean slate in the future.

wait people actually think jarry is over?,what soaps have you guys been watching,the break up is important storywise for two reason,the break give the writers space to focus on james /romeo and two to set a reset button for this relationship so they can actually start from more healthy place when harry comes back,thirs they are not giong to let the misunderstanding stand forever ,james will find out that ste wanted to stay with harry and harry broke it off because of james ,and he is probably going to find out after harry is gone.
I don't think Ste wanted to stay with Harry he just needed support at that moment. It's also a good thing they are actually over because with tegan dead Ste will be having some mixed feelings of guilt in who he saved from the falling tree. It's truly over for Ste and Harry there is no coming back after that.

I get that James is still reeling from the revelation that he has a son with the woman his father forced him to have sex with in an effort to "make him straight" 🙄 but he is, for the most part, a rational adult, and when Romeo was tied down under water and he didn't reach his hand out to bring him out of the water...that's low. You don't just walk away - you set aside your demons while that adrenaline is pumping and you do what you need to do to save a life.
Also...Tegan was my favorite Lomax girl. I'm gonna go cry for a bit.

I'm going to miss Teagan. I didn't see that coming. She was one of the few sane people in that village, let alone that family. On another note, that was one of the phoniest tornados I've ever seen, and the Hollyoaks sign flying away made me laugh. You could almost see the wires lifting it off the ground. Another thing: are the weather reports supposed to be local or national? If they're national (which they look like), it seems odd that they keep zeroing in on a small village like Hollyoaks. You'd think they would be more general, like talking about the Manchester area, or northwest England. It just seems odd to me.
