      There are a lot of channels out there that pay for bots to get subscriptions to their channel. I'm not one of those. I've been doing this since 2013 and the subscribers I have are genuine and I've earned every one of them. Would I love for this channel to explode and become extremely popular? Of course I would, but I would rather see an honest and slow growth of the channel, than to see a quick and dishonest growth that is unrealistic. Hopefully, one day, I will gain the popularity that I would like but for now, I am grateful for those who have followed me over the years and those who are newly discovering the channel. Thank you for tuning in and for taking the time to leave the kind words. I hope that you continue to enjoy the content and that you continue to tune in. Thank you.

      Thanks for the kind words James. There isn't much to explain here. I use a couple of bench dogs and then a Veritas, quick release wonder dog to form the vise section. You can find them at Lee Valley. Here's a link. www.leevalley.com/en-ca/shop/tools/workshop/workbenches/benchtop-accessories/74622-veritas-quick-release-wonder-dog?item=05G1030

    Ken I have looked into a scrollers drill press and I was shocked at the price over $200 on some of them I have never thought of making a scrollers drill press this is something that I will have to look into it's such a simple design that I can make one in an hour if there is room on the base maybe I could drill a hole and set a small LED bulb that is battery operated to light my way when drilling it always seems that I miss a few places that needed to be drilled and that's even after checking to make sure I have them all done, Thanks Ken

    You never run out of good ideas, do you? I really like this! Me and the scroll saw have a love/hate relationship, but I keep trying! Maybe this project will put me over the top, and I’ll be as good as you on the SS! Naaaaaaah! Never happen! Maybe I need to look into getting some Joe Boxers for the shop! Ha! Thanks for another good edition!

    • @acutabove_woodworkings

      Those Joe Boxers are fantastic for cleaning up the shop. The are very absorbent for when you have an accident. (while wearing them, or not. LOL). Thanks for tuning in Tom.

    • @acutabove_woodworkings

      I do not have a review on it Joseph but that sounds like a great idea for the show. I do love the unit and it has always served me well. I guess I need to start filming a power carver review. Thanks for tuning in and for the show idea.

  • @red58impala
    @red58impala 3 роки тому

    Good idea. How well do you think this base would work for inlay work using your carver or a Dremel type tool? I'm guessing if it would be sturdy enough it would need at least a depth stop.

    • @dwightl5863
      @dwightl5863 3 роки тому

      That sounds like a great application for this base. What came to mind is using a drill stop collar for the depth stop.

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  3 роки тому

      This would work very well for that purpose I think but I do agree that a depth stop would be necessary. Thanks for tuning in and for chiming in with your idea.

      I'm not 100% sure what you mean by this question but I am going to go out on a limb and say that you are referring to the INCRA T-rule that I use for layout. They are available at most woodworking suppliers or directly from Incra.com. I got mine at Lee valley tools. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
