I think these videos should be 5 vids, mon to fri week before world final , when everyone sees the car for WF they can fully appreciate the amount of work that goes in
Not been to see Banger Racing since about 1998. Watching this build is unbelievable. Only about 20 min in, subscribed already. Really interesting and you come across really well. Have watched the final last Sunday on utube and the car looked stunning. Thanks for the content 👍
Hats off for your determination and dedication bodja. Oh and not forgetting joey the fire Marshall of course. All that effort with the potential of being wiped out on the first corner. Top scores as always
“the more you look at it, the more rust of is” LOL sounds familiar, although I'm not a Banger this is very interesting. It's also great that you keep the few good parts!
Top work Pete and the team getting the old girl looking so smart and that paint just pop's Wasn't able to go to the final because all the tickets were sold out but watched on Speedworth TV and you done fantastic in the old girl. Already starting to do a replica RC banger MK10.
It’s a great shame to see it end up as such a wreck but you’re making its swan song something memorable 👍 Mk 10 and Mk2 Jaguars would have been common sight banger racing in late 1960s and 70s
Cracking video, the amount of work you and your team have put into it and still loads to go. Car looked stunning on race day, credit to you. I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the build 👍
What an incredible amount of work you and the team put into it. Talk about a silk purse from a sows ear! She turned out beautiful. I raced BRISCA F2 in the early 80's (No.6) and the odd banger race. Back then, it was just an old banger off the street - stripped out - scaffolding poles for a roll cage - and out on the track. Nothing like the prep you guys do. In fact, I don't think I spent as much time on any of my three F2's. I've been following you for the past few months now and catching up on your earlier vids every night. Love your presentation and look forward to seeing more on board footage. If I wasn't 73 I'd love to get back into the sport. Been a follower of stock car racing since early 60's Wishing you more & more success in the coming years. Bob. Regards to the team and a big hug to Joey (He's got such an expression full face - give him some more attention, he deserves it!
Disgrace. Can’t believe you raced that. Was easily restorable in its starting condition 😜😂. Great vid for all the whingers out there to shut them up. Top effort mate.
Brilliant video, massive well done to you and your helpers, you guys are putting some work into this one! I'm really enjoying seeing all the technical stuff with building a water tank to fit the shape, the thoughts and discussions on how to do it, how to fit the seat, the pedals, repairing the rust holes etc. Awesome, I can't wait for the next installment
FairPlay Pete, it looked the dogs bollocks Saturday night, and credit where it’s due you jockeyed that old girl round like a driver!!! What a race no stoppages, dry and fast 👌🏻👌🏻
Makes a lot of sense to take a classic car to take a lot of time money, welding, parts sourcing, labour , effort, engine modifications, paintwork, transportation, storage, entry fees, fuel and fabrication to smash it up on a Sunday, big brains! At the ‘ world’ final 😂attended by people from Japan, Australia, Iceland etc😂
Im a classic car fan, but old cars like that, that you showed us the rust and amount of work needed. Its better to burn out, than fade away!! I enjoyed the fact you let us see how bad the car was. I hope all banger racer cars are in shit state and there aren't any potentially restorable cars used for that entertainment
People say "Why didn't you restore it and put it back on the road"? ..... they need to see the state you get a car in and the amount of work to make it safe to withstand a crash.
Because people with your small mindset can’t restore a car only wreck it, you admire the work to smash it up not restore it for future generations? Halgwit
Am I the only one sitting here watching you boys working you bits off thinking how the hell are you going to get that finished in time😧, even though we have seen the pictures of it finished 🤩🤩, next year I think you should sweep all the rust up from this one and make another one, I know realise you are just a masochist (i had to look up the meaning of that to make sure I got the correct word!!)🤣🤣
My god you were so brave to take this on, I wonder now if it was worth it, having watched the race on Spedeworth TV I think the cars are too fast and too strong on the front and very weak on the rear, your car looked fantastic but I dont think it was ever going to be a race winner, maybe the night has come more about the looks of a car rather than the race winner, well done for putting all that work into it, I hope you enjoyed the night, (one of your fans)
Did you even watch the video mate? Car was pure scrap and never going to be road worthy again. This is giving it a good sendoff instead of just rotting in a field

Aaaaa
Seeing this with your own 2 eyes is so much better, from that scrap to this absolute mint rocket, hats off to you and the team Pete 👌
Possibly your best video to date! The quality and production are professional level. Thanks for posting.

Pete enjoyed part one, so much work😮. Looking forward to P2 weds.
Travelled just over 400 miles to see the final and THIS was the first car I photographed! Awesome build man!
Superb seeing it at Ipswich, really looking forwards to see it get built 👍
Glad that Joey is watching out for ya 😆
Great video Pete! A real insight into the many, many hours involved in getting these cars to the track. Looking forward to part 2!
Your virtually making a new car!!! Incredible amount of work.
Hats off for your determination and dedication bodja. Oh and not forgetting joey the fire Marshall of course. All that effort with the potential of being wiped out on the first corner. Top scores as always
Your hard work definitely deserves more thumbs up (LIKES) great car, and an amazing transformation

Theres some work gone into that and after seeing the result im well impressed
Wow! Looking at the car when it was finished could hardly believe it was the same vehicle
That is a lot of work on that mk10 great dedication pete worth it for the finished beauty in the Ipswich pits cheer

turning a shagged shell to a superior weapon and giving it a great send off! top effort, great video! nice one mate! all the best Pete
Man.....I see so many cars eat the wall on the first few laps to even dream of puttin this much work into a banger car. 70s prep only!
That car is more ripe than a Somerset apple orchard in September!
You deserve a medal for resurrecting that, I’d have baled it up if it was mine.😩
So much tin worm, great effort
Evening guyz unbelievable how much work looked lovely when finished well worth it mate when finished 😂#Knottyboy 👊👍🏻
Awesome car mate well done to all involved 👏
Only build video I’ve caught arceye from! 😂

Unreal effort, but it so needed a lyndale 4..2 on the stick not the modern 4 pot crap. Look forward seeing it destroy a few in future meetings

I've been wondering why banger racing doesn't use "raceseat"?
@@Sandeeroproduktion as in a bucket seat or containment seat? We can’t use them, if the car folds up around us then we can’t get out!
