I replaced my ipad air 3 screen yesterday. tested it before taping it down. all was good. however, after taping it down, now there is a thin red line in the center from top to bottom. if i squeeze to the right side of the touch id button it goes away for a second. is this screen damaged? or did i just install it wrong somehow? thanks
Unfortunately in my experience the lcd is damaged , some are more fragile than others .lcd can be danger by too much pressure or bend, or like it you screw it down and something poked it like a loose screw or if the cables are not all the way down. Hopefully you can diconnnect it and put it back and everything is fine. But in my experience it’s a damaged lcd . Hope I’m wrong
It’s ok but it’s always best practice to do it, I’ve done it many times in accident and never had any issues but heard many that didn’t have the same kick
I only do this on the side now, I use to have a shop and did a couple a week. But not everyday, I usally fix around 2-3 iPads a month and 4 phones on average but I have a 50hr week job so just trying to help
Thank you for this. Been looking for a more 'DIY'-friendly one to follow along to lol
im shaking! i just did it! thanks so much! first timer!
Did the screen come with the digitizer
Thank you sir! Great post!😎
Hi Tim! is the screen replacement that you have linked the screen that includes the digitizer?
Where can I buy the display? Some are $40 and some are $190… both with the digitizer. Would love a recommendation.

Great video! Just a quick question- how would you replace the rear camera on one of these?
Extremely easy it just diss connects, the camera is less than $10

Do you repair ipads daily? Do you have a shop? Is this what you do?
