What if every UFC champion was to fight the champion in the weight class above them? I predicted a theoretical fight between every champion from Pantoja to Jones against the champion above them to see how they fare. - Спорт

@@kerrlonjordan6816 that’s the closest one but Leon has fought 3 wrestlers in a row and held his own and more then likely he will be fighting 2 more grapplers in his next defenses. I think if Leon is champion Islam will struggle a lot plus Leon is much larger than people realize.
@@KoltSearcy The difference is that Leon faced good wrestlers, not grapplers. Yeah sure Colby and Usman are good wrestlers and are great at takedowns but that's as far as their grappling goes.
Meanwhile Islam has finished 5 of his last 7 fights by either submission or ground strikes. And he submitted Oliveira, not to mention his striking is good enough to at least be competitive with Leon.

Ilia Vs Islam would be a super close fight. Ilia is a top level grappler with huge power on the feat. I’d give the edge to Islam but it would be razor close like the Volk fight

Volk legit out struck max holloway 3 times. Volks striking is arguably the same if not better than O’Malley. O’Malley does not have the tools to beat topuria especially since topuria has ground threat making his striking better than what anticipated. Sean O’Malley hates body shots and we know topuria is really good at those.

@@koalawithchaingun53 We’ve seen Leon face wrestlers before in Colby and Usman, and hes a talented striker and good at controlling the distance and as talented as Islam is he would be smaller and wouldnt be much brand new of a challenge to Leon. Definitely could see Leon piecing up Dricus on the feet and being able to defend almost all takedowns, rather then a more one dimensional fighter like Strickland who was only able to outbox him in most rounds.
