Folie a deux (roughly translated: Madness for two) is indeed the term used when referring to a shared delusion between two people, but it can also be used more casually to refer to a short but intense (crazy/toxic) relationship or even a couple so madly in love they kind of lose their mind and start doing crazy irresponsible things out of the blue.
