Extra Pro tip: To make real glass shader(the one used in headlights and things like that) in cycles- Take glass shader and transparent shader. Mix them with mix shaders node and plug them in material output. You will see some dark black glassy look Which has a lot of ways to fix but most of them takes a lot of computational Power So here the magic start: Add a light path node and use ray length Plug it into greater than with a value of 3 or something and use as factor of mix shader. This way,the shader will use glass shader for first 3 light bounces and transparent shader for all the others. This not taking a lot of computational Power as well as fixing the blackness issue of glass shader. (If you still have that issue, make sure to increase transmission and glossy light bounces in render settings)
That looks like it'll come in handy. I needed this, thank you so much. I have some scenes now that the windows just didnt look right, this should fix it right up.
Hello Damian, I'm relatively new to blender. I've looked it up online a lot and can't find any good video to create a realistic Diamond. so please, can you make a tutorial on how to make a diamond material with the proper refraction and caustics. Thanks 😊
Could someone help with get to solution with my problem. With blender 2.93 every time I switch to render mode on the viewport. It’s says “loading kernels, it may take a few minutes” then it crashes. Every time I have update blender is the past , it’s shown that before but it would only do that the very first time of me using the newly updated version of blender for the first time. Now it’s does that every time with 2.93. Someone please help !!!
I faced the same problem.....the culprit is OPTIX for some reason. It was working fine before. To fix it you have to switch to CUDA and in viewport denoiser option....if its switched on...it must be switch to "openimage denoiser"....if its on optix again same problem and automatic also uses optix so no help there as well. For some reason optix is broken in 2.93 version for some gpu.
@@shikharbansal8433 It worked! Ive been trying to find a solution for this for the last two weeks, crazy have changing to cuda fixed it. hopefully they update optix for 2.93 soon. Thank You!
@@KurisuDE i love to work in blender....but don't have a decent enough system to render using cycles. I can't afford to buy new system and definitely can't afford to stop using blender because i love it too much. So eevee is the savior.

Wow ... Impressive and nicely short 😎
Thank You, I've spent hours trying to figure out how to do this and then you come along and do it in less the two minutes, thank you
Thanks man, a lot of authors talk about glass, but only you didn’t forget the main thing, change the blend mode in Eevee!
These short tutorials are very helpful

Wow, good job brother !!!
Your related 😵😮
Thank God I found this video it was very helpful. Thank you it even worked with cycles 😊
Exactly what i was looking for! Thanks so much
thank you brother for your lessons
interesting option for Eevee
Thanks brother ❤️
Awesome video. Thank you for sharing
Why mixing with facing instead of fresnel? Isn't fresnel more physically accurate?
Thanks! I was afraid EEVEE will cock block my car windows...
ok this is a life-changing decision. mk iv or mk v?
Thanks! I was just looking for this kind of tutorial..😊
this is what i was looking for btw thanks
Thank you
please, do a lesson .. dust from under the wheels .. with the use of physics .. smoke ..
if your results are funky try turning off show backface as that helped fix it for me
Thank you so much !!! Helped me alot
Thank you so much! It was very helpful
Просто и чётко. Потрясающе, спасибо за контент!
Hey!! NICE TUTORIAL MAN!!
Can you please make a tutorial on Marvel's Wanda power effect in blender
gracias por la leccion
thanks bro!!
Thank you.. Thank you❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Finally..😭
Tnx for the quick and useful video
so helpful video.
So easy! Nice
thanks
If I buy your half dome shall I able to create the animation which you made in hdri maker?
Yes! Can do exactly that.
I always use this trick lmao
Which i should use to very realistic car shading cycle or eevee ? Pls
Cycles

Here you need refraction and you can google the correct index. I think it’s quite high. Caustics you can forget about in cycles or Eevee haha
@@DamianMathew I managed to work upto the refraction part, but caustics is where I couldn't get it. Now I know why. Thanks a lot 😊
@@dev.swarnakar you can use a different renderer only for caustics like
Luxcore
Or maybe yafaray actually. Not sure
@@DamianMathew thank you. I'll get my hands on both and try them.
p.s. - you're awesome 😊
please do for headlights too
FInally, I can improve my Falcon's windshield.

Why do you prefer eevee over cycles? Just curious.
I don't haha. But a lot of people seams to have such shit PCs that they can't even run cycles.
@@DamianMathew Then it seems to be a wise choice to use blender with those machines.
