This might be an unpopular opinion but I love this more than Duel of Fates. This song just has so much emotion that I can't help but adore it
I like your name
Finally someone agree with me. The meaning of this track more emotional than Duel of Fate (without underestimate it)
Agree.
Definitely, I don’t know why this one doesn’t get the same hype. It’s even hard to find a live perfomance on UA-cam. I feel the same about the temple march tune
Exactly! This song has more than a battle feeling, like in Duel of the Fates! It's more emotional!
You know a movie is iconic when millions of people have unintentionally memorized the entire script

That conductor is a true jedi master
Maestro Diego Navarro actually is but using the baton, instead the lightsaber...(:
Him going with the choir while conducting meant he had the higher ground.

Thats nice
Obi-Wan Kenobi well, hello there
General Kenobi
General Kenobi.
Master Kenobi
Hello ta
I cannot watch this without crying.
monorailred1 its just epic dude...epic
Indeed it is powerful than we would have thought
The song to me always conveys the action of the duel but at the same time the sadness of master and apprentice fighting to kill one another
It looked like the director was about to cry
me too. The scene this music was in, mainly just the music itself, always makes me depressed, knowing who Anakin was and what he will do. At least we have something to look forward to, his redemption in EP. 6, which, while it was sad, it was more of a happy sad.
The fact that this song can so clearly tell you the main character is going through alot, the music constantly pulls from dark to light showing the struggle Anakin is truly going through. He never wanted to be a sith, he just loved his wife and let his feeling for into hate. Amazing piece of music.
The conductor was into it!
DONT UNDERESTIMATE HIS POWER!
Imagine prepping for weeks and weeks for the orchetra.. and then being the guy at 0:55
'Slowly hits drum ._.
KnittingN3RD it is pretty hard to play the timpany
Nestlawatr I was taught timpani in band class, it is a very annoying instrument.
I'm wondering about the guy beside him just chilling for the entire number. I'm guessing he wasn't needed at the moment.
@@blockmasterscott Yeah, not that much percussion going on in that piece, except for the timpani player most of the last row gets to chill except for the occasional cymbal hit.
Just loving the major enthusiasm the conductor has its fantastic 😀
At 1:52 the Force theme is subtly in the background. Think it was John Williams’ way of hinting at the conflict Anakin always had in him. As if Obi Wan could have turned him back with enough effort.
well that's because he could if he ever tried to really understand Anakin. There is an analysis on youtube about Anakin and how a lot of the story would have changed, if Qui-Gon teached him.
@@Hecubart By Star Wars Theory right?
Well it is not very subtle... It is the moment when Anakin and Obi Wan both use the Force during the duel. It's very... Tragic moment, so to say, because Anakin uses it against his mentor and beloved brother. That's why it is played in another key.
"background"? :D
It's played when Obi-Wan tries to console Anakin right before the end of their duel.
You don't know the power of music!!!

At first I was like yeah, this is decent. But then I got chills down my spine at 0:34 and actually said holy shit outloud. This performance is absolutely godlike. Just like ROTS.
This song doesn't provoke emotion it straight fucking demands it. By the balls
@@jerodwolford2743 My thoughts exactly
You can tell the conductor has watched ROTS or at least listened to the song many times because he got the EXACTLY correct which often is missed in concerts of John William's repertoire. The force is strong in this one

More than just a few beats, noticeably faster. As a result some sections that are already quite fast become jumbled and have less oomph in my personal opinion. I do like the higher drama and greater variance of some other sections in this rendition nonetheless.

Such a shame to realise we will never, ever have such a music as good as this in a Star Wars...
#sequelsruinedSWmusic
FALSE. I personally like the sequels despite what others think. #SWsequelsdontsuck
Please help me understand why people hate the sequels. I think that besides episode 3 the sequels are the best
The DarkestLight
Brave, but foolish, my old Jedi friend!
Anyway, sequels suck (for me - personal opinion), cause of Rey : this character just not makes any sense mate 😭😭
I mean, the hell she’s a Palpatine? That’s comes out from nowhere and we are told 1 movie before she is nothing!
And the acting of Daisey Ridley is so badddd Oh My God Hayden Christensen was far better than Ridley’s performance.
@@CaptaIn_JS1 I know that that was your personal opinion. But, you cant hate on entire trilogy just because of someone with bad acting. So, you are saying that you hate a trilogy because that trilogy have a bad actor (I personally think that she did an awesome job) so that same trilogy cant have good music.
@@thedarkestlight4563 The problem with the sequels is that they don't try to tell a different story than the original trilogy (using Rey as an example, she starts on a desert planet, her job isn't very glamorous, her parents are dead, etc. Finn is far more interesting because he doesn't have an obvious parallel in the OT, and has a very interesting role as a defecting stormtrooper). They could have done a lot better had they not tried to feed off nostalgia, which they failed to do anyway since it didn't really feel like Star Wars.
Particularly in the Rise of Skywalker, where the pacing of the story reaches hyperspace level speeds. They really needed to slow down and try to tell a real story instead of trying to get as many plot elements as possible into the story. From a storytelling perspective, this makes the prequels much more interesting because they did slow down and create a story that is present throughout the movies.
Jedi steps is ok. That’s about it
Nice to be around here ,where everything is done with passion and love.Glad that I could hear one of Mister Williams's finest work of art.Outstanding
