I disagree that we can’t call it apartheid because that is specific to SA, we need to be able to describe things in simple terms to allow people to understand and apartheid is way more descriptive of the reality on the ground in the WB than occupation. I think both of you should go to the WB and describe what you see to your audience and than compare it to what you remember/know about apartheid vs military occupations and see which is a more realistic description.
Indeed the Rome Statue lists the crime of apartheid as one of the crimes over which the ICC has jurisdiction, and this crime is (obviously) defined without reference to South Africa.
Re Israel, every single country in the world should be actively opposed to this utter sadistic madness and anyone talking about it has a duty to expose the truth and be showing that they are trying to stop it - enough of these little ego chats
The Al-Aqsa Intifada saw a dramatic upswing in suicide bombings, with A, 40% of the total number originated in East Jerusalem.[a] A 2007 study of Palestinian suicide bombings during the Second Intifada (September 2000 through August 2005) found that 39.9% of the suicide attacks were carried out by Hamas, 26.4% by Fatah, 25.7% by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), 5.4% by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) and 2.7% by other organizations. The attacks steeply declined by 2008.

@@Milominderbender586 it's a valid attack. Campbell is one of the main architects behind the Iraq war and has far more blood on his hands than any contemporary Middle Eastern leader.
Rory, I know we longer stick to the original tradition of putting up plant decorations on Christmas Eve and leaving them 40 days till Candlemas Eve (February 1st), but it's not even Advent yet, and that tree is *very* early!
Just seen the title of this and the answer is no. Scum like this with their friends in high places never suffer the consequences of their actions unlike us plebs. And the media and governments dont understand why we think their corrupt scum.
I feel these discussions completely erase the context of the oppression Palestinians faced since 1948. Always, bringing up Oct 7th rather than key dates when Palestinians have been invaded, attacked and massacred before that is this deliberate misleading line mainstream media have fed us which we are fed up with. As Englishmen do you think colonising Palestine is ok - do you think Palestinians lives are equal? Israelis can easily see what's happening in Gaza just like we all can. i'd be more interested to hear why it's even ok to take the land from Palestinians and how this terrible situation is managed in a humane way
The only thing you need to make these petitions viable is to make them verifiable. Just give people a signing key when they get a NIN and make that a requirement to signing those petitions.
After the 1st and 2nd Intifada, and now Oct 7, the Israeli's have little empathy for the Palestinians. I was in Israel in the 70's and it was radically different.
Re European military industrial capacity: to what Rory said I'd add the following. Europe does in fact have the potential for more military manufacturing than the US does in some areas. Finding the money to pivot key areas of industry to a war footing is eminently doable and can be done fairly quickly. However, what is wholly lacking is the political will to do so on the part of European leaders. I disagree with you that the European/British general public won't go to war to defend democratic values in Ukraine. I think if you were to ask our military men and women "are you up for this" they'd all say "Absolutely!"
I think it is very unlikely .. but .. it would be nice to think that heads of state would be held accountable for war. Truly accountable. And their cabinets.
I could write 10,000 words, but I will just say your comments on Israel and Iran were misjudged and your joint view on Israel's position is wrong. You are not doing well on this subject.
I always watch the podcast of these two gentlemen with great interest, but I must say that, like much of the Western world, when it comes to Israel and Palestine, their perspectives-and the values by which they assess these issues-often turn upside down. First, let us address the nonsensical claim that apartheid does not exist in Israel because, as some suggest, the crime of apartheid is exclusive to South Africa. This is a blatant distortion of logic. The crime of apartheid refers to inhumane acts committed to establish and maintain the domination of one racial group over another, systematically oppressing them. It is defined under international law by instruments such as: The 1973 International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid (ICSPCA), which includes acts like murder, enslavement, and deprivation of rights with the intent of racial domination-without any reference to South Africa. The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (1998), which defines apartheid as a crime against humanity involving systematic inhumane acts under an institutional regime of racial oppression and domination. The old adage here applies: If it looks like apartheid, smells like apartheid, and quacks like apartheid, it probably is apartheid. But don’t just take my word for it; even Benny Morris, a prominent historian and Zionist, recently signed a letter acknowledging that such a crime is indeed occurring in the occupied territories. You can find his letter everywhere online. Furthermore, it is essential to understand the role of courts in these matters: courts do not engage in political assessments. Therefore, the argument that equates Netanyahu and Hamas on a moral level is entirely flawed. Courts assess behavior and actions, not the perceived nature of the accused. The conduct of the Israeli government has been judged as warranting potential arrest for Netanyahu and Gallant under two counts of crimes against humanity. This includes specific behaviors such as denying medical supplies to the population-and blocking humanitarian aid, which constitutes war crimes. These are precise actions, not abstract moral equivalencies. Moreover, if Israel is confident it has committed no crimes, it is entirely free to present its case in court, where it will be judged impartially according to international law. Arguments such as “We are a democracy, so we should not be held accountable” make no sense. After all, most war crimes are committed by states engaged in conflict, regardless of whether they are democracies, dictatorships, or technocracies. A state’s political system is irrelevant to determining whether its actions constitute crimes under international law. Lastly, let us address the absurdity of some recent narratives. Crimes, as we have discussed-especially war crimes-are not abstract concepts like beauty, whose perception varies from one observer to another. War crimes are acts that can be objectively judged by courts, and the identity of the perpetrator or victim does not serve as justification or condemnation. Recently, on various talk shows, we’ve heard claims that current events are nothing more than a vile “hunt for Jews.” Some have even gone so far as to liken the arrest warrant for Netanyahu to a modern-day Blood Libel. This grotesque claim is deeply ironic, as it implies that the international legal framework-built on the ashes of the Holocaust to safeguard human dignity and prevent atrocities-is somehow antisemitic. International law, embodied in instruments such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Geneva Conventions, and the Convention on Genocide, exists to protect humanity from discrimination, violence, and abuse. To suggest that condemning war crimes and atrocities amounts to discrimination undermines the very essence of justice. This framework is neither arbitrary nor ideological; it is the cornerstone of universal principles designed to shield all victims-without exception-from the horrors history has taught us to never forget. Never again means never again for anyone.
A good assessment but doesn’t address the makeup and political bent of those who make the judgement. If you think that is irrelevant you are kidding yourself. Courts are rarely impartial.
@@tom5216 Once again, your argument is a narrative, not a genuine assessment. It is akin to claiming that no one in prison is truly guilty of their crimes because every court is composed of human beings, who are inherently biased and, in theory, corruptible. Unless you have concrete evidence to challenge the legitimacy of this judgment-specifically evidence regarding the blockade of aid into Gaza that the world has not yet seen-your point is as frivolous as accusing a court of antisemitism for merely upholding the law. What you describe as a "political bent" contradicts what the entire world can plainly observe. There is no dispute among independent bodies, human rights organizations, and other credible sources that serious war crimes have likely been committed on our watch. These crimes demand investigation. In fact, I would argue that if there were a political bias, it would favor the more powerful Western-aligned nations. For instance, despite well-documented reports of torture and rape by IDF soldiers in Israeli prisons-acts that undeniably constitute war crimes-these allegations have not been included in the case under discussion. If we examine this objectively, it becomes evident that the rules rarely, if ever, bend in favor of the weakest, the poorest, or the powerless. On the contrary, they are far more often skewed to protect the interests of the powerful. Furthermore, it is important to note that the judges you implicitly accuse of corruption sought the opinion of a prominent figure before proceeding with the arrest warrant: Holocaust survivor and esteemed judge Hajo Meyer. By accusing the ICC of partiality, you are, by extension, casting doubt on his integrity as well-which, quite frankly, is an absurd proposition.
On the gender stuff at the end (and I say this as a Labour party member who has spoken out against sexism against women in my workplace, and who despises Trump, Musk as well as the likes of Andrew Tate)... I don't blame many young men for wanting to rebel at the moment. They are bombarded with the idea that they are little more than a potential threat to women and girls, that the best they can be is someone who stands up for women against other men, and that their own wellbeing and that of their male friends isn't very important. Many will be able to just let this wash over them, and some will buy into the idea that they can be a knight in shining armour, but for those who have suffered bullying or other hardships and received an unsupportive response precisely because they are male, it's not surprising that they would react strongly against the attitudes they face. But if they speak out, they can expect a barrage of misandry which will not be condemned by the media or the authorities (in contrast to misogyny which unfortunately also exists but is at least widely condemned). If we want to stop the radicalisation of many young men, a good place to start would be to treat their wellbeing and their voice as having equal value to those of young women.
You can literally see where the votes on the petition are from. There certainly are foreign votes, it is also a fact there are over 2 million native votes. What a surprise you deny this fact, truly shocked.
Giving an example of “unpopularity” vs Blair in this time of polarisation is completely wrong. I am afraid Ross appears to still live in the 90s & 00s - when you’re living in this era of one-sideism
I am a life long Labour supporter and activist. Starmer is making a big mistake talking down the petition. People aren't really expecting a G.E. what they are doing is letting the Govt know that they have totally mishandled policy so far. The WFA should have been announced this year for next year allowing time to sign up people who should be getting credits but aren't, raising the level for credits to a survivable level and funding the year via a windfall tax on the massive profits of the energy companies(win/win). The VATon private schools is counter productive because the tax paying parents are paying twice and so will the Govt when they have to pay to fund places in state schools. Lowering N.I. threshold is madness. The Farmer's tax is crazy unless they were setting them up for sale to Blackrock.
I think I have figured it out. I know how to predict the political outcomes in this day and age. Here goes: if the issue is geopolitical, look what side is the United States taking- that is the side that is going to lose. If the issue is electoral, look what side are people like Rory and Alastair taking- that is the side that is going to lose. If predictions done based on this rule turn out to be incorrect, then the issue has not yet been resolved, and we are up for another spin of the wheel. Because old reality has broken, and the new reality is asserting itself. And it will be uglier and harder and more brutal and worse. But the old one is dead and the new one is what we have now.
It hasn’t even been an hour, and people are already mentioning David Kelly and Campbell’s Iraq dossier. This comment section should either be moderated or entirely disabled if people can’t refrain from bringing up irrelevant information about Campbell that doesn’t reflect the kind of person he is 😠
It is still something that has never really been dealt with properly and people have a right to bring it up, as annoying as that may be for others. Given a major part of the problem was control of narrative, censoring it seems a bit ironic.
Slow to come to conclusion that killing children is wrong..are you actually for real..so disappointed in excellent communicators who I had held in very high esteem
Millions of us agree with Clare Daly Irish politician - she says it as it is. Genocide green lighted in Gaza , illegal, inhumane, for shame. shame. Clare Daly speaks for me and millions of us in Europe, UK who stand for peace and justice - our governments have let us down.
Alastair is one of those rare, principled people in public life. His dedication to being honest and looking at things objectively speaks for itself, and a single dossier, no matter how controversial, can’t erase the trust and respect he’s earned over the years. He’s truly a good man.
It's a choice freedom why would he listens to your non valid opposition to his taste ( Sir you have no right to inter in this what other humens looks for or choises ect) its cold individual freedom....
Petition. There is lot bad to be said about Labour's comms. They aren't owning the narrative. But anyone expecting things to turn around in 4 months, or didn't expect some sort of tax rises was kidding themselves. If we had an election every time any government was perceived to have 'lied' in its election manifesto before getting elected we'd never have a government in for more than 6 months. NI. I want public services that work. If that means employers are contributing more in NI then so be it. I feel very much for SME's that this will cause pain for of course. But the money has to come from somewhere. I wonder if Liz truss has 44 billion lying around? She owes us it. Winter fuel payment should always have been means tested. Again, the argument is not being put by Labour well enough and they've let other people own the narrative. Inheritence tax for farmera. The facts aren't what Jezza and Nige are spouting on about. But farmers have been treated like crap for so long this is a catalyst for all that anger. Chancers like Farrage and his ilk are canny enough to use this to push their own vested interesest, I can see the same people who are bemoaning the policy having a big issue if we actually paid farmers for their produce at a proper price. You can't have it both ways. Farmers are vital and need support. But if there's a loophole being used by millionaires to avoid tax, it needs closing. There will be 'normal' casualties in that unfortunately.
"Do big things, yes" but take people with you. Thus "build more houses" and say nothing about building the infrastructure be it roads, health, education, is not a plausible way for government to behave, even one with a big majority. In others words, being left behind and not listened to, stuff you have been talking about, rightly, a great deal.
Those who take the ICC’s position are either evil or stupid - viewers would have to make up their mind. Meanwhile you did a great job calling out this garbage. Only quibble I have: if you’re not a field commander actually there on the ground, how can you possibly be in a position to judge what is “proportionate”? IDF strikes are terrorist-targeted - not carpet bombing as occurred in WW2. Yet few would condemn Allied attacks as excessive. Same in the fight vs. Islamist regimes in Syria, or Saddam Hussein. It behoves the critics of Israel to then describe their plan to defeat the terrorists. What would THEY do, as government of Israel, whose first duty is the welfare and protection of its own citizens.
First Israel should start behaving as a good neighbour to its neighbours. Flying in asian workers when there is a 60% youth unemployment problem in the gaza camp is OUTRAGEOUS. Will you never learn to be nice? You just deliberately stir up hatred: not very intelligent, you have chosen to settle in Palestine you should respect your neighbours: arab jews lived in peace in the middle east for thousands of years, with arab friends, who respected their religious traditions...
You guys should stick to Geopolitics and electoral strategies. On those you are without equal and that is why I listen to this podcast but on the economy it is painful to listen to.
Rory: when you accuse TikTok and Chinese government of meddling in Romania, you better produce some evidence. Otherwise you are discrediting yourself and your show. Just after you prove yourself wrong about US election. Learn your lesson,
Yes. By signing up to the Rome Statute, states have waived diplomatic immunity for their officials. Art. 27(2): "Immunities or special procedural rules which may attach to the official capacity of a person, whether under national or international law, shall not bar the Court from exercising its jurisdiction over such a person".
It’s disrespectful and cruel to keep dragging Alastair Campbell into discussions about the Iraq dossier and Dr. Kelly. He’s been open about his mental health struggles, and rehashing these events could harm his well-being. He’s faced enough scrutiny-show some compassion and move on. Focus on what really matters instead of clinging to the past.
So, like many he's had mental health struggles. Does that give him a pass? He played a key role in the biggest British foreign policy disaster since Suez. Kelly is gone. So are 179 British soldiers and hundreds of thousands of civilians. Of course he should face scrutiny.
Played the MH card to shield himself for the rightful disgust at his actions. Played a huge roll in leading to over 1 million Iraqis dying. Don’t think we should just “move on”.
I'll state the obvious, Labours coms have been absolutely horrendous. As an example labour have created a task force to tackle the mess of private car insurance. Nothing glamorous but certainly something people are personally and financially affected by yet i heard about this on their god awful tiktok with less than 10,000 views. What they're saying versus what they're doing is at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Israel certainly cares. Whether it will influence any decisions (apart from Netanyahu's decision not to travel to a considerable list of countries) is another question. I wonder if Israel can get the ICC judges to throw out the case on the basis that the Israeli state is not "unwilling or unable genuiinely to" investigate and prosecute Netanhyahu, at least when Netanyahu is no longer in power.
Now why would a man who is trying to change the judicial system to prevent being found a criminal in his own country have any rspect for any system of justice? And Or Anyone' do actually care that genocide and ethnic cleansing is considered criminal, no matter who does it.
International law. Who's there to enforce it? If the toff on here says iran isnt a risk then it surely is. What a sick joke. He thinks he knows better than the entire Israeli nation.....
Hi there. Rory Stewart is not a "toff". He is a deep thinker with vast experience in the world. I have come to appreciate his take on the world, as he has always thought deeply about it. This does not mean that he is always right - he is still a human being, after all. But he has probably thought about things much deeper than either you or I. He has some unique experiences in the world: he was a British governor in Iraq after the Western invasion there. He spent 1,5 year hiking across central Asia, including 36 days through Afghanistan in 2000, a year before 9/11. He was in the British government as a minister. And he has seen repeatedly how easily so-called leaders screw up. He wrote a well-received and critical work ("Can intervention work?") about whether foreign intervention in countries in crisis may or may not work, and under what circumstances. Of course you are free to see him as a "toff". But you would do yourself a disservice. He is a man who can enrich your own thinking about the world. He can help you ask better questions of those in power. Think about it. Cheers, Harmen
You're becoming out of touch. These petitions are extremely valid. The people feel lied to and the GE petition is the general population saying we've had enough! 34:10
I think Alastair forgets these petitions are the only life line the general public has when it comes to communicating with the government. If anything they should be given more voice and if enough people engage then action must be taken.
@Loronline I agree that petitions should have a greater voice but the specific one you refer to wants to overturn the very way in which Parliamentary democracy works, we never tried to oust the tories after they made our lives a living hell we voted against them in the next election, the same will be done to labour in 2029 if people still feel the same way by then. We can't oust a government every 4 months or nothing would ever get done ever
Haven't we had petitions with millions of signatures many times before? It's only a few months since the last GE, so if you want to persuade them to consider a rerun this soon I think you'll need a lot more millions than you've got so far.
This is Art. 17 of the Rome Statute, which requires the ICC to find inadmissible cases which are being investigated or prosecuted by a state willing and able genuinely to carry out the investigation and prosecution. Art. 17 also gives more detail on how this is to be assessed by the court. I'm not sure how this relates to sitting heads of state, who in most countries cannot be prosecuted while they are in power. For example, even if we assume that the state of Israel is a perfect rules based order, while Netanyahu is the PM he probably cannot be prosecuted by Israel.
Praising Norway without poimting out everything they have is based on oil, they are actually making huge profits due to.thw war as people switch from Russia to Norway for oil
Hi there, Dutchman here, but I have lived in Norway for a couple of years and I know the country quite well. Oil is not as central to Norway as one might think. Yes, they earn good money with it. But what would Norway look like without oil and gas? My answer: a lot like Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Iceland. And these are all highly prosperous, stable, rule of law, solidary nations. Just like Norway. And these countries have pretty similar policies when it comes to the international scene: pro-Europe, anti-Russia, pro two-state solution, pro-international institutions such as the UN, ICC and ICJ. Look a bit further, and the Netherlands, Germany, the Swiss, they all share quite a few cultural similarities with Scandinavia. I would say there is indeed something called "Northern Europe". It is a real thing.
Norway would do fine without the oil, but wouldn’t have the financial security and power, of course. And what should Norway do? Not step up when Russian oil became unavailable? EU actually pressured Norway to ramp up production. Also worth noting that export of energy raises cost significantly for locals.
The only way "taking a sliver of territory" doesn't equate to invading a country is purely semantic. Call it annexation if you like, but it amounts to the same thing.
Okay and that’s reality. I come from Cyprus where turkey occupies 1/3rd of my country. Where is nato providing missiles to us? They invaded us and took it? But you know what, peace is more valuable than the ideology of “fairness” sometimes. That’s reality. Hopefully one day people will see this.
As a result of recent developments I have decided to abandon the "news". In the end, there is no point in my knowing any of this stuff. 99% has no impact on my daily live, 100% of it is stuff I can do nothing about and about which no one will ever ask my advice. So it is a total waste of my time. It occurs to me than one test of dementia is to ask "Who lives at number 10 Downing Street?" If you don't know it is considered to be a problem. But if you don't know "Who lives at number 10 in your street?" no one thinks you are weird. Which of these is more important? The answer is clear. So give it up guys, you are wasting your time. Go home and enjoy the rest of your lives with your friends and family. And - oddly - if we ALL did that, the world would in fact be a much nicer place! WIN WIN.
100 of thousands of soldiers committing these war crimes are not ignorant of anything, Football fans singing about killing children were not ignorant Ministers calling for massacres is not ignorant They shout from the podium what they are doing but some people want to pretend otherwise.
I am happy that you are having a laugh ;-) But I have to come to realize that these are two very intelligent and decent men. They know the world, have vast experience and they genuinely try to think things through. I take what they say pretty seriously. And I suspect that you do yourself a disservice by relegating them like this. Because it suggests that you may choose to listen to people who are less intelligent and decent, who have less experience and who do not so much try to think things through. And that would be a shame for you. Cheers, and enjoy the good laugh. Laughter is a gift from the Gods ;-)
Thank you gentlemen for another excellent discussion. I truly believe that you should try to get Elon Musk on the podcast. You are always courteous. From what I see, so is he. And you three can disagree agreeably. And you may find subjects on which you actually agree. 😊
I think Anti-semitism is a word that's got 2 meanings now. Anti the politics/actions of the Israeli government, and attacks against jewish people. I don't think we should call something Anti-semetic unless it is. Suggesting that perhaps Israel has been somewhat heavy handed in their actions in Gaza, that's not anti-semetic..
American here. Really love your perspectives on this as it's tough to get a nuanced, fact-based external view sometimes. I think trump wants this war finished and added to his victory column, and he will withdraw all support, not to put pressure on putin, but to put pressure on zelensky and europe to capitulate to a deal and hand over land and economic incentives. Trump will hold an unspoken threat to putin in the background though.
@ that’s because I had a brain fart, had just woken up. I had meant “un-privatized” but it seems I’m either stunned or I got autocorrected. Thanks for calling out my bullshit
When they are interested in doing well on paper,,, And the population is getting poorer year after year, hard work, miserable wages, zero education, because they are easier to manipulate.. But now manipulation has been used against those who have been in power for thirty years😢
You did have a brilliant Expert just around the start of the Israel-Gaza Conflict- that talked for a one-state solution.. it was very brave, thoughtful and helpful.. to listen too. I forget the name; but he’d been inside this conflict since for ever, at least 30-40(? Or more) years.. Don’t forget him..
Oh for heavens sake. There have been years of anti discrimination legislation. As a lady I am still going to be paid less than a man. What is identity politics? It’s stating the bleeding obvious. There are groups of people who struggle to get paid, to get a job, to get healthcare, who are fearful of being attacked or being themselves. Why can’t politicians speak up for such groups? We are all human beings, equally deserving of existing, of working, of living, of loving and of getting up in the morning and just being ourselves without fear of right wingers telling us we cannot. Go away and worry about something more useful for god’s sake.
14:35 the strong commitment to at least acknowledging there will always be some inequality, I'm fine with rich people as long as there is a middle class
Pahahaha once again, Nigel Farage lives rent-free in Campbell's head! The guy is obsessed with Farage. Campbell mentioning Farage has to be a drinking game at this point. He'll always find a way to shoehorn him into the podcast!

I could write 10,000 words, but I will just say your comments on Israel and Iran were misjudged and your joint view on Israel's position is wrong. You are not doing well on this subject.
Snakeeyes, when you have lost all in Las Vegas is how they locket when Trump won.
It is defined under international law by instruments such as:
The 1973 International Convention on the Suppression and Punishment of the Crime of Apartheid (ICSPCA), which includes acts like murder, enslavement, and deprivation of rights with the intent of racial domination-without any reference to South Africa.
They don't like the current Israeli govt. I disagree with their viewpoint. They used to call them bleeding heart liberals.
Very well put.
@@TheDdvd1 Thank you, mate.
Totally agree
BOYCOTT Musk.
No.
You can literally see where the votes on the petition are from. There certainly are foreign votes, it is also a fact there are over 2 million native votes. What a surprise you deny this fact, truly shocked.
I'm sorry, you really just called Kier Starmer "moderate centre too". Hilarious.
I do appreciate a good dose of reality - thank you once again
This comment section should either be moderated or entirely disabled if people can’t refrain from bringing up irrelevant information about Campbell that doesn’t reflect the kind of person he is 😠
Most will just be bots since the podcast isn't pushing a pro-Russian narrative.
It totally does, he’s a spin doctor with no compassion in the way he works, the difference now is that he’s a spin doctor claiming to be a journalist
It is still something that has never really been dealt with properly and people have a right to bring it up, as annoying as that may be for others.
Given a major part of the problem was control of narrative, censoring it seems a bit ironic.

Alastair is one of those rare, principled people in public life. His dedication to being honest and looking at things objectively speaks for itself, and a single dossier, no matter how controversial, can’t erase the trust and respect he’s earned over the years. He’s truly a good man.
Nonsense
This is an ironic comment, surely.
He's not.
Is this Alastair's second account posting this?
The dossier is a rather large Elephant in the room. Maybe he should address it on the podcast.
Please change your glasses, Alastair.

Save some teeth for the rest of us mate!
NORWAY MENTIONED!!!!!!!!!!! RAGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Campbell looked very closely at all this..
The arrest warrant seems to be based mostly on withholding food and water.
Learn your lesson,
Does an ICC arrest warrant override diplomatic immunity?
Yes. By signing up to the Rome Statute, states have waived diplomatic immunity for their officials. Art. 27(2): "Immunities or special procedural rules which may attach to the official capacity of a person, whether under national or international law, shall not bar the Court from exercising its jurisdiction over such a person".
@ronald3836 interesting. Although France has come out and said Netanyahu has immunity regardless because Israel is not a signatory to the ICC
Just goes to show how bad your judgement is..
@@mabuhayASMR 👏
@@mabuhayASMR I wonder if we placed you in Campbell's role back in that day, during that issue, how u would have handled it

@odi299 is that comment parody?
Has nobody told AS and RS that we are escalating towards a nuclear war and there are many questions to be asked about Britain's role in this.
Does Israel or anyone actually care what the ICC has to say.
Of course Israel doesn't but 'or anyone' actually do!
Israel is a sick and twisted society, so going against the consensus there is quite a good heuristic telling you you're on the right track.

Probably the most incorrect thing Alastair has ever said on this podcast.
No of course it won't. First rule of the 'rules based order' is the rules don't apply to the 'rules based order'.
It's Babestation gone wrong😂😂😂

Anti-zionism is closer than anti-semitism.
