One of the best ways to become a really good carpenter is to just go and make stuff. Great video, thumbs up.
Difference between you and other UA-camrs is your not lazy. You have no problem moving the camera 65 thousand times for the viewers and you also take pride in the videos you make. Keep up the good work my friend ....Oh, I miss my Lil dog ?
glenn goodale Hopefully she’ll make an appearance soon. Thanks as always!
What's the dogs name and what breed is it?
Great job, I really think reusing wood and materials is something we all should do to help maintain our ecosystems. Plus, it's beautiful !
Thanks for taking the time to show off the fruits of your labor.
Beautiful. My dad used reclaimed hardwood floors in our home. This s great. The cat is a new visitor.
Your baby’s room is awesome. I’m sure she will appreciate all your hard work.
Gerald Roth Hope so!
Looks awesome!
Thanks for another fine video. I understand how much more time it adds to a job to film it. Believe it or not I had a UA-cam channel at one time and quit doing it because it just took too much time. So I for one appreciate the videos you do upload because I know how much extra work they are.
Thanks Darrel, good to hear from you.
Wow what a great job
Congrats on the baby .. great vid
Great job! Trying to video a job makes it almost twice as hard mentally and physically ! Thanks for taking the time!
1rustytree Sometimes more! But it’s worth it. Thanks!
The remodel looks awesome I love all the pine!
Jack Stanley Thanks, Jack!
Great video. A lot of work but well worth it from the results. You are a true craftsman and carpenter.
That pine really looks good on your floors and walls, I really do like it, you done a wonderful job.
Looks great. Glad you take an approach that uses reclaimed where you can and not afraid of multiple species. I've said for yrs that combining different species gives a great look other than straight forward one species. It all has it's place and personal touch. STAY SAFE
MrRDFORD Thank you!
Wow my dad was a carpenter where my love of wood comes from ... beautiful X
Very nice! Shows lots of love in your work!
Nice job congratulations on a job well done and of course a new baby!! God Bless
Very nice work
Very nice!! Makes it all worth the effort!!
Looks amazing. I especially liked the hallway work. I love contrast. I'm trying to imagine how to furnish it.
An Evolving Ape We are putting white furniture in it. Looks good so far.
@@falllineridge Awesome.
Very good job indeed!
nicely done that is a good looking project.
As a woman, I love all the wood! Could you tell me were those brad nails you face nailed with? Size of nails? Thickness of boards? Simply beautiful!
Beautiful job, love the way all that wood looks
Very beautiful wood and building. Peace and Good Fortune to you and your family! All the best!
Love your projects and channel! Just curious as to why you were “reclaiming” the wood from that wall? It looked pretty newly constructed...
Incredible work, looks great
The baby's room looks really nice...... You done a good job.... I love polyurethane on wood ......it looks really nice....,..... jonjon...JJ...
Looks Great, a nice warm honey glow.
Nice turnout on that room . great job
Floors look great! Any problems with wood movement since install? Considering doing this for my shop.
Very nice, well done!
Looks great Wes, and I love the blue stain too! We have a lot of it around here. Great use of reclaimed wood, awesome.
Great Plains Craftsman Thanks, Tim! I’m kinda hiding the blue stuff in the closet. People really seem to like it but it doesn’t do much for me.
Nice work and a beautiful job how in the world could
someone give you a thumps down .
Thanks!
Looks great! Most beautiful! Do have a question, Did you use a moisture barrier under the pine? If not does it need it? I've used it under other wood floors and I've got some heart pine that I milled and wanted to do the same. Thanks Keith
I really like your work!!!
Jennings Moore Thank you!
Bravo!! Good job.
Beautiful work! Really turned out great. Once again watching your videos makes me feel lazy and unproductive :) Awesome video work and story telling with the different camera angles. Keep us updated on the baby! Really happy for you both.
Thank you, Slade!
Beautiful!!!
Looking good👍👍👍👍👍
Nice job!
I have a similar project, but with much older pine flooring from an old barn. What kind of fasteners are you using?
Beautiful work! Well done my friend! So exciting about the new baby. We have three and they are a blessing man! We are so excited for you. Take care and dont worry about too much UA-cam. You have a lot going on. Any idea on baby names?
Thanks Mike! This is our second. His name is Levi.
Very good mam!
Even after vacuum I recommend "mopping" with microfiber cloth to get the really fine dust up.
I was floored by this video! Ok Ok enough with the bad jokes. Thanks 4 taking time 2 make this vid now get back to work that baby could be here any minute.
Damon Reuning Ha! Thanks.

the house of wood ...how many trees gave there life .it looks really good
How to you keep it from coming up? My bf does flooring and he says this will move without groves.
Your doing great Brother I remember when you had 1000 subscribers
Thank you, Brad!
good job
Wow! That "wood" make a great acoustic guitar room like at Guitar Center.
Nice job ... looks awesome ! :-)
Wow! That's very nice! Talk about a personal touch. Now that your new baby is here you should be able to do three or four videos a week? ;-P Nice work, Wes!
Northwest Sawyer Thanks, Jason! I’m sure the videos will really be rolling now 🤪
Okay, good! Just make sure the dirty diaper is out of the shot and you don’t step on a binky 😬
Awesome
Should i polyurethane my reclaimed wood floors
What did you use to fill the hole?
Hey Hey Epoxy.
Nice work and a beautiful job i only hope by not going tounge and groove on the floor you dont get squeaking to develop with the swelling and contracting of the wood.
Ken Jett This house has squeaked and cracked my whole life, it’s a tradition!
@@falllineridge lol yeah the first home i bought was like that of course it was over 100 years old we all squeak at that age. Fun aside i did alot of remodeling work on that home as well. I was 20 years old and just turned dad for first time. Sure was alot of years ago now but alot of good memories.
Are you going to Stane the trim dark
michael laroche No, it’s all staying how it is.
I could not get my wife in that house too much wood grain. Drive her crazy. Each to there own I guess.
Just use hardwood floor adhesive.
Dang that looks like you live in a cedar chest!!!
When I saw you sweeping up all of the wood flour, I thought, "Why doesn't he just vacuum it up?" Then I saw you vacuuming and paying special attention to the knot holes, I thought, "Oh! He didn't want to dispose of the wood flour, he's going to use it in the epoxy that he uses to fill those knot holes. And then you… just didn't. How's come?
I would love to be able to spend the time to harvest and dry and mill my own hardwood flooring, complete with tongue-in-groove, but I just won't have the time, so I'll likely go with straight up store-bought, but if I did, I would bank on using a sprayer to lay down a layer of polyurethane, not a brush. What's your opinion of spray poly versus your brush method?
Cathy Garrett I wanted the knots to be visible...so I opted to just fill in the holes as best I could with epoxy to keep dirt out. I’ve never sprayed it on so I can’t comment on that method.
hummmmm....what if you bought new....would not that be less expensive?
No tongue and groove? Enjoy boards lifting when the seasons change. Did you seal the ends around that vent? If not, you will get mold and it will turn black in that area when you run the A/C during humid days. And for the love of God....burn those shorts you wore at the end of the video.

I didn't see any paw prints in the finish, either.
Not knocking your skills but that is WAY too much wood for my taste. floors yes, walls, no. But that's me.
I did it with the Wood Prix plans.
Woodglut scripts contain most of the woodworking plans you can find.
This time I will use Woodglut plans for this.
I think you need to take some time and go to woodprix website to learn how to make it.
There are many similar projects in Woodglut's plans.
