After putting a stop to the Black Tusk attack on the White House, Agent Kelso returned to New York to ensure the Haven settlement was also secure.
But while we were rescuing members of our community that had been kidnaped, Kelso suddenly went missing.
The harsh reality that Hunters now walk among us, has had many point the finger at Kelso and her sudden disappearance.
Agents, we need to get to New York, and find out what happened to her.

I seriously hope that Kelso isn't A). just playing us like Johnson was, and B). not going to be killed off at the end of the season. She is honestly one of my favorite characters in the series.
As for the three watches she had at the beginning, I have a theory. The first one on her belt was her original one (the one that got busted at the Potomac Event Center), the one she's wearing on her wrist is her new watch, and the one she had in her jacket (the one running ANNA) was Faye's.
That makes sense
Either that or, one watch is hers, another one is the Sheriff's because I think we swapped ours for Keener's at the end of WONY, and the third one is Faye's... Also, who has Theo Parnell's watch currently?, I'm lost there.

@@Reckless004If I remember correctly, we are of course given Keeners watch and the one Faye is holding in her ending cutscene I believe was Parnell's. I'm pretty sure Conley's watch got destroyed when she blew herself up, and as for Dragov's watch, I really couldn't say. Probably just brought it back to Haven for intel.

Whenever Keener gets mentioned, I always think back to Warlords' final mission to hunt him down, or rather specifically the room where you fight rogue turrets, hives, etc...
I vivdly remember when playing that mission and getting ISAC "hacked" messages, I felt chills going down my spine the entire time, like "ok something's really wrong here"....
Maybe I'm just reading into it too much, but
"Do you TRUST Faye Lau?"
She did went rogue and killed the President, though I do want to believe what she said in her manhunt mission was truth, that he did needed to die just so Natalya doesn't have him, and as she said, we didn't need to kill her and could've let her go, but we didnt
"Who CAN you trust?"
This maybe could hint towards what just happened with the Recruiter, but not actually the Recruiter himself, just pointing towards our current distrust among who are around us and who'se hunter or not
"KILL Paul RHODES"
(If not stated somewhere otherwise,) I do want to believe that Keener wanted to send the missle to Haven JUST to take out Paul. In his wiki, it is stated that he was in Strategic Homeland Division (Formely), and (do correct me if I'm wrong) does know stuff aboud SHD and ISAC (also he DID unlock Keener's watch, though not to it's fullest capabilities)
"Do you TRUST your fellow AGENTS?"
I think this message is targeted specifically to Agent Johnson, or as we now know him The Recruiter. (or the message "Who can you trust" can be pointed towards the Recruiter, and this message is directed towards what's happening right now with Kelso)
"Give UP!" "The DIVISION is a LIE!" "You will FAIL"
These may just be considered as taunts, but, from Keener's eyes and his thoughts on Division, it might actually be truth.
I don't have enough thinking power to put into words what I think could be next, but my thoughts are that the Division wont end up as the good guys in the story, some of the rogue agents that are aligned with Keener, and Keener himself aren't bad guys, however in a sense of "Sacrifice thousands to save millions", and that the Division has failed in a sense of "We're fighting not for the people, but for those that commands us"
And to summarise, here's my predictions for this manhunt:
Kelso isn't rogue, or at the very least not right now (as the probably biggest giveaway of her not being rogue is ring is still orange on her backpack in her manhunt splashart), the manhunt mission itself will be some kind of a rescue op (Probably in Liberty Island) against both BTSU and Hunters, she will go rogue, but we'll end up fighting alongside her, not against her. (Because ISAC/McManus/Natalya marks her as rogue, and I do believe its possible since Theo Parnell was able to manipulate ISAC to some extent) She tells us what she learned about so far, and...that's it for Division 2. As in, this is the "Haha, you almost got me but here's a bunch of ECHO'es to tell you what happened" Keener mission in the Division 1, and this will lead towards the Division 3.
I'm not a lore guy, so if there's like 3-8 phone recordings to disprove my delusions, go easy on me, I just got this impresson on what's happening/gonna happen with the story.
yeah i really hope that if she will eventually came out as rouge that we will have a chance to choose same too
Because tbh in my eyes ubi is always like this enemy have agenda it might be bad but also a good thing but somehow they never let us align with the said enemy or at least not to kill them
but yeah if they will give us an option to rouge or not i will rouge without any second of a doubt

Before anyone else wants to come at me about the communication i put in my comment that people were right communication is risky because isac is compromised. It was my bad for forgetting birdies words of our comms is their comms.
If you ask me, her story checks out, she is smart, she knows ISAC has access to everything like cameras, telling Rhodes easily could be caught by something or someone may hear and reveal her location to the hunters, infact by searching for her, we put her at risk now.
She's not Rogue. She's being careful, trying to stay alive, and watching her as$
I'm just glad it's us trying to find her and not us having to hunt her down because she's one of my favorite characters

@dragosanders4234 She is not rogue And she also knows that Hunters have access to all coms so she dont want to tell us anything in a comms so she left us a note what we could read.
Kelso could also be using our old watch, the Agent is using the modified watch that we took off Keener. It makes sense to give Kelso our old watch too, given that her original broke early on when we worked with her at The Potomac Event center.
Its nice to know though that Kelso isn't just doing the trite heel face turn like seemingly every other Division agent that isn't the player character, it would be boring and annoying if they threw a great character like Kelso away, especially as she is the only person that actually trusts us.
Another banger, these are the coolest division videos being made. Gonna be fun seeing where all this goes. Hats off to the division writers and their entire team for keeping this game alive. Thank you.
The division is such a cool series. I would like to thank you for keeping me up to date with all division story line.
In regards to the watches, the one on her belt was her original watch that broke when we took down the strategist Harlan Lloyd with the Outcasts at the Potomac Event Center (we thought she was killed at that time until she showed up and said her watch had broken) and the one on her wrist is the replacement. As for the third watch who knows.
In Greek mythology, Cassandra was given the prophetic ability to see events before they happen by Apollo, but he turned it into a curse by making it so no one ever believed the prophecies she spoke.
That seems thematically relevant to Keener (and the definition of vanguard), his inner circle and the few other characters who’ve seen behind the curtain which puppet masters like Natalya and McManus hide.

I wonder how the footage and audio files are connected. Some wild speculations: Kelso finds out about Cassandra from that ANNA-watch after taking a shower in the basement. Maybe she brought the watch with her, but why should it start talking only then? Curiously Mackenzie was offered to take a shower and use Kelsos bunk. Maybe she placed the watch there to be found by Kelso? Then, another lead might be that Mackenzie reacts somehow strange about Keener being the enemy #1 and mentions his "ugly" watch. Also, Keener was taking civilians to a safe house. Which one? Maybe Mackenzies? Maybe she's the unknown person in the video? Maybe Mackenzie Meret has some secrets or knows more about Keener than she wants to admit?
If we have to kill Kelso in the end, i'm gonna be heartbroken dude

So it seems I was correct: she’s not rogue but is looking for something that keener left behind.
It is just a side details on lore but I like how they finally mention the Dog in New York and how it has never changed in appearance considering years have past already since events of Warlords of New York. Since the dog is a mutt, the current appearance can actually be his adult appearance due to the mix of different dog breeds in his genes. However, what type of genes he has is unknown.
As for main lore topic, the knowledge that ISAC is compromised by the Hunters is a very dangerous situation because we know now they can hear and see everything that is going on with the Division and our agents. We cannot do anything currently without the Hunters all knowing what we are doing right now. Our Agents cannot even go take a dump without them knowing what we are doing.
Then that just adds another pawn to the chess match,
We all thought that vanguard was just a typical callsign for rogue agents but when ANNA mentioned Cassandra at kelso and new “vanguard” involved it feels like this is gonna be far more than just a callsign.

I think whomever was in the video where Kelso, Roy and Rohds were talking, that ISAC couldn't identify was the one that planted the watch belonging to Cassandra (Kelso said in her note that Black Tusk have "eyes and ears everywhere" Now that Keener and his Rogues are gone I wonder how many people have access to ANNA (I think that's gonna be important later on)
I would like to point out that in one of the recordings it actually has Rhodes I think talking about both Faye and the Agent from the first game when they first arrived. Imagine if the person in the background was the original Agent or it could be someone we don’t actually know which would be a let down for me (I really want to see the original Agent in this game even after the mention). Including the mention of the LMB has me hyped to see those guys in action again, way more memorable too thanks to them being the polar opposite of the JTF and they looked cool too including that we have LMB gear in the BP too so I hope we see them again.

I wish we was able to flip some rogue agents back to division. I feel like half of them just needed a reason to fight.
Under directive 51, agents first and only action that won't flag them as rogue as well is to engage rogue agents. Remember, they did something that Calvin's McManus lean rogue protocol still flagged them. There is many other reasons with Keener being the biggest example, by talking to him, he showed he could disillusion agents by making agents loose trust in the division, this wouldn't have happened and all that happened in NY wouldn't be if one of the agents followed directive 51 because remember, it's not something we think of but every conversation you have, every thought you hold and open to change is a vulnerability to manipulation. Of course some manipulation is fine as it is as a the name says, "to move" and sometimes you have to move away but by talking to rogues, you show you can be empathetic and with stories like Keeners on why he gone rogue, it's easy to be manipulated especially with Keeners talent with people, hell, that's how he got most of the rogues on his side.
In short, by talking to rogues you are walking on a rope that they can cut easily.

I feel like some sort of outreach by SHD is necessary, there are examples in the universe where agents are flagged having not clearly broken protocol, sometimes what is right may not fall under protocol. If SHD can get that talent back it's of great benefit to everyone. Sending Agents after Rogues lethally can always potentially be devastating as we have seen. We need to talk to them, some have very useful info.
I think the reason Kelso has three watches is that the one on her wrist is her new SHD/ ISAC watch, the one on her belt being her old SHD/ISAC watch that was damaged in the previous mission and the last watch she pulled out idk.

I never thought Keener was "evil." Especially, if you go back to why he went rogue. I think he has more of a savior complex with a heap of ego.
I hope we in the end find Kelsi alive and well. She's probs my fave char. I myself had forgotten keener was vanguard lol so thanks for that.

Personally I like how New York has seemed to turn into a warzone during these current events. Gives it a more desperate feel as factions try to grab for power and intel.
In the comms someone called Mackenzie gets offered a shower and some clothes exactly where kelso goes she's got to have planted the watch!...🤔

Regardless of Kelso having 3 watches (I didn't notice she had 3) but I always thought if I had the ability to place my watch anywhere, I'd run it on the inside.
Division 1 and 2 are really good games and I really enjoy the lore in them.I hope we will get a movie and tv shows at some point.

I did not notice that figure in the background of the video. Nicely pointed 👌. I really hope kelso isnt rogue or a hunter. Really be nice to see an agent npc stay good rather then rogue. Already cant wait for the next investigation. Im glad to hear keeners voice again in the comms. I know alot of people would like to see him alive but i cant see it myself. Think theo will play a role this season is well with ANNA. I can see us possibly be labeled as rogue at the end of the season as well as Kelso. Great video @ngn 👌
My theory is that Cassandra is Kelso. In Greek mythology Cassandra was a prophetess who was condemned to make prophecies that were true, usually of doom, but nobody would believe her. I think you've established that Keener knew what McManus and the black tusk were up to, and capable of, and he left this paper trail for someone to find. Kelso will tell everyone what is about to happen, but nobody will believe her until it's almost too late and our agent has to come in and save the day.
This theory is all over the place, you are saying no one will believe one of the most trusted agents and has Manny as her number 1 trusted ally? The name part would be interesting by itself but you took it in a random direction and ran with it.
We’re of a similar mind on the Cassandra name tying into Greek mythology. I don’t think it’s foreshadowing that Kelso won’t be believed this season, just a thematically relevant name because Keener or Theo set up a Cassandra Protocol or something because they knew their rogue status would make them suspicious to the JTF and active Division infrastructure.

Good info! and I agree, after having so many manhunt targets over the last few years, it was strange to just be done with the objective after a bounty. As for Keener, things are getting spicy, and i love it! We are Def going to see what exactly he had planned for that eclipse virus, and less mustache twirling badguy that he was in WoNY. I am hoping he's still around somehow, and that it gives us a choice to side with him or go back with SHD and that is what the new DLC could be about. As for Kelso, she's def found something that has compromised her and the safety of everyone. I hope she sticks around, I like her character and think she deserves to not betray us, no i think we should have that choice (betrayal or loyal) would be a great way to ignite the community! I think Cassandra element is a heavy handed reference to Greek mythology, Cassandra was an Olympian, who had the power of prophecy, but was cursed so no one would believe her prophecies. The point was that a Cassandra is someone who sees the future but is unable to change it because no one will listen or understand them.
I'm guessing she has a watch from Cassandra who was dealing drugs with the Hyenas. The other is hers and I'm guessing the one on the belt is Ezpinoza's watch. They were close and she may have it as a keep sake like some of us keeping our buddy's dog tag when they fall.
Im really hoping div 3 starts off with us having a ‘Rogue” status, it seems like such a natural progression for us at this point!

Also, as far as I remember, Keener was shot in the face, so a restorartion surgery could throw of a face recognition.

Honestly when it comes to, Kelso, Keeners rogues or going back on mission. Slowly the lines of who is the "good guy" has blurred and I like this. All now have a good point on why they are good guys.
Kelso- Her and the agents that followed her to NY put agents off mission with the goal being protecting citizens first and foremost.
Keener- By him/his rogues succeeding in the attack, hunters wouldn't be hunting the agents that went to NY. Hell, it may have forced hunters that went after us off mission and they to also prioritize helping citizens.
Hunters- The agents under directive 51 only have one person they answer to and that is the president, everyone else in Maneys words "I don't dispatch agents, I tell them what's going on". We swore a outh that during a event in which we are activated, we are to restabilize the US and reform the government, with the government restabilized, the chaos would stabilize. By agents not following the one figure recognized as a leader, agents only further chaos as the one figure recognized as a leader is no longer followed and that also further slows downs and halts stabilizing efforts.
Extras- Kelso maybe saying who is Vangaurd because she was there during Keeners assassination attempt so it would make sense for her to think who is the new "vangaurd" and why they are using Keeners code name.

I honestly think it's just "Backfire effect", the more hard evidence and the more absolute evidence you provide, the more the "opposition" defends their belief because of "sunk cost fallacy", the "I put so much in, what's a little more".
I feel as if the different watches are representing different people in her life. Obviously she has her own, that could be the one on her wrist. One of them could be Agent Espinoza's watch, considering they were close (I think they were close, it's been a minute since I've looked into the two of them), that is the one on her waist. The last one, which is the one she found in her jacket, is Keener's old watch, which she took off of him when we beat him in WONY. She kept it as a reminder of something or someone and the safe-lock Keener put on his watch may have expired, which is why ANNA activates again. Of course their is always a possibility that one of the watches could be Faye Lau's watch (instead of Espinoza's) in which she keeps as that reminder to never trust someone you work with.
This is just what i feel like the different watches could symbolize and why she has so many...
I literally came to the comments looking for this specifically. I was thinking the same thing. The extra watches (one being Keener's that was recovered after his death and activation of the rogue network. The second one, good possibility it is Lau's. More than likely the other watches, like you said, are from agents she was initially deployed with that were killed in combat.

One major flaw, the watch you say is keeners she didn't keep. The player is wearing that watch, Rhodes gave it us as a gift remember and to add if you go into your stats, the buffs from the watch say in their origin "Keeners watch"

I hope we can find Kelso and help her get some answers, but I understand why she's staying off comms since there are eyes everywhere. That's a smart move from her. Can't wait for the next part of this season.
I willing to bet this ends with a revelation that Keener is alive, Kelso is going Rogue, or this Cassandra is actually the puppet master of the rogue agents.

Could definitely be a call back to the second book's cassandra. Stovepipes manhunt description mentions the dirty bomb of the first book so its safe to assume this is happening parallel.

What if Kelso is the 2nd Recruiter? If you recall the images of the Recruiter, one was bulky (Johnson) and the other was slim and we all thought it was Cindy but, what if it is Kelso? Other than that, it was a good start of the season.
Oh and the build is hotshot. I run one similar with an output of 20M+ dmg once Determined kicks in.

Taking a shot in the dark, but maybe, either Kelso is being lure by agent ward or dunne or, those watches she is holding are ward and dunne.

It kind of did end on a mission bounty it was just a little harder to recognize because it wasn’t a main mission, it was a side mission. It was from a rescue mission when one of the individuals we were to rescue was burnt alive by the cleaners but we did save 1 of the 2.
She's too linear to go rogue but she might be trying to keep people from getting hurt so she's checking it out herself. She is very curious and cautious about the voice. It's something I would do, if I didn't want to cause alarm. If she dies, nobody knows, if she's alive, she returns.

Vanguard was Keener call sign , does mean people kidnapped Kelso for revenge
Keener was probably able to fake his death like Theo Parnell albeit being crippled by us. Cassandra is probably one of his successors after Hornet.
I really hope he doesn’t come back. It just feels like a cheap fake out like how his ultimate plan was revealed to be a missile. Better to try and explain his motivations and the consequences his death had on his followers.

@@jack727dave5I mean, him faking his death would check out, as the number 1 manhunt, he has to watch every move he makes, not having to do that would be of high interest as it would majorly increase his quality of life.

The vibe I got from Keener is he wasn’t so much there for the people. Remember, he was talking about the evolution of man, survival of the fittest. That is what the eclipse virus was for, to weed out the weak. Helping innocent people is just part of that, he’s not simply helping them; he’s getting them the chance to prove they can survive or else.
If we end up taking out Kelso at the end of this, i rage quit...unless we somehow get the option to go rouge ourselves.
As for the 3 watches, I believed that they are 1. Hers, 2. Keener's, and 3. Faye's.
I really hope Kelso doesn't turn villainous and Rogue just because she's my favorite character out of all of them.
