  • Eight company commanders - the Coast Guard's equivalent of drill sergeants - from the Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, N.J., were at the Coast Guard Academy to help teach the third-class cadets how to train the incoming students this summer. The annual training is called '100th week' because the cadets are halfway through their time at the academy and are transitioning to leadership roles.
