It might not be the hardest fight in the game, but good lord does it have a ridiculous number of mechanics.
Did I get a bug? The batteries were never halved for me, and buffs never suffered a lower success rate. For reference, I ran a very normal Godjuna-LightKoya-Oberon 3 turn setup and never had any problems. So it's weird that I never saw those two mechanics in my fights.

I just beat this fight thanks to this guide. I used a setup of my (now) bond 15 lvl 120 Kingprotea, tamamo and castoria to do everything up until beast koyan had about half of her last healthbar left. at which point i had a backline ready to finish it.
fun fact, the amount you revive with after the guts scales with your max hp....... so KP would die and come back with more hp than a ssr with full health, which in this fight is kind of busted.

I love koyan as much as the next guy, but this event is like pulling teeth while simultaneously hitting your head on a wall
to me it feels like im being punished for living in a timezone that puts me to sleep during the most active parts of the raid

I feel vindicated reading these comments. I thought maybe I was just being whiny when I complained to my friends that the final boss version of each raid felt like they expected you to either be a whale or just burn a revive to have any chance of winning but apparently they ARE just that bad. Brother if you beat lb6 you should be able to beat these bosses too. I am a f2p and I did not struggle at the bosses even though I did not have melusine
I mean if you're account beat lb 6 then you can power through this considering the final bosses in lb 6

I'm f2p i can beat all raid bosses just fine though i can't do 1T, 2T or 3T except today raid beast koyan which i can do 3T or if cards rng messed me up 6T without revive, seal or plugsuit. I use atlas mc instead. I use gorgon with double koyan mostly.
LB6 was hard, that event isn't.
I didn't even needed to use Melusine, team of Castoria+Mash+NPC Taigong was more than enough to clear 3 bars while Gorgon
with little support killed the final one.
People whine because this battle (Just like Godjuna) requires to use brain instead of simply brute forcing it.
The only bad moment is necessity of Castoria, while Gorgon can be replaced by Lobo.

This whole event has been honestly a headache. Idk if I even want do anything for it after the last of the raids come out. The "Final" fights after each raid have been a massive unfun pain in the ass and this one looks just as annoying.
Yeah what's the deal with the post-raid fights being so hard? Even with my leveled units I still end up using command seals

It's a little rng dependant but no command seals are necessary.
Fights are a pain though I agree game is getting less fun over time. Rng dependant fights with text book length gimmicks.
With a boss fight like Cernunnos, I can at the very least respect it given it's easy to understand but hard to fight. This fight however is living proof that the final wave prediction might as well not be there at all for how useful it usually is. In fact it sometimes *isn't* there thanks to the question mark fights.
This fight will be a massive pain but surely Ibuki and Melusine will carry me to victory
I'm using koyan for this fight, very ez, if you don't have koyan, just use the support koyan

I think the funniest part of this event is how taigong, despite being the premier servant, is terrible for most of the raids including this one.
I dunno if I agree, stacking his anti-divine and anti-demonic mods with the ones you get at the start of the fight lets him deal some really solid damage. Maybe he isn't the best for the highest difficulty raid, but he was pretty good on the 90+ node. I will concede that he wasn't very good in any of the other raids.
He actually worked very well against Koyanskaya but he died pretty quick. He can easily get you through the first break bar

@riv7797 I just looped with him through the first 3 bars then use Melu to finish. It was super easy. I don't understand the people complaining about the difficulty.
Good riddance to this event. Raced through LB-6 to be eligible - then realized that I can't participate in most raids because of time zones and raid bosses dying before I get up.
No worries it is happens to me in the USA.
The final raid lasts more than a day (about a day an a half) and has the best mat drops (bells) so don't give up just yet
Timing ohn this event has been horrible. Also was slow on LB6 and raced the past two days to get ready. missed outon raids 1-3 and well seems to of been a blessing in disguise seething how trash the story fights have been. This should of been pushed back a biut so raid 4 was not on Xmas night and nerfed the fights.
Raids should be mindless fun of how much damage you can do. Not how many hoops you need to jump through.

Another notable DPS option(at least for the raid, this is working well) is Beni-Enma, as she has the extra damage from being a "beast" and her NP's special damage double dips extra damage because Beast IV is unsurprisingly Chaotic Evil.
I checked the page for beast 4 though and it said it had no alignment
Which page though? Both GamesPress and Fandom wiki say she is Chaotic Evil, just like every other beast you fight in game. I was also sure I am getting the double super effective damage, or I wouldn't have been killing her in 1 turn.

Just finished this fight and honestly this was the worst designed fight I’ve been a part of in FGO. I couldn’t count on my buffs so everything was a roll to see if it would work. And the final wave might have been the most BS thing I’ve come across yet. A ruler enemy that keeps instakilling the party if you had the audacity to bring an AOE attacker (including all story supports)? Yeah, this was awful. Used my seals and am happy to be done with this event.

Alright my plan B of using a Tamamo solo in this fight is good to go since I am friends with a Tamamo fan with their Level 120 Tamamo and I just hope they put in the support.

@@thornszk Lots of trolling from the JP idiots it would seem. Story is meh, raids were buggy, annoying and over too quick. Story fights are way to difficult for no good reason. The fact I was slow on LB6 and speed through to get to this pile of crap is a let down.

After trying out weird stuff, I found out that simple solutions work best.
I used Melusine with double Castoria along with Mashu and my very special max bond + Max paw + max gold fou level 100 Heracles. Heracles in particular brute forced the entire final bar in spite of doing neutral damage. I ended up not having to use command spells. They better declare Heracles the Grand Berserker.
Thank you so much, the Tamamo suggestion saved my run and let me win first try.
The event CE you got from the GudaGuda Ryouma's escape is a clutch Ce for this fight since out of the 8 Adds that Beast IV brings, five are demonic. Combined that with Santa Martha you got yourself a team that can aoe down the fight simply enough. All you need is a strong AoE DPS and maybe a command spell or two. If you're unable to get it down by 4 or so turns the fight is gonna get significantly harder though.
*SIGH* At this point I fucking hate this event and am NOT in the mood to humor this fight's mechanics. Imma just SQ revive my way through just like with fluffy boy back in Britain.

Managed to get beast IV on her last legs on my first attempt with summer kiara but when i killed her the ruler enemy death effect procced and kiara died as well then i used my command seals to revive because no way in hell i was doing that again and the battle immediatly ended lmao

All im hearing is that im most definitely going to resort into using my SQ's which isn't really new or a problem since if i used it all i can just get them back by doing all of the free quest i accumulated.
Tunguska has overall been a surprisingly terrible event. I was looking for it, but the writing has been middle-of-the-road event standard despire (apparently) being part of the main story.
I haven't even been able to do any of the raids: I complete the story as soon as the time gate passes and find the raid isn't open yet (there's just "no quest" for some time afterwards). Then i go to sleep and when I wake up it's complete. Why do we still have raids that are finished in 5 hours? What's the point.
Oh and the fights themselves seem designed to be as unfun as possible. So that's great
This really feels like a "we ran out of budget super hard after lb 6 lol" situation: reusing ivan and sutr randomly, the event being raid ONLY with very short story chapters.
Well, it seems that Lobo might have some legroom to do some stuff in this fight. May have to deal with that Kali, but at least I have something effective against the Ruler.
I was planning to rely on Tamamo to solo if I couldn't beat it with my event servants but after moving Gorgon to the back of my lineup she solo'd Koyanskaya's final bar
No doubt I will need to use lots of quartz on revives.
I think this is the first event i purposefully not doing.
My main strategy is brute force:

I probably should have looked up a guide on this before doing the fight lol. When all three of my front liners died for no reason I knew I was like "hmmm, that's...not ideal"
I appreciate more difficult challenges for people that want it but god damn, it was only like 45 seconds before my eyes started glazing over
Cant wait for Lost Belt 7. To be honest, I wish we had weekly content for NA where there's just a consistent challenging run, kind of like how Memory of Chaos is in Honkai Star Rail.
having just done this fight and not paying 100% attention to this guide, the debuffs on that last wave took me totally off guard and are some of the most bonkers things I’ve seen from this game
i was able to beat it with double tamamo and castoria, trying to make the charges match so that i could survive with morph and castoria 3rd skill (tried to have high health in case it missed(i used a mlb maguroshi shinji to try to mitigate it), resetting if she celebrated life (team charge), and also started with mash in the front to use the black barrel ability.
despite my preparedness for this fight, i completely forgot to check the mission drops, and missed out on potentially millions of qp that could be gained from the right craft essences.
I actually no-brained this fight in JP with my NP3 morgan lmao, seems I lucked out with the RNG because I didn't read any of the mechanics
When my guys started to die for no apparent reason I got kind of worried tho.
I heard that tamamo is a viable soloer here, for those who are looking for an easier solution

@@Kumire_921 Heck no. It has less HP, but it's got break bars and tons of shitty mechanics designed to make non-specialized units a major annoyance to run. Definitely not the hardest fight we've ever seen, especially since the support Ibuki can trash this fight, but still just as aggravating as many of the far end-game fights.
After hearing everyone complain about the encyclopedic complexity of the raids, I'm starting to feel better about my silly ideas that they should make a grail war front chapter.
Leaf storm has never let me down
I hate doing raids so I find them being over quickly, rather satisfying. I have limited phone service right now as well, so I’m just here for story even more so than usual. Not to fight the same battle with different HP values for 40 AP. Especially, as my concern is whether my phone’s service will like FGO enough to connect for a decent enough period for me to finish reading.
This Raid was extremely hell, and very difficult, 30,000,000 Kills to finish the raid, but luckily today I just got Mélusine, in Summon.
And I decided to test Mélusine, who was at level 55, now she is at level 60, as soon as I just activated Mélusine's NP, because I used Bargesh and Castoria, as Support,she simply managed to cause damage, because I used the CE of the event.
I just Tama solo’d. I’m not getting a headache over a BS fight.
I was kinda looking forward to this event but thanks to me living in germany and having a wierd scheduel thanks to my job, this event became semi unplayable cause every raid died before I could log in

Maybe…but she’s a berserker and her dmg cut isn’t as good due to her class. I’ll test it out but Caster Tama is the preferred option.

tbh these decisive raid bosses are pretty much LB6 tier, hard but not nearly so frustrating as year one content with year one roster limitations. have had no need for command spells and beat them all first try.
exception here being beast iv decisive but only tried once as of this. gonna do some research to find out why my party kept randomly dying for no reason during their attack phase. huge pita.
i am f2p btw, no koyan or castoria, but i did just roll Melusine.

Edit: Well, it worked. Had more issues setting up the solo than actually performing it.
As a Tamamo enjoyer I am 2 levels away from 120. Ever since Olympus I have been glad that Tamamo and S.Kiara have been the units I have gone to extreme lengths to upgrade as a F2P gamer. If I cannot brute force my way with Kiara then I'll do solo with Tamamo. Feels good man to finally be prepared for a hard battle as a happy byproduct of my stupid team building as no other unit in my Chaldea has the same power level and enhancing as those two!
Went into the fight with my grailed Gorgon, Plugsuit and a bunch of supports (Castoria, KoyanLight, Himiko), plus Mash and story Ibuki in the backline. For the most part I went tl;dr on the boss and mob effects and was able to nuke Koyan down to her last bar, until I forgot about that Ruler mob's death effect and everyone died. At that point Ibuki swooped in and finished the job.
Seriously, don't sleep on that story support Ibuki if you're hurting for a good DPS, she's crazy good for this encounter.
I've been burn out from the raid, and this event make me feel like it's not worth trying. So I just use sq to revive instead, and I'm glad I use those instead of loosing my sanity trying to beat the game
Dang, I just brute forced the final fight by burning 2 revives because the instant death mechanic kept wiping my team and I just wanted to be done with it. Oops.
Guide helped get to last break bar easily, then just had tama-caster solo the final break bar for the win lol
I think ill skip the main raid like I did with Surtr. It just seems unfun and my account is only 3 months old.
I'm not looking forward to this actual fight. I mean, I'm somewhat enjoying fighting her raids with my "Beast III Formation" team, despite it being either she nukes my Beasts or mine nuke her if my front line goes down. Damn this event, and damn Lasengle for their pitiful "compensation" of 10 SQs for the raid I wanted/needed to do for mats.
Is it weird that I don't mind this fight? This feels like how fighting a Beast should be like, a tough fight that really makes you think.
It doesn’t makes you think when’s it’s purely a RNG fest of whether your buffs will land or not + locking damage CEs to the gacha because fuck the players I guess
I didn't hate it as much as some people seem to do. It only took me 3 or 4 tries and it just took me moving Gorgon to the back to take care of the final health bar instead of having Barghest last. There were a few times that my servants didn't die when I thought they would and Orochi was a big help.
Asterios is pretty good for this fight if your roster isn't good enough to just mow down the enemy.
Imagine celebrating a Happy Christmas but this event gave us headache and 10 SQ.
The only benefit to this event is that I'm EST so raids are relatively doable and I can farm QP to 10/10/10 my faves

How has it been shitty? It was mostly easy boss fights. I only had like 1 or 2 extremely haed fights, other than that it was okay

From a lore standpoint, Koyanskaya being such a pain in the ass to kill makes sense. From a game balance standpoint, it makes sense to make such a late-game boss very strong. From a practical standpoint, this Raid can go die in a fire. I have a maxed Anti-Divine Buster Servant with Merlin and Oberon full support, and I can only BARELY manage to kill the lowest tier of this bitch. And by maxed I mean 10/10/10/10/10/10 Level 100 NP5 Nobuvenger. I know she's not the greatest Servant, but Koyanskaya IS Divine, so I figured it'd even out. It did not. Her health value is absolutely LUDICROUS. And from the sounds of it, her actual Boss Fight is going to be a nightmare and a half to deal with. I am not looking forward to this, but I will do what I can to kill her. SQ revivals aplenty, I guess...
This isn't the raid, this is the boss fight after the raids have been cleared. It is so much worse
It sounds like you're trying to 1 shot the final raid. Don't! You need to kill all of the adds in a 3 turn to get all of the drops. I'm 3 turning it with double Castoria, NP1 Vritra, and Santa Martha. I only have the single non-MLB 5* Damage CE too. You might honestly have too much damage there.
@@solitare4602 i agree with u, even im only using s. kiara np 1 + double castoria + oberon no dmg ce but i supplement it with BG, its fine to 3 T it but only in mid difficulty (90+)

I saw this video in my suggested, decided to do the fight blind, beat it first try AFTER triggering the insta-kill on the final wave because I stopped paying attention to enemy buffs.

My lv 120 barghest np 5 with two tamamo vitch and castoria manage this fight pretty well
Well gl everyone. I think I’ll make be able to make this event before it leaves lol 😂 I will miss the raids tho but oh well. I’m awaiting the lotto event now.
Gorgon is my favorite servant. She is the real monster in this event. If rng don't messed up my cards. Npbb from gorgon w double koyan absolutely wreck any cq tested by me. I often put barghest as an anchor and with cd reduction from koyan and atlas you can stack her third skill to double np regen and double def stack most of the time you can see enemies deal 0 dmg or low around 100-300 dmg. It's up to your build tho. But for me gorgon and barghest absolutely beast here. I own melusine but never really use her that much here.
Raid mode 40 ap could be easy if were first difficulty, it should be best moment to farm materials
Man, what a way to end it. First there was Ivan the Tomfoolery and now this. Shame. I typically like Events. While I don't despise it like 99.98% of the others do, it is nowhere near being on my list of Events I am eager for a Rerun on. I am still waiting for the ghost apartments and Assassin Shiki and I was there for the original run of that. Oh well. Bonding with my Melusine at least was fun. Oh, and thanks for the guide. I would have pulled my hair out doing this blind, especially if no retries.

I was getting angry at the bullshit luck the boss was getting in the fight, taking out my Melusine a turn before victory. Then Oberon comes in, puts everyone to sleep and Koyan takes herself out with curse buildup. What a fucking troll.

Sadly I lost my account during the Cinder Elizabeth event and just got it back just now. So I missed the Welfares. Fate Samurai Remnant cheered me up a bit during that time.

Personally i think that Is not that bad as you think It Is, Cinderella eli Is really good and of the 3 i personally think She Is the only One that can be considered a big loss, ranmaru Is a nice servant but unless you somehow don't have an arts looper servant She won't see much use unless you like her, santa Martha Is also a nice general support that helps with Divine enemies but personally i think She isn't that big of a loss. I suggest try to keep going and if you feel bothered stop playing. Also if you paid for sq you can use the receipit and they most likely give you back the account.
I think you can get customer support to regain your account but if you already tried that idk. I'd only play for the main story personally.

Welfares will return at one point, so you are alright, but it is a shame you missed old CEs and those older welfares during the last Halloween event.

So Tama+Castoria+Taigon and Herc backline? With three cmd spell... Essentially wasting the fronline as much as possible the bring Her in to kill the target and leyline stone once done
Herc doesn't get bonus damage against her (only demonic beast servants do), so he's not really worth using in this fight, IMO
@@mifdsam No I use Herc to Eliminate a single target and wasted Koyon as much s possible before dying. Then Rinse and Repeat.

I put Asclepius there thinking that at least he can help with some healing/charge/debuffs and it was him who just barely dragged my Vritra over the finishing line.

Raids are usually much more difficult to clear than regular farming nodes. Besides.....This is post LB6 event. I doubt you can clear LB6 and have a weak account. it just doesn't mix.
If you are talking about not being able to play the event, precisely due to LB6 lock, well......You won't be able to clear this with a weak account, it's simply not gonna happen.

Melusine is excellent here in raid 90++. I finished it in 1 Turn only..
You fucked up then. You are supposed to do it in 3 turns and kill all of her allies to get every possible drop.

By going to three turns, you get much better drops. Of course, 1 turns are faster, but much less AP efficient.
I am gonna stick with Story Support Ibuki, because I am one of those people who are deficient in the attack department. I have no faith in NP 2 Barghest or NP 1 Tamamo Cat and that's all I have.
The HWB instant death effect is completely BS and feel that it was just terrible design.
This was probably my least favorite event since I started playing.
- Buggy first boss and hours to receive any feedback.
- Complete lack of consideration for players from different time zones even though this is the GLOBAL version of the game.
- Bosses that die in 1-2 hours thanks to whales and leave most of the playerbase unable to participate properly.
- Almost no story or activities between raids, with players only able to sit around waiting for the next one.
- Annoying bosses with gimmicks that if you don't have specific servants and/or specific CEs you'll spend hours banging your head trying to defeat them.
- Locking the event behind completing Lostbel 6 motivates players to race through the best story the game has to offer.
*In short: QP and Bond points are good, but fu*k this event*
To be fair, I think the last one is understandable since this event uses context from Lostbelt 6.
1 it is a fucking raid every raid in the game is gone fast (look at barbatos)
2- it is a story related chapter so you need to know what happens in lb6 to understand it anyways
3- if you had cleared lb6 you should have enough servant power to beat those bosses
@@Wakame75 Why not give Players who don't care about spoilers and just want to be able to participate in the event the option to play at their own risk? It's not like the game is worried about keeping everything spoiler free since you have animations that play when you start the game, banners, etc...
@@Truck-kun11 Hey, I'm not arguing whether they should or shouldn't. I'm just saying it's understandable that it was locked until after you have cleared LB6. Though in my opinion, I can't really imagine anyone enjoying FGO for anything besides the story. Could just be me though. The units alone aren't enough to satisfy me.
@@muhammetemiraydin1459 - After so long they should have realized that these Bosses need to have more life points so more people have the chance to participate.
- Give the option to play even with the risk of spoilers, I don't see why players should be locked out when many might not even care and just want to be able to farm.
- Fair enough, but there is a difference between bosses that are difficult but fun to engage and bosses that are a nightmare to fight due to the thousand and one ways that the game can screw you with RNG and ruin any strategy.
Of all the bad things about this event, I still think the WORST part of it all is locking the 5 star damage CE in the gacha...

Honestly loved the difficulty of these fights. I had my fair share of fun planning proper setups.
this entire event is shite
My only joy was getting 500M QP from Surtr.
Followed the Plushie Ibuki 4T setup and it made it much easier than i thought it was going to be. I expected still being annoying but thank god for buster crits. The damage CE really helps and personally my Ibuki is lvl.100 max fou so that was a bonus. The raids were fun (minus that one guy lol) & the event had some great lore. Probably will pull for Koyan Dark just cause i like her design & like Plushie one day she'll get a buff.
I hate this fight. There are not enough words in the English or French language to describe how much I hate this fight. I did it, it is done and I will never do it again.

this fight sucks, i just threw 3 command seals and a saint quartz at it just to get it over with. Still got a net positive of 9 sq in total, so who cares.
