    "The Legend Of Mother Swan"
    [English translation:]
    Once upon a time
There was a bottomless blue lake
At the end of the world with
    An uninhabited beautiful land
    When the spring time came
The migrant birds returned to the lake flying and singing
    From far far away place
The old father lake was waving joyfully
When he saw his offspring, all grown up
    He rejoiced all day long
    He sang all night long
    The time flied swiftly
Here came the middle of summer
    What beautiful happiness
    How joyful his waves
There was a female swan hadn't found her lover
She searched for him endlessly and found him lastly
They were delighted in their late found love
They loved each other as nothing else matters
A happy news of expecting came
Promised each other to be together forever
Married in their father lake, love and happiness followed
Seven offspring were born to them
    How beautiful was life
    How tasty was happiness
The sun goes down, here came the chill
The moon goes dark and hides behind the clouds
Fierce cold came and the water body chilled
Frozen the streams and the whole earth
It was time to travel back to warm land, but her cygnets were too young
They tried so hard to fly with half grown feathers
She took her young ones under her wings to save them from coldness
Sacrificed her life and left this world
As the fire of her eyes quenced her tears stayed pouring
As the last breath left her body her heartache was still there
Died in her tears for half-grown feathers The Mother Swan
Departed in lullabying between sleeping and awake The Mother Swan

Here's the literal translation by a Mongolian bar by bar.
    A long, long time ago
At the north of the golden earth,
Near the edge of the world
In the virgin natural wild countryside,
    By the bottomless blue lake,
At the dawning of the warm seasons,
From far away, the migrating birds
Came flying in with the sounds of glee.
At the sight of the growing younglings,
Elder (grandfather) lake became joyous in its waves,
    Everyday, every being was delighted,
Every night, every one was shouting in rejoice
    Long time has past,
    Middle of the summer came,
What a joyful time this is!
What a delightful wave this is!
    Oh my, oh my!
    One lonely swan with sadness,
Seeking its other in its stride,
    Looked all around and about,
    Suddently found the one,
In the love that was found in their later lives,
Dove head first and enjoyed the love they had (have),
So deeply in love, not even the universe mattered, (forgot the universe in their joyous love)
So many more days had passed during their love,
As she let known of her newly conceiving,
She vowed to be together forever,
As they married in the lake they grew together in,
Forever they'll rejoice as they promised.
    The seven eggs hatched,
    Brought an unbelievable joy.
    Life became so good.
It was full of joy and happiness.
    Oh my, oh my!
Bright and lively day had reached its end,
Hid all that it had to show,
    Bright white moon had dimmed,
Hid behind the clouds of the night.
    Pupils almost froze,
    As it got so cold,
As so the water frozen shut,
As the whole world became harsh,
    As they began their migration,
    They counted their cygnets,
Ones who weren't ready for flight
    Gave all they could
    Many of her offlings,
She wanted to leave living on this earth,
As she held them under her wings,
She couldn't hold on to her own life
    Oh my, oh my!
As the light in her eyes dimmed,
    Tears never stopped pouring,
As the warm life parted her,
    The sorrow never decreased.
As the light in her eyes dimmed,
    Tears never stopped pouring,
As the warm life parted her,
    The sorrow never decreased.
    --
Because of the love for her cygnets with half grown wings,
She passed away with her tears, the motherly being,
Between the living and the passing moments,
Still lullabied during the ever lasting night.
    ---
And, of course, this is a legend of the birth of the Mongolian people in the world descended from the 7 surviving cygnets (baby swans) hence the cold world (ice age etc maybe) and what our ancestors had went through so that WE have a life to live and experience this world in all its glory. That's, in my opinion, the best interpretation of this tale/lengend that our proud Mongolian band THE HU sings about!

Thank you for doing this; I ran it through Google Translate to get an English version. I hope it does it justice:
      A long time ago
There was a bottomless blue lake
On the edge of the world
      Uninhabited beautiful land
When the time of spring came
The birds again returned to the lake to fly and sing
      From faraway places
      Old lake father waved them
      He saw offspring that grew
      He was happy all day
      He sang all night long
      Time flew fast
      Midsummer has arrived
      What a wonderful happiness
      How joyful are his waves
There was a swan girl who did not find her love
She looked for him endlessly and finally found
      They were happy in love
They loved each other like no other
Happy news came about the children (!)
They promised each other to be together forever
Together now with the father of the lake
Seven descendants were born to them
      How beautiful life was
      Their happiness was sweet
The sun was setting, it was getting colder
The moon is getting dark and hiding behind the clouds
Colds came and ice covered the lake
Rivers and the whole earth froze
It was time to return to the warm land, but her cygnets was still a chick
They tried very hard to take off with not overgrown feathers.
She hid her chicks under her wings to save them from the cold
Sacrificed her life and left this world
When the fire in her eyes went out, tears continued to pour
When the last breath left her body, her heartache was still there
Died in her tears for not mature feathers Mother Swan
Gone between sleep and reality Mother Swan

    lyrics from Azlyrics
    Once upon a time
There was a bottomless blue lake
At the end of the world with
    An uninhabited beautiful land
    When the spring time came
The migrant birds returned to the lake flying and singing
    From far far away place
The old father lake was waving joyfully
When he saw his offspring, all grown up
    He rejoiced all day long
    He sang all night long
    The time flied swiftly
Here came the middle of summer
    What beautiful happiness
    How joyful his waves
There was a female swan hadn't found her lover
She searched for him endlessly and found him lastly
They were delighted in their late found love
They loved each other as nothing else matters
A happy news of expecting came
Promised each other to be together forever
Married in their father lake, love and happiness followed
Seven offspring were born to them
    How beautiful was life
    How tasty was happiness
The sun goes down, here came the chill
The moon goes dark and hides behind the clouds
Fierce cold came and the water body chilled
Frozen the streams and the whole earth
It was time to travel back to warm land, but her cygnets were too young
They tried so hard to fly with half grown feathers
She took her young ones under her wings to save them from coldness
Sacrificed her life and left this world
As the fire of her eyes quenced her tears stayed pouring
As the last breath left her body her heartache was still there
Died in her tears for half-grown feathers The Mother Swan
Departed in lullabying between sleeping and awake The Mother Swan

What a beautiful song about altruistic love, the courageous love that overcomes the fear of death, in this story associated with mother's love, one of the greatest forces in the universe creating eternal bonds !!! ...
There are stories of ancient people who lived in areas of the earth with great food shortages in which the elders walked away and faced their death so that the younger ones could continue to live…
Altruism leads to acts of greatness, stories of love and courage… Some time ago I read a phrase attributed to a simple soldier participating in World War I who said: This is no longer a body, nor is it anything. Now it's just courage! ”
The altruistic human being is aware of his/her acts and responsibilities, sees the "heaven" in other human beings and thus enables the dialogue, unity and the construction of a better world…

What does altruistic mean? Can you elaborate plz?

    • @silveriabarranqueiro1264
      @silveriabarranqueiro1264 5 років тому +2

@@cloudridermrbliss7085 Altruistic behaviour describes a behaviour opposite to selfishness; an altruistic person is one who thinks of the
welfare of others before thinking of himself/herself.
Empathy and ethics are two of the foundations of altruism, because it is important for one person to
put himself in the shoes of another, understanding what other person is going through and acting accordingly.
We know how to differentiate people who are always concerned with helping or comforting others from those who even rejoice when others are humiliated or have a hard life.

This is a Inspiring and Sad story, may we never forget the love our parents have for us as it is everlasting and eternal, Father Creator of heaven and the universe and moon and Mother Earth and the sun and stars protect us and love us, Long Life and prosperous wealth to all of us.

@@jacobxiongnu2931 Thank you for your good words; yes, we hope we all have a long life and prosperous wealth ... I also appreciate your reference to our beautiful planet that keeps us alive in its womb ... with the help of the sun and the moon ...
I've been doing a google search in order to better understand the meaning of the sun and the moon to the ancient civilizations (which you have mentioned in some of your comments) and I leave here three links (there are many…) which seem interesting (one also about the eye symbolism - we can see an eye in the Hu band musical instruments…):
      www.ancient-symbols.com/symbols-directory/eye-of-god.html
      solar-center.stanford.edu/folklore/symbolism.html
      www.whats-your-sign.com/symbolic-moon-facts.html
It seems to me that because the Mongol people were nomadic and adventurous it became possible to communicate with great civilizations over the centuries and to keep wisely and respectfully some treasures of ancient knowledge… which remain current and meaningful to the humankind of all ages (past, present and future).

Even though I do not speak the language, the combination of the vocals and the tone of the music is almost like ASMR.. it literally gives chills and goosebumps. Could just close my eyes and sink into the harmony and the melody. I say this as a metalhead. Good music is good music regardless.

When I hear this song I can see Mother Mongolia in a Blue Celestial Shining Dress and I as a child small and barely walking, she holds my soft hands and let me step my left foot to her right foot and my right foot on her left foot and we would dance in the heavens and the Moon shining brightly and she would tell me how are you doing and how are all my sons and daughters doing I would burst in tears and I would be speechless, to all mongols and not just mongols but all their brothers and sisters, families and true friends do not forget our mothers Mongolian and all your mothers for they love us very much.
Edit: this is the words that my dear father told me I am still young but his words have made me a man years ahead of my age and knowledge and now I respect my mother and women very much I am grateful to have a father and mother who is great and amazing and I as a son will continue to grow and cherish every moment I have with my family and future family with my future wife, Long life to all of us and prosperous wealth to all my peoples and true friend, I am Mong.
