You might want to look at the Midea U-shaped 8K BTU inverter air conditioner. They have a variable speed fan and compressor, so they are very efficient and have low inrush current for the compressor. You can run them on small PV systems or 1kVA generators without any problems. However, I haven't checked mine for EMI/RFI scatter yet. 😉👍

May I suggest you charge the batteries and connect the loads to both batteries in "X". That way, you charge both batteries equally and discharge them the same way.

You can get a larger DC fan from Vornado as well. Amazingly efficient.

Heating is easier than cooling
The losses result in heat
But on cooling the inefficiency make extra heat that has to be cool
