Thanks so much for all your kind comments. People that know my channel will also know that I am a solitary character ( apart from dogs ) and this was a completely overwhelming experience for me and honestly, quite a few times I found myself struggling to explain myself clearly. There is a temptation to clarify much of what I said but I'm not going to do that , I trust that most people understand where I'm coming from. Talking about such personal experiences and being so exposed is not easy and I was dreading this interview coming out but having watched it, I'm glad I did it and hope it makes sense and is of some use to others. Thanks again.
Of extremely good use to others. Thank goodness for your honesty and sharing Sam. Xx a girl in Ireland. This will help untold numbers. Has to. So unusual not to hear fluff rubbish
Now THIS guy Sam - he is stunning and brave! To open up for us his early life traumas, his experiences trying to make sense of the world, his decisions along the way, and his path back to a truly authentic way of being. Impressed by his honesty, insight and wise heart. Thank you, and may all blessings walk with you for the rest of your journey 💖
For some reason, people keep using the word 'Brave' completely wrong. Politicians and the media do it all the time. In the context you used it, the word needed is courageous. They both have very different meanings. The biggest coward on the planet, President Zelenski, was revered for being so brave, and people say they are in awe of his sheer bravery, living in luxury in a fully stocked and equipped modern underground facility. People don't want to learn anything about their own language anymore, which is worse than people think, meaning is unknown or misunderstood, so people mean something different to the worst spoken, and are fully convinced they understand everything they heard....they didn't just get the wrong end of the stick, there is no stick. Even slang has lost its meaning, it was used as a secret language which referred to words in their own language... ask some kids on the street what obscure word they use actually means in English, and they say it doesn't, it just means what it says, it's street talk, straight up chita, no messin' blud init, naaha'sayin Gee? I asked some people what state they grew up in, and only 3 or 4 would tell me, either it's a secret or they don't know... so I asked to point to the general area on the world map, and only 2 pointed to America. So I ended by asking them which continent would go to if they were going to Egypt... they all said Egypt... i had to add a question due to confusion and convincing myself this must be a joke, and I asked them all to point to a different continent... i was using an iPad, and they zoomed in and pointed to random islands in the Pacific. Most people think I was talking to under privileged kids in the ghetto, without an education, but I all but 1 are University students. I finally left and one guy rode past on a mountain bike, I said you do realise your back wheel is going round, how can you ride it and now feel that, looks dodgy man. He started pushing it 🤣...bit of a rant, but the mind of humanity is dissolving before our eyes, the generation which will teach the next, and the next, which will inevitably invert the learning process, everyone will have any knowledge, curiosity, interests, and naturally developing logic and reason removed from the vocabulary, and everything you do know, will be a conspiracy and handed a laptop with a youtube playlist explaining that stonehenge is actually made of metal and covered in a geopolymer stone and set in giant moulds, and didn't exist until 1950s when the government secretly erected it, then photographed the secret building and showed the world.... oh and Austrailia is a fake country it doesn't exist 🤣... People have gone doolally, and it's getting worse.
Agree, they are doing a public service. Because it warns, helps others. Nearly all men who have their penis cut off, regret it. That is something they must take into account.
@@MrLoonzythat spiel is completely off topic but I agree wholeheartedly with it. Such a fascinating deep hole to enter but I wont here because this conversation is about Sam and his journey through life. I have so much respect for this man who is so 'courageously' sharing his experiences. His ability to explain to us and himself the turmoil of his life is commendable.
This guy is the most open and retrospective speaker on teams that I've come across. I love the host for his naïve, genuine interest in the conversations he has, it really shows on this session with his very raw questions that we all want to understand. Really insightful and I hope the guest gets so much more airtime because he has done the work to understand himself and what appears to be common to many people who have felt the same.
Loved this conversation, what a warm, genuine man Sam is. All the trauma and experience but still has innocence about him😊Thank you Andrew, keep up the great work you do🫶
But not bright, Sam had the options in modern medicine to; A. Do nothing and pretend to be happy, possibly creating a fantasy world built on denial. B. Go to a competent surgeon to perform a phalo to vaginally plastic or whatever it's called C. Go to the alley way and ask a bum/doctor to chop off his penis and then spend the rest of his life making UA-cam videos complaining about his own short comings (pun intended) and blame others to live off of UA-cam video income. He made the smart choice
Perhaps, but he’s so completely and utterly traumatized and his self-mutilation was simply a bandaid for this gaping axe wound that’s still festering and on the verge of going into sepsis. His trauma is swirling just below the surface and it’s truly heartbreaking to hear- and I don’t believe he’s ready to face it, even now. I don’t believe it’s some intrinsic need to feel some sort of maternal disguise and that’s what he’s been lacking. I think it runs much deeper than that. I would never wager to put words into someone else’s mouth, but he’s still working through something that seems very obvious.
Poor guy, I could feel the pain in his voice when talking about his childhood. He has come so far now and should be very proud of himself. He's here and he's still fighting like the rest of us. Xx
He needs to deal with that 'pain', thats what caused/causes all his problems. Therapists today are not really helping ppl, more like enabling. Most couldn't handle me as their therapist bc they can't handle the truth, I am too honest for them.
What an incredibly honest and interesting person Sam is. It takes guts to talk about his experience so openly. So maddening that doctors don’t question more thoroughly before providing hormones and surgery. Somehow Sam seems to have found how to live a content and self accepting life which is very admirable after everything he’s endured.
I don't think any therapy would work as they are so determined to have surgery, I think it's after the fact they realise what have I done unfortunately
Sam is special, and I pray that he continues speaking the truth. It's refreshing and essential especially today. He's so well spoken. He is a light in this time of darkness.
Very sad how Sam's parents so cruelly neglected him & inflicted terrible damage upon him. God bless Sam and may he find comfort. I feel anger toward his parents. What is truely extraordinary is how Sam has retained his beautiful, sensitive, inquisitive compassionate humanity, in spite of his terrible, horrible parenting. I wish you all the best, Sam. I hope you find peace & love in your life because you are a lovely man.
I’ve been following Sam here on UA-cam for a while. Hearing him here, so clear, so unequivocal, so confident, makes me happy for him. He’s struggled long and hard and I can hear a difference in him in this interview that feels very positive. Well done, Sam!
This guy is so intelligent, well-spoken and amazing...he should write a book! Little ones need so much love😮❤ If he had a loving safe childhood he would have not suffered all this difficulty.😲 And his desire for female love would have been with a wife who really appreciated what a beautiful person he is !! Now he sees the value of life & people beyond sexualization. After all he has been through he is so good at critical thinking and communicating ANYONE would like having him for a friend. What an awesome person...so brave and straight talk to young people!
Traumatic childhood can sometimes “make” people gay, but more often in situations like this it is inborn homosexuality combined with societal contempt for homosexuals that lead people like him to become trans
This guy is such a good communicator like many de-transitioners that Ive heard. There must be many who arent at this level and I imagine they live hard lives bless them.
Many are extremely intelligent. I think it may go hand in hand with being TOO much in one's head and not enough in the body when making that fateful choice to begin with.
"I think people try to make sense of themselves by referensing cultural narratives." This is such an important point from Sam. We all do this to some extent. Sam is an amazing honest and humble human being. I highly recommend his channel.
What a lovely and powerful conversation. This is so refreshing (and I say this knowing there's so much pain and terrible experience here) and this topic has needed this kind of maturity and empathy and sobriety. Thank you for hosting this, Andrew. And thank you so, so much, Sam for your candor, grace, perspective, and even humor. You seem like a genuinely insightful and kind person. I'm a middle-aged, straight, cisgender woman who has been grimly fascinated by this impossibly bizarre shift in cultural conversation. But you shed such a warm and wise light on it. I'm so glad I came across this interview. Thank you both.
What a wonderful, down to earth, honest sweet and witty person. I’d love to spend time talking with him. I wish him all the love and peace he deserves. Lovely interview. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for talking to Sam. I discovered his videos when he was still Maya, 4 years ago I believe, exploring the issues of childhood trauma and he allowed me to understand another aspect of what pushes men towards this idea of “transition”. I was so moved when he announced his name was Sam. His point of view is extremely precious.
Not intelligent, unless you consider having no life skills to get legitimate employment so he goes to a back alley bum "doctor" to cut off his penis and spend the rest of his life complaining about it and blaming others for his short coming by spending all day making UA-cam videos about it to get income off of views
@@RayColeman-l8x you go to a back alley "doctor" you get what you pay for. These desperate UA-cam view paycheck grifters are just desperate for content. People aren't lining up desperately to have their organs removed in real life
Incredible guest! I thoroughly enjoyed this chat, so honest and thoughtful. I don't think I've ever come across a person with as solid an understanding of themselves, trauma and just life in general. Sam's voice should be elevated, society desperately needs to hear what he has to say.
This is the most powerful episode of Heretics I've seen. I feel he dealt with struggle and confusion, young people now are mutilating themselves with trends that from a social perspective are no different to goth or emo. I dread to think of the fallout we'll see in the future, people view lobotomies poorly now, but they didn't have constant social high level interactions, they weren't constantly recorded. It was one and done, your life wasn't a book for everyone to view, and the lobotomy patients were at least out of it enough to no longer care for the most part.
💯 exactly! This has become a social contagion and fad for young people (especially young girls) and the fallout is already happening! Detrans people are coming forward in large numbers to make their stories known and to fight back against this devastating and predatory ideology!
I am a post op trans woman and a goth. Transition isn't comparable to goth. One is a music and clothing preference and one is a treatment for gender dysphoria. Getting bottom surgery a little over 7 years ago was one of the best things I have ever done. It's done wonders for my gender dysphoria. That is a far cry from enjoying The Cure and wearing black clothing.
Thankyou again Sam!! Awesome interview...but how could it not be with your beautiful, gentle nature combined with your intellectual precision for pinpoint descriptions!!👏😊🩷 You made 2 absolutely GOLD comments " the sacredness of being male or female" & "It's an attack on Truth"... totally... TOTALLY!! Love you Sam!!🙏😊🩷
Sam is so incredibly self aware and honest . I have supported his content on youtube where he just speaks from his path of trying to heal from awful abuse and internalized shame / alienation from himself. This discussion of how that dovetailed with the subject of being eclipsed from your gender identity as a result of that is profound. There are many ways to try to navigate and find ways through dissociation due to trauma - - its obvious the gender bender surgical pipeline is rife with offering "fixes" to deeply internalized pain from traumatic lack of self presence. Much love and appreciation to Sam and Andrew for this conversation.
Yes, a predatory surgical pipeline. Using vulnerable abuse victims and the mentally disturbed as experiments is actually criminal: may justice be swift for the corporate capture class
I've watched Sam's journey on his channel and witnessed how much stronger he's become. His perspective on this issue is a vital insight into this topic and an important addition to the cultural narrative. When he said: "everyone is just trying to make sense of themselves" I thought yes... but we're not all up to the task - for whatever reason: trauma, autism, SA, mental illness. We need others with better perspectives, sanity and wisdom to push back against our self-delusion and madness. When Sam transitioned he wasn't as stable as he is now in order to make the proper decisions for himself. He was severely traumatized by abuse and neglect. He needed people to question his skewed self-perceptions, push back on his theories and offer therapy but, he didn't get that. Deciding to transition into a woman was how he processed the trauma he endured. But, at least he made that decision as an adult...unlike many of the kids today. Speaking generally on this issue and not directly at Sam, whom I like very much, I feel this movement has had a tremendously deleterious effect on women and girls. It has forced women into becoming like emotional support animals for men, to accommodate them in our dresses, our spaces and our sports, making their personal issues not just their struggle but ours as well, with the admonishment to "shut up and be kind" or risk being doxed, physically threatened, verbally abused and called slurs...despite how utterly unfair it is to us. Women's once natural instincts of generosity, empathy and kindness towards this issue have been weaponized against us and we've been taken advantage of by this misogynistic movement. Gender ideology is a web of lies that starts and ends with rejection of self, of truth and of reality. I'm glad to hear someone as compelling and articulate as Sam confirm that.
I wish I could upvote your comment a million times. I believe the far left , and now just "the left" has betrayed women, girls, and vulnerable folks. I find it unforgiveable. I could never be a Republican, but I am now an Independent. I reject candidates who embrace this insanity. Society needs boundaries. Yes, we push at those boundaries from time to time to correct them, but to do away with them all (which is a tenet of queer/trans ideology) can only destroy it(and us)
I feel so bad for Sam, he has been failed by so many people and society itself, but he’s still so brave to talk about something so personal to help others.
Liberal who moved from the west to the Midwest in the USA and I just found your content after getting my community health worker certification….wow. I was alone thinking I would lose my job agreeing with content like this. I hope we can help each other through all this.
I'm a liberal as well. May I recommend a book to you? The Reckoning by Kara Dansky. It's written by a gender critical Democrat. I found it very informative.
I'm not so sure you are a liberal lolz. And I mean that with no disrespect. I was a "liberal" my entire life up until 3 years ago. The liberal ideology has gone so very far extreme and all of the positions/beliefs I have had all along are now considered "alt-right" to the current liberal cult. And this has been such a common theme over the last 10 years, but ESPECIALLY the last 5-- people are leaving the left in droves! And it's not because the people changed, but because the ideology has changed. Traditional liberals of the 90s and even early 2000s would've NEVER celebrated Hamas and championed a religious or cultural belief that oppresses women, lgb, black people, and any non-muslim religion. And yet, today, liberals will applaud these practices while attacking Christianity with a hatred and zeal rarely seen in the world. Traditional liberals absolutely fought to protect freedom of speech and thought! We never wanted people to feel or be restricted with what they can say or how they can think UNLESS it was a very direct and clear call for violence and danger. But, even with hateful speech liberals used to protect that! The old "I will vehemently oppose what you are saying, but I will die fighting to protect your right to say it!" was a mantra we deeply believed in. But today, the liberal left are the MOST controlling people! They want to censor and silence anyone and anything they disagree with or find offensive. And the irony is they are always calling other people "fascists", yet they display the classic core aspects of fascism themselves! Just a quick example of how wild it has become-- it is somehow perfectly acceptable to show YT videos of drag queens twerking and stripping around CHILDREN, but if you "misgender" someone you can actually be arrested and charged with hate crimes. It hasn't quite reached the same legal level in the US, but it is certainly happening in Canada and the UK (and I believe Australia and New Zealand as well?) Liberal leftists today do NOT believe in free speech and thought at all! They only believe THEIR speech and thought as valid. Or how about immigration? Classic liberals used to believe in orderly, regulated, and reasonable immigration. But today, leftists trust believe in no borders and will allow anyone anytime, and any amount--even though it is causing devastating problems for both the US citizens AND the immigrants. Classic liberals used to believe that America is a phenomenal country with its own fair share of problems, but took pride in the fact that we always try to deal with those problems and PROGRESS forward. We were very patriotic and proud to be American. The liberals today DESPISE America to its very core. They hate every single thing about our nation and cheer everytime a terrorist attack occurs or mass shootings happen. How about Race? Classic liberals used to believe that America had a dark past of slavery and oppression (just as every nation and culture in history has!) But, we were so proud and inspired by how we fought and died to end slavery and how we continued to work for better unity and less racism! In the 90s we had reached a pretty awesome state of harmony and love across racial divides. The liberals of today?? They have reinvented racism and spread this new form of segregation as "social justice" and have taught their children that whyte people are born evil and are all out to hunt and kill blk folks. Race has become a new obsession with current liberals and it has caused endless damage to society! How about abortion? Classic liberals used to believe that it should be legal, but it should be safe, regulated, and rare. The general position was first trimester only (unless it was a particular and serious situation) and that it should be taken seriously and abortion should be the last option considered. Now? Ha! Liberals today LOVE abortion! They constantly celebrate it and hold abortion showers and have "punch cards" to see if they can get the 5th one free or I've also seen many friend groups that will have "competitions" to see who can get the most in one year. They also believe in NO LIMIT for age of the baby, even legalizing partial birth abortions in some states! And it always astounds me how they attempt to use the "life of the mother" argument for needing legalized abortion!! We have ALWAYS had TFMR (termination for medical reasons) as the standard in modern medicine! If the pregnancy is not safe or the delivery will not be safe, they terminate the pregnancy. So, when they use this argument it drives me crazy lol. What about sexuality and gender? Classic liberals have always been in support! Our perspective was "live and let live". We didn't want people hated on or oppressed because of their sexuality. And the lgb community at the time really just wanted to blend in and have normal lives. Today the left has gone INSANE with queer theory, sexuality, gender theory, identities, AND they have pushed it as an agenda onto society and especially the youth, which is so damn creepy and has led to the trans explosion we are witnessing and the devastating surgical mutilations! I could keep going on and on..but hopefully you get my point lolz. You probably shouldn't call yourself a "progressive" haha!
Thank you for your story. I have been trying to warn for this for around 20 years. The whole gay scene is puking on me and others say I am not progressive. I tried explaining the whole long list on why this is dangerous and a bad idea but, barely anyone listening.
Yeah the tides are turning for sure. Most people do not support this extreme stuff anymore. But sadly, the loudest people and the media liberals are still very powerful!
@@TheSabatuer I want people to be happy, that said first. I'm not a hater. But, I think the operations and medications are too dangerous. And those parts being removed have an important role in keeping your body healthy. I know it has to be done with serious hormone disruptions or other ailments but, a healthy body is worth the world. People also can't have children anymore. And there are more issues but, these are my prime worries. They are worries.
To me, it's like telling a young person not to get married young or something. If someone has set their mind on it, it's unlikely you'll dissuade them. I wish that we had better dialogue around transitioning so that the general youth could get a more fair understanding of it not the polarized and politicized versions that are offered up, making that may guide the initial choice.
Thank you, Andrew, for featuring this wonderful guest. It was an enlightening podcast. Sam, I'm sorry to hear of the trauma you've experienced and I wish you all the best in your healing journey.
I have been watching Sam’s videos for a while. Thank you for bringing him onto your platform. I hope many are able to listen to this conversation with an open mind and heart.
Such a good, honest soul. Very clearly explanes what he went through growing up and what forced him to believe he did not want to be himself somehow. What a brave person giving this interview ❤. Thank you
Sam, wow, you are amazing. So vulnerable. Never forget that the hardest gift you can give anyone is your vulnerability. Your bravery and trust helps others. I'm a health care professional and will take your words into my consultations. I thank you 😊 so much.
I know a boy who changed sex after his nana died you need to leave the kids alone . especially the special needs kids . as far as im concerned its all about playing god and big pharma . these kids need therapy and love . Doctors need to leave these people alone .
This interview should be played to young kids who are being messed up in schools. They need to see the point of view before they sell them what is not real. San has lived the lie and the truth and set his foot down on the truth. I love this interview.
I am 16 and struggling with this. I've been depressed and isolated for years but would have never blamed it on my gender. It is only now in this confusion that I've started to consider this, it would be a greatest gift to be able to talk it all out with someone but I don't have access to any trusted individual, also I have severe anxiety. I am still afraid of the possibility of eventually mutilating myself but I can only hope I save myself before it's too late.
What about people like me who have had bottom surgery and are incredibly happy with it? The regret rate for gender affirming surgery is 1%. If you want to give kids the truth, you need to tell them that people like me are in the majority and people like Sam are in a tiny minority. I am all for detransitioners sharing their stories. But people give them far too much weight. Most of us don't regret transitioning.
@@jennoscura2381the rate of regret is closer to 41%.. You know why. When trans people "regret" it they off themselves because of the damage done. So it's not reported
This transition shit is so novel, and pushing it on children is so new we are about to see a wave of detransitions... Or massive suicides. Shame on you
wow I watch his channel all the time! the guy with the dogs, I love his quiet way of talking and the landcapes he is walking through. never expected to see him here. it will be very interesting
Praying for "Sam." So very sorry for the childhood trauma you experienced and the fact that no legitimate doctor saw it before your surgery. Your response showed such maturity and respect for the TRUTH. God loves you. Please get to know HIM. HE can bring you unbelievable peace and comfort. ❤
It seems like, in the end, your happiness comes from within, so you are better off just rocking what ever you are, as you are. That quote, “happiness is found in the acceptance of imperfection,” makes a lot of sense.
Bottom surgery has done wonders for my gender dysphoria. Keeping my body the way it was would have kept me miserable. Do you apply your line of thinking to gender affirming procedures cis people get? Do you ever criticize ciswomen for getting breast implants? Do you criticize balding cismen for getting a hair transplant? What about nose jobs or botox? What about tattoos and piercings? What about makeup?
@ I’m not criticizing. People are free to do any kind of surgery that they want. Surgery does not guarantee happiness, but sometimes it helps. Do what you need to do. But listening to his decades of struggle, and then achievement of peace in the end by just accepting himself as is, made me think of the story “happy as a hippo.” The moment the hippo accepts that he is a hippo, then he is at peace and truly happy. It seems like those who accept who they are and rock it, and then help others in need, are able to find a real purpose and contentment in life.
@Sizoeba I accept who I am. I am a trans woman. I could pretend that I am not trans, but that wouldn't solve anything. I am glad I accepted who I am decades ago. It would suck if I pretended that I am cis and still had unresolved dysphoria.
@@jennoscura2381you may be unable to Understand the comment. You’re miserable. Admit it. Or youde of not have changed your gender, in your imagination you are happy, only. It’s pretend.
Sam seems a wonderfully intelligent, caring and highly articulate person. Some great conversation points about reality and truth- and his reminder that we each have our own journey to experience.
I'm so glad to see Sam here! He's a great spokesman for men who were lured into this rabbit hole. I've been following him through his detransition. Please like, share and subscribe! Bravo~
What a lovely and genuine person. His openness and honesty in sharing his story is very touching. He’s also a generous soul to be out there inviting people to email him so that he can be of help to others. I really enjoyed this episode.
I will say one thing i really identify with Sam on is the uncomfortable feeling around men. I'm a gay guy, and I'm not a particularly feminine one, but I'm also not a macho dude bro type. But all my life i felt WAY more comfortable arouns girls. They naturally felt like my friend group. Being around the boys made me nervous cause i didn't fit in and i would get made fun of and bullied and put into these EXTREMELY high anxiety situations that felt like torture. Its gotten MUCH better in my adult years. But still, as a general feeling I'm not as comfortable with other men. I'm afraid to socialize with them and just be myself. But with women, i can just breathe and talk and do whatever and there's no fear. Now, the difference is that I never connected this unease to some idea of transness. I never wanted to BE a girl.
The saddest thing about this story is that there are a lot of people who would love Sam for Sam. The real gender equality people have been here since ever, quietly respecting people no matter what parts they have, for them, and not only wishing that what parts you have didn't matter, but trying to make it that way. Not screaming about it. Not shaming anyone. Just treating people equally one person at a time.
So glad to see Sam looking so well and speaking out on more platforms!! I followed him in 2020 on his channel and the process was amazing to watch. Painful, but very real and honest and articulate. A true transformation on every level.
Such an excellent interview. I wish I could show this interview to my trans son but he is that young person that Sam spoke about and believes he knows far more than I do in this life even though I, his mother, am almost forty years older than he, was a punk in the late seventies, had relationships with both sexes, spent a few years as a drug addict, and clawed my way back to reality before I had my kids but according to them I know nothing and don’t understand life at all.
So sad that Sam went through all of this trauma. Unfortunately more people like Sam will eventually come to the fore with their stories of why they transitioned because of trauma like Sam’s
Man, my heart goes out to this poor man. All the trauma and disconnected feelings as a kid. If only there was some one that could have spoke truth into his life. that he was ok as who he was. With that kind of assistance and love, he would have stood a better chance. Generally speaking, this is a problem that most boys lack. Male mentoring. It is crucial for young Boys to connect thru male bonding. Ideally, a boy gets this from his father. If they don’t get that as boys, it manifests in having bad relationships, substance abuse and overwhelming depression. You don’t have to transition to feel disassociation.
I grew up with such a great male role model with my father. He is a masculine man. Loves sports, weightlifting, and sweating it out with the bros. Also, he's extremely loving, shows his emotions, shares his love both in action, and in word, and does it all the time. He did it from the moment I was born, to this day in my late 40's, he STILL shares his love almost every time I talk to or see him. I think having that kind of role model, teaches a boy what it is to be a well-adjusted man. He wasn't feminine, but he also isn't scared of his feelings, or to show love. Some might say those are feminine qualities. I don't think they are. I think a man who is truly comfortable with himself, is able to do that with those he loves. I'm the same type of father to my kids. I don't think any of my kids have any doubt about how I feel about them (massive love) and while I'm not perfect and I'm sure have made mistakes, I've done my best, and they know that as well. Point being, I'm a very self-conscious person. I can only imagine feeling uncomfortable in my own body/gender. I think people should have to go through extensive therapy before they get to the point of transitioning with drugs/surgery, and only adults should be allowed to do it. In America, you can walk into a Planned Parenthood, say you're trans, meet with their in-house therapist (rubber stamp) one time, and walk out with HRT drugs. This is obviously insane, and makes zero sense, if you actually care about the people who you're treating.
Also, in general...the comparison you draw between "demon posession/exorcism" and gender ideology is spot on. I experienced an exorcism when I was 19 and my husband ended up transitioning around our divorce. The capture this had on my ex and the mindset throughout was incredibly similar to my own experience within a cult.
Ohh Sam, what an amazing interview. I'm just a 60 year old mother of 3 without an informed opinion but try to live and let live (doesn't always work, but I try), how eloquently you spoke about an issue that lots of us only know about through the media and much of the anger and controversy. thank you for your total honesty and for sharing your experience. I'm so pleased you have found a peace and happiness. lots of love and good luck going forwards. xxxx
Sam is such a courageous and empathic soul. He faces the truth and nuance of his experiences with great intellect and grace. I think he is a very powerful voice in all this I just hope the increased exposure isn't too overwhelming (although I've followed him on UA-cam for a while and whilst he is a solitary soul, I think he is ready for this next step of opening up to a greater audience). Great interview xx
Sam is a very honest man. I'm glad to see that he is healing after all that he's gone through. I'm glad to see him publicly speaking out against this horror of mutilation.
That was a good interview with a lovely guest. It truly is a lottery who we get for parents. If only every child could just be allowed to be him/herself, safe from violence.
Been following you for a long time and this was your best conversation, thank you Andrew. God bless you Sam!!!! So honest and completly agree an attack on Truth! Power to you Sam from a fellow child survivor of an abusive home and a women. You are a legend mate!🙏🏽🫡🤍
Much love to you Sam. I just wanted to reach in and hug you. You have been through a lot, to tell your story probably opened up a lot of wounds for you. Your bravery and honesty is gutwrenching. I wish you all the best, such a lovely man. ❤
Sam’s ability speak in such a balanced, articulate and brave way is testament to just how deeply he’s explored himself. The darkness he must have confronted underlies his strength of character and for that I applaud him.
Andrew darling you outdid yourself this time. Sam is charming, truthful, honest and very very down to earth. Thank you for the awesome interview. 👏👏👏❤❤❤
I was molested as a little girl and I was gang raped at 17. I began dressing like a male shortly after the gang rape and it felt comfortable and safe and maybe if it was in this time and I hadn’t been in the islands I may have explored other options but I found ways to deal with trauma and while I’m not fully healed, I think I’m dealing with it pretty well. I have children, I love them, I love my husband and it’s a choice I make every day to put myself first so I can be there for them.
Wow , having heard this lovely guy speak about his experience,, makes us all realise the importance of understanding the motive to transitioning!! Dismorphia ,, traumatic childhood !! His father demonised him !! So glad he’s ok and getting the love and support he deserves xx God bless ❤
Another i can only call knowledgeable interview by Andrew,,, literally teaching us every time,,, such a great interviewer too,,,, well done, loving learning about this subject🇮🇪
What an intelligent and insightful man. Listening to him was genuinely enlightening. I hope he has been able to recover from his traumatic childhood, and is living a much happier life today.
Brilliant conversation! These are the kinds of conversations that must be had today. Sam’s comment about how we are experiencing a war against the Truth especially resonated with me. Sam has a new subscriber! ❤
This is the only channel that has consistently informative content and equally enthralling interviews. I also appreciate that Andrew really allows his guests to speak their truth. It seems most journalists are borderline narcissists who feel they must interject their own experience/thoughts/opinions into the stories of those they interview.
Loved the willingness to be transparent about the experiences of your life. Wisdom has come to you at a high cost. Your choice to share your knowledge is priceless.
I love your interviews, Andrew. You have a fabulously genuine approach which is, at the same time, kind and truthful. What intelligent, articulate and very sweet men, you both are.
Sam, you are the best! So many moments of awareness shared here. Love your channel and your brave and utter willingness to discuss this difficult topic and share your perspective. Nuanced, intelligent and so informative. The vulnerability and incredible strength of your character will in turn be the courageous lead out of darker times.
It’s an honest, articulate and very informative interview, you should be very proud
@@scottburnside-allen9056 Thank you
Incredible interview mate. Thank you very much. Your honest and eloquent. A rare honest voice
Of extremely good use to others. Thank goodness for your honesty and sharing Sam. Xx a girl in Ireland. This will help untold numbers. Has to. So unusual not to hear fluff rubbish
Incredibly useful to others. You’re a light in the darkness xox
Lovely
I think people like this speaking about their negative experiences publicly are extraordinarily brave.
Agree these are the kind of trans people we need to help and promote
So true. Excellent point.
All the trauma and experience but still has innocence about him😊Thank you Andrew, keep up the great work you do🫶
But not bright, Sam had the options in modern medicine to;
A. Do nothing and pretend to be happy, possibly creating a fantasy world built on denial.
B. Go to a competent surgeon to perform a phalo to vaginally plastic or whatever it's called
C. Go to the alley way and ask a bum/doctor to chop off his penis and then spend the rest of his life making UA-cam videos complaining about his own short comings (pun intended) and blame others to live off of UA-cam video income.
He made the smart choice
He's vulnerable. I just want to protect him but he doesn't need that.
Sam's lovely. But, as far as I can tell, he struggles (understandably). So anyone who prays: pray for him. He's great. So raw and honest. 🥺❤️🩹
Sam’s channel showed up in my feed several months ago. Calm, rational and insightful objectivism.
I do not pity this guy, I think he is extraordinary, makes the best of his life and I have learnt from him.
I adore Sam, he’s such a gentle soul. And always stresses that we must speak TRUTH.
Little D energy.
Me too! Love him.
They way Sam talks about the situation is the meaning of courage.
Thank you Sam.
Sam is special, and I pray that he continues speaking the truth. It's refreshing and essential especially today. He's so well spoken. He is a light in this time of darkness.
Yes.
This is one of the clearest interviews that I have heard. I found Sam's points easy to understand and could easily follow the conversation.
Same 👍
Same here. Being dyslexic learning and understanding what I hear has always been a significant battle.
I’ve been following Sam here on UA-cam for a while. Hearing him here, so clear, so unequivocal, so confident, makes me happy for him. He’s struggled long and hard and I can hear a difference in him in this interview that feels very positive. Well done, Sam!
Thank you Andrew and Sam for bringing this story to us
Yes, thankyou.
This guy is so intelligent,
well-spoken and amazing...he should write a book!
Little ones need so much love😮❤
If he had a loving safe childhood he would have not suffered all this difficulty.😲
And his desire for female love would have been with a wife who really appreciated what a beautiful person he is !!
This is just so sad. I cry for the little boy inside this man and all this pain. I hope he finds healing.
Phew, wait till you meet all the trans people, there are even more of those than detransiotioners
yea, I've watched a few videos on his channel ... he's super well-spoken
"I think people try to make sense of themselves by referensing cultural narratives." This is such an important point from Sam. We all do this to some extent. Sam is an amazing honest and humble human being. I highly recommend his channel.
Sam is an incredible person!! I’ve been following his channel for more than a year. He’s so special and has much wisdom to impart.
Same and I agree. So glad I came upon his channel.
Right?? He's such an enjoyable chap to listen to! I'd enjoy hanging out with him.
A really great interview Andrew. Sam is a terrific guy, so thoughtful and articulate. I sincerely hope he has a happy life going forward.
Your guest is extraordinary- so real, honest, intelligent, empathetic and open. Thank you and wishing you both the best luck for 2025
Not intelligent, unless you consider having no life skills to get legitimate employment so he goes to a back alley bum "doctor" to cut off his penis and spend the rest of his life complaining about it and blaming others for his short coming by spending all day making UA-cam videos about it to get income off of views
Yes sooo profound! Im sharing this with everyone!!!❤
The people who promote this stuff should be called out❤❤😮
@@RayColeman-l8x you go to a back alley "doctor" you get what you pay for. These desperate UA-cam view paycheck grifters are just desperate for content. People aren't lining up desperately to have their organs removed in real life
This is crazy. The fact that media never talks about what transition is. Physically. What it involves.
Thank you, Sam, for your complete honesty and for sharing your abundant, hard-earned wisdom. Wishing you well.
Awesome interview...but how could it not be with your beautiful, gentle nature combined with your intellectual precision for pinpoint descriptions!!👏😊🩷
You made 2 absolutely GOLD comments " the sacredness of being male or female" & "It's an attack on Truth"... totally...
Tbf it's not being eclipsed from ones "gender identity" which is ephemeral but from ones actual sexed reality. Otherwise I concur with your comment.
You have no way of knowing if he is honest.
Yes, a predatory surgical pipeline. Using vulnerable abuse victims and the mentally disturbed as experiments is actually criminal: may justice be swift for the corporate capture class
@@felixmidas2020 You have no way of knowing if anyone is honest. What's the purpose of this word then?
Like all of western medicine: like rearranging the deck chairs on the titantic!
Yes, we push at those boundaries from time to time to correct them, but to do away with them all (which is a tenet of queer/trans ideology) can only destroy it(and us)
Wise words. ❤

Andrew - just found your Chanel around election time (here in the USA) - your content is fantastic!
election was over two months ago, hardly "election time"
I feel so bad for Sam, he has been failed by so many people and society itself, but he’s still so brave to talk about something so personal to help others.
No!Do not feel sorry for him!Respect him, be surprised at his lack of bitterness and how much he has grown as a person!
Liberal who moved from the west to the Midwest in the USA and I just found your content after getting my community health worker certification….wow. I was alone thinking I would lose my job agreeing with content like this. I hope we can help each other through all this.
Well I hope this past election gave you some hope. I'm also a midwesterner and most of us feel the way you do. The vast majority of us.
I'm a liberal as well. May I recommend a book to you? The Reckoning by Kara Dansky. It's written by a gender critical Democrat. I found it very informative.
Liberals promote this and try to create laws against anyone trying to stop it. Rethink what so called Liberals have morphed into.
Ps- I work in higher education, so I'm COMPLETELY alone in my beliefs lolz and I keep them to myself so I don't get fired.
This has been one of your best interviews yet. It was such an interesting conversation. Thank you, sam, for being so open with us. Very brave of you ❤
Thank you for your story. I have been trying to warn for this for around 20 years. The whole gay scene is puking on me and others say I am not progressive. I tried explaining the whole long list on why this is dangerous and a bad idea but, barely anyone listening.
Right there with ya dude!!!
Yeah the tides are turning for sure. Most people do not support this extreme stuff anymore. But sadly, the loudest people and the media liberals are still very powerful!
Id love to hear your explanation if you are willing. Can you also elaborate on you the reactions you recieved?
Thank you for this Andrew. Sam's honesty is very moving.
OMG, I am so delighted to see you talking to Sam! I've been following him for a few years, and he's such a genuine, insightful and beautiful soul 💚🕊
Thank you for allowing yourself to be interviewed 🙏🙏🙏 Real Courageous ✊✊✊
Sam seems such a nice bloke. I think my soul is crying
Total agree
My exact reaction!

Worded so well! Spot on
Emotional neglect in childhood is the most severe and cruel form of abuse.
I know.
God bless and protect you!💕💕💕
The most important thing is, doesn't matter whether your male or female. It's about being happy in your own body ❤️
You should be telling young women to knock off all this feminism because that is what led you to all that behavior and in turn destroyed your son
you have to try more tho. it's your duty as a parent. learn to communicate in a more rational and less emotional way perhaps?
You've committed crimes and you think transgender people are in the wrong. Maybe you should be in jail.
we all think that till its too late
You can't send it to him? 😢
"There is a reality, there is a truth" who would have thought that would be so profound? Well done.
Sam- your pure heart energy radiates palpably. I love that you accept your experience and are helping others- deep respect
That was a good interview with a lovely guest. It truly is a lottery who we get for parents. If only every child could just be allowed to be him/herself, safe from violence.
Beautifully honest and sincere conversation. Thanks for selflessly speaking up, Sam. Best wishes for your future. X
Wow! This guy is amazing!! An attack on truth! He’s therapeutic to listen to! Thank you for having him on your show!
What a lovely, insightful person you are. Thank you Sam. You are so wise and warm.
Sam’s ability speak in such a balanced, articulate and brave way is testament to just how deeply he’s explored himself. The darkness he must have confronted underlies his strength of character and for that I applaud him.
Very eloquent speaker
Andrew darling you outdid yourself this time. Sam is charming, truthful, honest and very very down to earth.
Thank you for the awesome interview. 👏👏👏❤❤❤
Brilliant conversation! Thank you both
I was molested as a little girl and I was gang raped at 17.
Thx Andrew, this is such a difficult topic and Sam is incredibly brave!! Much love to everyone going through this trauma ❤❤
This is what has been happening for decades now. I am glad that you did this interview. I hope others, from all over, listen to this. ❤️
Outstanding. Painful and beautiful clarity. Thank you both 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thank you for your precious story, Sam. I wish for you every good thing, kindness and blessing.
What an intelligent and insightful man. Listening to him was genuinely enlightening. I hope he has been able to recover from his traumatic childhood, and is living a much happier life today.
Wow, what an amazing interview. Sam, your honesty, compassion and wisdom is a thing of beauty. Every good wish to you.
Such a lovely friendly honest person.
I love Sam so much. He is absolutely inspirational in how he is dealing with his trauma and being human.
Brilliant conversation! These are the kinds of conversations that must be had today. Sam’s comment about how we are experiencing a war against the Truth especially resonated with me. Sam has a new subscriber! ❤
I love that Sam is on here…such a lovely person who I enjoy watching on his youtube channel.x
I already follow Sams UA-cam channel and i can't wait to watch this interview. Thank you both! 🙏🏻🫶🏻🙌🏻
What a truly lovely person he is. I could listen to him for days.
This is the only channel that has consistently informative content and equally enthralling interviews. I also appreciate that Andrew really allows his guests to speak their truth. It seems most journalists are borderline narcissists who feel they must interject their own experience/thoughts/opinions into the stories of those they interview.
been following Sam for a while; this is going to be exciting!
Loved the willingness to be transparent about the experiences of your life. Wisdom has come to you at a high cost. Your choice to share your knowledge is priceless.
I could listen to Sam speak all day. Thank you for having him on the show.
This was so informative and helpful and interesting to understand the thought processes of someone who is battling gender confusion.
If only more beings could be like Sam. I watch his channel and consider him a modern-day philosopher delving into the big questions.
