Tenerife International Film Music Festival.
THE SPIELBERG - WILLIAMS CONNECTION.
The Tenerife Symphony Orchestra (OST) and Tenerife Film Choir performed in 2010 an extraordinary concert which included the greatests masterpieces written by John Williams along his collaboration with Steven Spielberg. This concert took place at the 4th edition of FIMUCITÉ, was officially blessed by the maestro and conducted by film music composer and FIMUCITÉ´S director, Diego Navarro. It has been one of the most memorable concerts ever performed in 10 years of festival history. To celebrate our tenth edition, which will be held from September 23rd till October 1st, FIMUCITÉ is uploading the whole concert in our official UA-cam Channel, as a treat to our fans and friends.
The artist Carlos Miranda, specially created these works of art for the concert, to be screened during the performance.

Navarro and that orchestra is one of the rare to REALLY take the film music scores seriously and show them true devotion in their interpretation.

Every piece of music composed by John Williams is a priceless gift to the orchestra and the conductor. Just masterful. What a fabulous orchestra and conductor, I love his performance of "Flight to Neverland" from this same concert. So much joy in his conducting, bravo Diego!

this is some quality production! congratulations to everyone involved, from the performers, Navarro and all the people behind the curtain! this and the "Alien: A Biomechanical Symphony" from 2009 are truly works of art that must be preserved, on par and sometimes better than the original theatrical releases.

Ist nicht die Originalaufnahme und ein anderes Orchester, aber ziemlich nah dran am Original.

Can we talk about how @ 1:00 the orchestra begins to open up, very nice. At 2:20 when most orchestras eff it up by blowing too hard, the restraint shown is epic and the at 2:35 when the orchestra does blow it out, they exercises precision in all sections. There isn't a string or trumpet that is out of place, key, or pitch. The score calls for it to be sweeping and...well, it is. 5 out 5 for me, and I never given 5/5 on orchestra performances.
I got the chills that build up was so good.

So wonderfully done..had hoped the choire was in on the maintitle.But I guess they had enough on theyr table.. ayways very very well done. Par with the original in sound,tempo and style.hands down and two tumbs up for this superb rendition of one of John Williams best soundtrack scores.

The only thing I don't like about this version is he didn't use the choir. There's a choral part of this song and it just adds to it so well.

Orchestral music is so emotionally involved. The violins can jerk a tear from just about anybody when done right. The whole ensemble of instruments playing together can spur emotions from down deep. Love it.
