- In this video I carry out an oil and filter change on this 2016 Skoda Superb TDI. A very simple job that can be done by any competent DIYer at home. The most difficult part if working on the ground will be removing the engine undertray.
Thanks for watching and thanks to all who leave a comment and subscribe. It is very much appreciated!.

Brilliant 'how to' as ever. What a daft place to put the oil filter though VAG.
You cleaned up the spilled oil and put the undertray back on with all the fixings! Better than any main dealer service that.
Thanks Wilf! 😊 I find it much easier to keep things the way they are supposed to be. Makes life much easier years down the line

Is there hatch in the undertray for accessing the oil drain plug? And a hatch for the oil filter? I'd have though all modern cars would have these, to make oil changes easier?
Can you explain how to get rid off this oil service message? On vid cant really see what you pressing and for how long you pressing this long button.
Thanks for great video👍👍
Hi buddy, you hold the long button down and then turn on ignition then it will ask you “reset service?” Push button again and that’s it reset

Thanks, I followed this exactly. Unfortunately on starting the car there was a significant oil leak from the filter housing. I shut off and let the oil pressure settle. It appears the leak is from the larger O ring seal. My torque wrench only goes to 40Nm so I applied pressure from half way along it’s length for approx 20Nm. I didn’t feel I had overtightened it. I’ll take another look tomorrow. Any thoughts ?
It will either not be tight enough or it’s possible the the o-ring isn’t sitting correctly or has flipped into one of the threads. I’d just remove the filter again and double check to be sure

@@AMSVauxhall nice one, I was thinking along similar lines. Thank you ! I’ve also ordered another filter and seals in case I’ve mashed it as you suggest.
@@MS-Patriot2 let me know how you get on ☺️
@@AMSVauxhall for sure.
