With the recent news of Nurmagomedov vs Sandhagen, MMA fans are outraged and for good reason - Dagestani fighters get so much privilege! In this video i highlight some big examples of Dagestani fighters getting pushed by the UFC, and why the UFC do it. - Спорт
-Erceg #10 just fought for the belt
-O'Malley #13 fought #1 Yan
-Unranked Pereira fought #4 Strickland
-JDM #12 fought #4 Burns
-Hooker was #14 when he fought #5 Barboza
-Tuivasa #11 fought #3 Lewis
-Hooker #15 fought #6 Al
We never saw you people crying about these plus Cory wanted this fight and if he wins he'll fight for the belt after Merab.
they all fought ranked fighters before this, umar didnt. and most of these other opponents were booked, umar couldve fought Rob font, phillips, or literally any ranked opponent that isnt top 5
@@ryderpanistic4969 most of them are booked or injured
@@ryderpanistic4969 and O’Malley didn’t fight a ranked opponent his fight with Pedro was a no contest

Erceg got a KO. Umar got dropped by someone making his Debut lol.
Khabib had to win 9 in a row before a title shot. Islam 10. Ankalaev hasn’t lost in 12 fights and waiting for his first TS.
Meanwhile, Dustin getting a TS after a 1 win streak, Chandler got 1 UFC win and then a TS, Colby got a TS with a 1 win streak.

Nobody complained when Periera got thrown in a title eliminator against Strickland even tho he had 0 ranked wins.
O'Malley didn't have a single ranked win when he was thrown in a title eliminator either. Dana robbed Romero and Mousasi of a title shot by having Bisping sit out for an entire year waiting for GSP. GSP hadn't even fought a single contender. And who else was Oliviera supposed to fight if not Islam?
People try to make this an ethnic thing but it's a money thing. If Dana sees you as a draw you'll get preferential treatment. Conor got it, Periera got it, Colby got it, Jones gets it
Why doesn’t jones deserve it? After a long title reign and break to bulk I think it’s fair he gets title fight at Hw
@@ssglbc1875 because he's ducking the interim champion for a retirement party fight while pretending that it's a fight everyone wants.
@@rofoltofol that was after he got the belt. Before that jones had 16 title wins(15 if you count Reyes as loss which I do) and the only reason he didn’t move up to HW for champ champ earlier in his career was because he wanted to cement his legacy at LHW getting title defenses
@ssglbc1875 deserving, fairness, it doesn't matter. Stipe's getting a title shot before Tom. Why? Because he's seen as a bigger draw. That's all that matters. No ufc fan actually cares about merit or fairness
Alex Periera: Doesn’t fight wrestlers and got 2 free title shots (MW and LHW)
Erceg: free title shot as the number #10 even though the Dagestani Mokaev who’s ranked higher was more deserving.
BSD: #12 12 or so and fought #3 Dustin
O’Malley: ranked number 11 or 12 and fight Petr Yan for #1 spot
Chandler: Titleshot after beating Hooker
Colby: don’t have to say anything
Izzy: Probably will get the next shot, undeserved.
Strickland: Got a title shot over beating Abus
Volk: A second free DOUBLE champ title shot
Dustin: Scheduled for an undeserved title shot against a dominant champ Islam, in the US btw which is home field advantage for Dustin.
Chito: Undeserved.
But all y’all call out are the Dagestanis 😂😂
And the list goes on and on but because they are not Dagestanis, it don’t matter 😂😂
Free title shots? he had to beat 2 top 5 opponents to get his shots.
@@umarjongi3590 Alex? Strickland wasn’t even top 5 and Alex wasn’t ranked
@@umarjongi3590 Many got free title shot, who specifically are you talking about from the list?
Mokesv isn’t deserving bud last performance wasn’t great when compared to Islam or umar fights.
Chandler and periera fast tracked no denying but they had history in strike force in glory and some stardom which is different than being new to the top levels of fighting. Colby your spot on. Izzy doesn’t deserve it but oh well. He’s still one of the best other than Strickland he only lost too LHWs and has 8 title wins. Strickland underserved but it was short notice fight plus Strickland has never truly lost to anyone at Mw other than periera because his Jared and DDP losses are SDs. Volk? How can you a argue Volk didn’t deserve the second shot? For one it was short notice and after giving Islam his hardest fight an actual completive fight then move back down defend the belt again then take up the fight short notice. Dustin? True doesn’t really deserve it but no other contender rn available people like to hate on Islam for “inactivity and only defend against FWs” arman needs to recover Justin and Oliveira coming off losses and list goes on so Dustin is the only one really deserves it and can fight. Chito? Yeah you know ufc trying too make Suga look good
Sean o mally got a number 1 contender match while being ranked 13, Peirera got top 5 opponent with two unranked wins, and if islam is privilaged than sean stickland is even more privilaged for getting the title shot for beating abus. its all about the timing and knowing when to fight at the right opportunity.
perreira was a legend at the kickboxing and have a big rival

Islam was ducked by pretty much the whole division, and this “being rushed” argument can be the case for so many non Dagestanis, Strickland got title shot for beating Abus, Topuria’s best win before a title shot was Emmet he didn’t fight Rodriguez or Ortega, Colby doesn’t need introduction, Pereira doesn’t need introduction as well, I’m sorry but this video is just nitpicking
Strickland got the title shot because DDP declined the quick turn around after beating Whittaker and the UFC needed a main event for Australia. Volk cleared out 145 and legit had nobody to fight not named Ilia. Colby is at least a big name that can sell PPVs but yes that was gifted asf. Pereira got fast tracked bc he’s literally one of the most exciting fighters with a championship track record who came into the ufc at like 33 years old with 2 wins over the champion at the time who had also cleared out his division. Dariush called for the Islam fight and although he got injured for the first one literally fought on the same card Islam got his gifted title shot on so i’m not sure why they couldn’t make that fight….

Ali Abdelaziz is very good at negotiating for his fighters to get opportunities they wouldn't otherwise deserve yet. He manages all these fighters. Plus, the UFC is trying to capitalize on the Muslim audience which has brought in massive amounts of money and new revenue opportunities.
They are not just taking over the UFC, it's happening in Bellator as well. They tried the same approach with Ireland, but the talent coming from Ireland is far and fewer in between, so it's not generating the same amount of interest.

Dana white said no one in top 15 want to fight umar. Its hard to find opponents for him. So applause for cory for taking the fight
Rankings are arbitrary. They are an estimation of how good fighters are in relation to one another. If an unranked fighter is able to beat the champion, then he should become the champion.
Remember, there were almost no dagestanis years ago, they were actually being stopped from entering the ufc because of their dominance, the ufc gave them a platform when they felt it was most beneficial financial wise.

the fact that umar is even ranked without a single ranked win is the biggest wtf of this entire thing
Simply because they are special, which the world has never seen before..

It is obvious Dana White tried really hard to handle the belts to Khamzat Chimaev and Magomed Ankalaev like he did Islam Makhachev before, but those guys blew it. Now he tries to fast track Umar Nurmagomedov to a title
Dana actually mention that nobody want to fight umar so, top fighter ducking him is not far fetched
You are overlooking the overall situation here.
O'Malley vs Merab should be next, who should Sandhagen and P.Yan (No 2 and 3 ) fight?(the rankings should be involved if it comes to determine the next challengers for the Top )
-Both allready fought each other
-Cejudo,Vera,Font,Song are coming off losses they shouldn't get a Top 5 fight next
-Aldo just came back and Sandhagen vs Umar was planned before
The only 2 guys(within the Top 10) which making sense to fight Yan or Sandhagen are Umar and Figuereido, you can make an argument Figuereido should fight the No 2 Sandhagen and Umar the No 3 Yan but if Umar gets the No 2 or the 3 shouldn't be an big issue here because it makes absolutley sense he gets one of those two next.
Buckley and ruziboev Is a good example. Nassourdine imavov had to fight his way up the ranking though and is why he’s so good
Actual privilege is Colby getting 3 title shots with the last 2 coming after winning only 1 fight each against Woodley on a 2 loss streak and Lawler on a 2 loss streak. And sitting out 12 to 21 months after each fight. Dagestan fighters go on huge win streaks or unbeaten streaks and are usually ducked before their name is well-established.
The reason they not giving random American fighters(ex:bo nickal) ranked fighter after their first couple fights is because they’re not up to the challenge and they wanna build them, they consider it bullying but for group of fighters you mentioned you call it privilege for a reason.

I usually like your videos but this one is not it. The hate Dagestanis get especially for fights that are called for by the OPPONENT is ridiculous. Cory wanted this and kept asking for it even after the initial one fell through
I get your point with Gaziev and Abus, but didn't the UFC give a #1 contender fight to o'malley after beating a bunch of cans and washed fighters?
O'malley had to put on a bunch of exciting impressive performances before getting a shot to make it into the top rankings. Umar's had like 3 forgettable UFC fights, Umar has twice as many canceled fights as actual UFC fights. Umar is skilled but he has popped for PED's as well as Islam and other people with-in that group have a history of testing positive for insane very rare performance enhancing substances. I don't know why we never hear anyone saying anything about any of this..
What are you supposed to do when ranked fighters are too scared to fight up and coming Dagestani fighters? The Dagestani fighters usually have to go on longgg win streaks to get a title shot because other fighters refuse to fight them. You're so wrong on this take
Islam: fought complete tomato cans in his pre-UFC career, fought complete tomato cans before fighting BOBBY GREEN fo a title shot.
Umar: has fought absolutely nobody and is a pullout merchant in the division.
Dagis are privileged because of Khabib's starpower.
Indian lmao.
@@Huzuh. racist and pathetic lmao
Bro put ankalaev in the thumbnail smh
Shamiel the Blob Gaziev GOAT run starts now
They also rarely fight each other.
Cause of saudia Arabia money. It’s killing all sports not just mma. Look at soccer/football.
Khabib fought al laquinta for the belt. Never forget.
Oh, God! You too!
I'm not a fan of them but I don't think they are privileged. And the answer to why they fight on home soil so often - UFC needs them on these Middle-Eastern cards, there are still not that many fighters from this area in the UFC. It's like asking why Brits are fighting in England or Canadians in Canada so often.
Sandhagen wanted this fight so bad
mma UA-camrs yaping for absolutely nothing :
I know the reasons people like them for , but you gotta admit the glazing is crazy NOONE of the dagestanis will ever be as good as Khabib (except Islam) so why push their cards so hard when they don't deserve it
Also ppl be hating on other fighters like oMalley etc getting privileged
Bro they sell fights, ufc after all is just a business
And other fighters can also try to stand out and be more favoured and hence get the privilege
But just boosting them based off their nationality is crazy
Ps the so called privileged fighters are so far apart from each other in their personality that they are not getting privilege because of some common thread like oMalley, Alex P, Colby cov, Izzy(before), Connor
They all are very distinctive
I don't get ur point about Alex getting called out as champion??? Everyone calls out champions. U got unranked people coming to the UFC calling out champions.
they most of the time win
It’s cuz of the casual Muslim fans who can’t stop d riding khabib and their fighters. Umar don’t deserve Cory and Cory is sacrificing his title shot for this worthless fight
Who is Umar supposed to fight when all the ranked Bantamweights refuse to fight him. Props to Cory for wanting to challenge himself and give an up and comer a shot.
