  • Look at the Fivics Pin Nocks. Compare them to other pin nocks. We shoot the Fivics Pin Niocks and the Beiter pin nocks.

I have always used G-nocks directly into the shaft and never had a problem. Well until this summer when I had my first robin hood. I never really thought about it until I realized I just lost two arrows and like $20+ dollars. So yeah, I am convinced. I will be moving to pin nocks - at least with my new recurve arrows. Which is a shame because I have a butt load of g-nocks !!
I did notice many of the archers shooting in the 2024 Olympics used the over the shaft Beiter nocks. Maybe something to try out too.

Bohning smooth release pin nocks are excellent. They are a much better, (tighter), fit on to Easton pins compared to Easton nocks, and also cost one third the price.

Thank you for this. I was using the Bohning F nocks that come pre-installed on the VAPs. I couldn’t find a pin nick version ???? So I ordered the smooth release pin nocks. Hopefully they’ll be ok.

When i bought some pins and nocks, it said they were suitable for a 300 spine arrow, so i assumed they'd be fine with the kind of poundage used with a 300 spine arrow. But the eastern G pin nocks, can't take 2 shots from a 70lb bow, they just spread straight away. Can anyone suggest a pin nock that will stand up to a 390g arrow being shot from a 70lb set up? Otherwise I've just ruined a dozen xv's, because someone didn't hot melt the pin in.
    Thx in advance

Fortunate to shoot with an archer using these Fivics pin nocks recently, so had a good close study. I have always had a preference for Easton G Pin nocks, however these seem so similar in appearance and string fit, with the significant cost advantage, are definitely well worthy of a try.

I had huge problems with Easton G pin nocks cracking (well, exploding on the shot, really), switched to beiter and never looked back.

It might make more difference on a lower draw weight recurve, but the only thing that's bothered me with nocks, is the ones you can almost see through seem much more brittle. The nocks you can't see any light through, seem a little softer, so less likely to crack.

Do all brands fit on any pin? Are they universal between brands?

Do you need to glue them on?

If you're going through a dozen knocks a week, you should give it a try and make it a long term test. Like one month of shooting 3 Beiter and 3 Fivics and tracking the results in score and knock consumption :-)

I'm sorry i have request that out of this context but, can you made a video for your daily routine exercise for drawing much higher poundage for compound bow? I just switched my bow and now i struggled to draw it. Please, i love your videos because it is so detailed.

Hi, great reviews! May I ask a question? Have you tried the Fivics Mach1 and/or Zeilo arrows? What is your thoughts on them?

Hi Steve, great reviews! I was a big fan of Beiter pin nock for a couple of years, then I realised that they were very prone to cracking, I can't count the number of times I would go to pull my arrows only to find the nock on the ground in front of the butt, not broken but with lots of hairline cracks where it fits over the pin. I'm a Mathews shooter, I've never had this with GT or Easton nicks.

I have shot just about every pin nock on the planet, pretty sure every nock I've shot has had cracks at some stage some general shooting and minor glances, although I didn't shoot Micro HD's long enough I was breaking them too fast lol. However, I would not be worrying about minor cracks, if its a crack running halfway up the nock causing serious fitment issue then yeah it needs to be thrown but apart from that, some cracks (2mm ish) are normally still fine to shoot.

no point unless shooting fingers or a loopy

      @liamboyle9199 5 років тому

Asymmetric is really only used by people who have torqueless loops these days, still, a good nock like all the Beiters are and even if you shoot a normal loop you can still use them (of course)

@@Aussiejim Thank you, Sir Jim. Its just its been more than a month since I 1st got his fb message and then nothing came after that. I'd been sending him emails thru his website but didn't get any response or reply. By the way, I'm in Cebu City, Cebu Province, Philippines. I teach archery to kids 7 yrs old & up. Shooting fun, not competition style shooting. Right now, the bows we're using are made from pvc pipes (sort of primitive) with dacron strings & jazz arrows. Draweight about 10-12lbs. Archery sets are very expensive in the Philippines.

Recurve barebow shooter... have shot both brands for over a year, personally I like the Fivics better. They seem tougher, and I think they have a more positive report of locking on nocking
