If you dont mind me asking, how much money has this house cost up to this point? Curious to how much could be saved/lost doing it your self vs buying a prefab.
I don't mind. I've done quite a bit more since this video - installed some windows, finished sheathing, started on the roof - and we're at $20,726. At the time of this video, probably 16k or 17k. You save a lot when you do it yourself. About 75% of a new construction is what you end up paying other people, not materials.
@arizonaadam3000 thats awesome! Thanks for the response. I'm planning to do something similar here in AZ as well bought some land down south east and weighing my options.Cant wait to see it finished. I love the series, keep it up!
Great to see what you've been up to Adam, love what you have accomplished and your plans for the house. How's the tiny home holding up and are you enjoying it?
Thank you! The tiny house is holding up well; but honestly, I'm ready to get out of it. Two adults and two big dogs, and all our junk, is a bit much for 288 sq ft.
Thanks, Adam
looks fantastic what you are doing. take care and have a wonderful weekend
Thanks! You too.
❤️👍👍👍
What was the locktite stuff you were talking about. What will you be covering the outside of the plywood with. What bug sealing did you use.
Loctite PL Premium Polyurethane Construction Adhesive. It's a super strong glue.

@@mypoostank775 Thanks! I'll have part 8 out when I'm done with the parapet - end of summer/early fall. Best of luck to you!
