- Getting tired of ice fishing, I decided to hit a creek for some late winter musky fishing in western PA. I had never been to this location before. Weather was sunny with a high in the low 40s. The water temperature was in the mid to high 30s. Muskies were located under fallen trees that spanned the creek in 3-6 feet of water. Action occurred during midday.

Your channel s awesome. I just recently starting trying to go after Musky this year and your channel is very informative and helpful, especially since I live in PA myself. I just tried a bit on the Juniata but no luck with Musky. My bro hooked into what we thought was a Musky at first, but turned out to be a good sized Striper haha.
That’s awesome man I appreciate it. I only just started having any success with musky in PA myself during the last 12 months.
What an absolute battle on the bank man, and great solo net work too!!! Great work!!!
Haha thanks man!! That was actually my first time solo netting a musky like that. Lots of respect to people who do that regularly-not easy!
Good shit bro! Nothin beats the thrill of some fast, skinny water action💪🎣
You know it!
Enjoyed the video. That was a great fish. Well deserved and tight lines always!
Thank you!
Awesome video! 💪
thank you!
WOW! That is a MONSTER!!!!
Just recently started following you. I’ve really been enjoying the videos. I had to laugh When I realized that the video you posted, on February 27 my birthday, I was fishing right next to you for a while. I actually helped out a gentleman, who I think was there with you, who fell into the water that day.
Really enjoying the channel. keep up the great work.
Wow! Actually I had just met that guy when he came over after I landed the fish the day you saw me. Anyway I’m glad you enjoy the videos and thanks for watching!
Awesome stuff 👍👍
Thank you!
Awesome video! Loved that you got that bite on camera, I actually said NOOOOOO! out loud when the hook pulled out!
Hoping to see some river walleye vids soon, if you do target them.
Thanks! yes, assuming I’m successful, the next video will be walleye, gonna hit them hard this spring !
Nice musky. I would say it was a good day too.
Shesshh🔥🔥🔥🔥
On that zinger baby!!
Hell yessss
I remember landing my first Musky on the shore by myself on the St. Croix River in Minnesota/Wisconsin. Keeping constant pressure on a big fish while trying to net it is a difficult task. Too much slack line and the fish can come off.
What made it worse for me was I had a bunch of big rocks/boulders lol. Nearly fell in the water when netting 🤣
Nice catch though. I'm hoping to get back out once the season here opens.
Was this in Prescott or in Hudson??? I live in river falls and fish those areas often!
@@aftonm693 Hudson
You should have seen me with a couple carp when I was by myself. Total disasters haha
Aí sim q do valor parabéns pelo seu trabalho videira sc Brasil 👍👍👍
obrigado amigo

great job and video! it isn't easy to land them from the bank...my last one I didn't have a net and ended up with 6 stitches in my finger...landed the fish and got pics though!
That’s all that matters!
Nice catch! You should mark your net handle with some basic measurement marks. Aluminum handle you can scribe some lines in.
Thanks
I dont know where you are in western pa
But I live on the ohio side of the state line and grew up fishing conneaut creek . However on the pa side conneaut creek houses an old musky population . Have u ever fished it ?
I have not. I’ve fished the lake and seen some but not the creek
I used to live on the PA side, fishing Conneaut Creek for smallmouth from Albion down to Conneautville. But closer to the lake it does look more like Musky water.
@@michaelskotnicki7266 killer spring small mouth fishing
I know this is an old video but what reel is that? I've seen it in some of your videos and I can't figure it out looks nice! Great video as always!
Thanks! Shimano curado 300EJ. They stopped making it a while ago and mine broke
@@absoluteunitmedia Ah that's a bummer that was a nice reel! I fish Southeast PA for Muskies got to get out west and give it a shot out there! Keep up the good work man.
Thanks for not giving the spot , I almost went there today .
No problem
What creek is it
Great videos. Laid up after hip surgery its just like being there! What kind of rod and reel is that? I want to try musky fishing in Michigan when I recover
Thanks! Get well soon. St croix mojo musky 8 ft heavy and Shimano curado 300ej. Both are old versions not made any more that I’ve since lost or broke 😂
@@absoluteunitmedia you're a true pro fishermen. Watching gives me a real shot of excitement thank you brother
Hi, awasome catch! which model is your mojo musky?
Thanks…it’s the 8 ft heavy power fast action. But before they updated the line and still had cork
@@absoluteunitmedia Great! I got your same rod today but I have yet to try it. Here where I live there are no muskies but there are esox lucius
@@lorenzocontinolo5160 awesome! Well it’s a great all around rod for throwing big lures for pike/musky. I also sometimes use it for big catfish (flathead catfish).
WOW!! NET Much??!! LMAO!!!
You use buzz baits or gaint bucktail pike lures
Hardly ever. Trying to get into that though. Gotta get some confidence in them
Pet fish
Doesn't have to be a big lure had a 40 incher hit my booyah micro pond spinner while bass fishing lol no leader it shook its head no no as it took off with my spinner lol
What’s the average cost of a large Muskie lure?
Tough question. The ones I use in this video are 40$
@@absoluteunitmedia I figured they would be expensive. My large bass lures are expensive so I knew these would be threw the roof. Love your vids. Keep them coming.
@@christophershelton1735 thank you 🙏 I will
What creek is that?
Sorry this spot is tiny and already really pressured so I can’t in good conscience put the name in the comment section.
@@absoluteunitmedia lol but you post a video about it? And it doesn’t matter it’s named by your buddy in the comments, there isn’t an angler in Western PA who doesn’t know that stream is littered with musky, now the guys who haven’t been there and thought it was too pressured will be there next time you go lol
@@dustingrabowski1365 lol man you could be completely right who knows. It was actually my first time there. Regardless I made a decision to follow the standard youtube fishing "etiquette" of not naming most spots
Looks like Brush Creek Park.
I was just curious. I’m not a fisherman. Nice to know that there’s fish like this in our creek’s. I didn’t know fishing in winter was possibly. Only place I know about is Erie. Thought you were close by there.
What State ya’ll in?
Pennsylvania
@@absoluteunitmedia Must be nice to have open season all year long. 🤙
Where are you at that you are allowed to fish for them right now?
Pennsylvania has no closed season for musky…same with West Virginia, Kentucky, and a few other places
@@absoluteunitmedia ahhh I see, I can’t wait to get back out there and chase them, I live in Wisconsin so I have like 2 months left
Ur brother is no help
😂
