Of all the carts released, my favorite ones are the Data East and Technos Collections. Those see the most play from me. As for the most disappointing carts thus far: Piko Collection 2, Atari Lynx 1&2, Indie Heroes 1, Intellivision 2, and Worms. The rest of the cart selection all ranges from Decent to Great, so Good on Evercade.
I bought Jaleco 1 mainly for Astyanax loved that game on NES great story and sprite work but I never hear many people talk about it. Its well worth a try
@@PKInTheUniverse Funny story when I was a child at school the kids were trading selling Nes/Famicom games and when someone showed me a list I half glanced saw it and said “ill buy that one” pointing to what I assumed was Asterix apparently I was dumb those days but it turned out for the best it had large sprites and Cuts Scenes opeing, mid game and ending which made me want to learn more about this boy who was summoned into a fantasy world with his new friend Cutey the Fairy and oh boy what a drama. My brother and I must have played it through several times and when i managed to get an Evercade (which living in Africa is Hard believe me😄) I didn’t think twice and got myself a copy.
Hi PK, nice work for the video! It was cool to hear a general flow of thoughts about the cartridges. I really liked how you grouped your carts by category, such as the dual carts, Atari, Namco, and so on. I will say that I think I will buy Piko 2 partly because of you. I just picked up Piko 1 for its many games, and will probably get Piko 3 for Radikal Bikers, Stanley, Wukong, Zero Tolerance, and 40 Winks. However, I have been on the fence for Piko 2. The main reason I want it is for the racing games since my kids like that genre. If I get it next year, hopefully it will surprise me in some of the other titles I enjoy. Beyond saying that, the 2nd reason I wanted to reply is because of your comment about the excellent cover for Piko Arcade 1. I kid you not, that is a big reason why I am interested in that release. I was really happen that someone other than me shared the same thought that I've had for months. I think the artwork is great, but I will likely resist buying it. I will add this too. I currently have 8 Evercade carts. I have almost all the main ones I want. Of the "B" tier carts that interest me, they include Jaleco 1, Piko 3, Megacat 1, Home Computer Heroes 1, and Piko 2. I'll be looking forward to your reviews next year! I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
If it hadn't been for the Arcade and Home Computer Carts, I'm pretty sure I'd have lost interest in Evercade by now. The final nail in the coffin for me was the December Firmware Update that bricked my Gaelco Arcade 2 cart and caused me problems with a couple of other carts. Blaze did replace my broken cart for free but I've totally lost confidence in Blaze and would be constantly worried that they're going to damage my carts every time they re-write data to them. So, my Evercade Collection ends at no.30 Console carts, no.10 Arcade carts and no.3 Home Computer carts. It's a pity but all good things and all that ... Keep up the awesome work PK!
Thanks man! Yeah, I don’t blame you. Sometimes Blaze should leave well enough alone. If a game isn’t perfect and it still playable , oh well let it be. I’ve heard stories about people taking the cartridge out too soon when it’s getting updated and having a game brick . I’m not saying at all, but that’s what you’ve done. It’s awesome that blaze will at least replace these things, but how many times are they gonna replace stuff? It’s very frustrating.
@@PKInTheUniverse There's a known problem with that December Firmware Update and the way they updated Thunder Hoop 2 on the cart. Sometimes feels like we've been Blaze's unofficial Beta Testers.
I never buy any games until I see footage from them to see what I would like so my collection of Everade carts consist of10 carts but I love them all. Didn't bother with the ones I would never play.
Sometimes the gameplay footage entices me enough to take a gamble. Sometimes it pays off sometimes it doesn’t. Yeah it’s so important to collect what you know you’re gonna play.
Goodboy galaxy is obviously the better game. But give witch n wiz a try when you have time its really good. I liked it a lot more than i thought i would.
I might get this when I get an evercade and it's more for witch n wiz. If it's as addictive as "cattrap" on the gameboy then it's definitely worth a play.

@jayme69 now that I think about it I’ve had my Evercade VS unplugged since December. Maybe I won’t plug it back in until there’s a new update.

I am not a fan of Double Dragon 2 either. The first one is the only good one in my opinion, and Battletoads & Double Dragon.

I enjoyed playing battletoads double dragon it's my favorite one.
Impossible Mission and Jumpman on the C-64 and Gateway to Apshai but I had those games when I was a kid. I get why it’s not for you.
Yeah , they are fine for what they are . I definitely get the feeling I had to be there to fully appreciate them .
