Been watching these videos for years. Started wrapping my s2000 in avery gloss white. A couple weeks ago it was too cold and the material was tough to work with, now it's warmer and the vinyl is easier to work with but leaves glue lines every time I reposition. I guess I need an (almost) perfectly temperature controlled garage for this. I do love watching a pro craftsman in his element, tons of respect for what you do. I love the videos, will keep watching. :)
From your videos I tried my hand at wrapping my Ram tailgate did great from what I learned from you. One problem I have is where the flat part meets the bend in tailgate I have about 5 in. Xjust under 1/2in that won't stay stuck. I have heated number of times it goes away but always comes back. I'm at a loss. Anything I can do. And yes I put small pock in it with cutter.
That's your problem perhaps. That is my opinion only. I could be completely WRONG, but in MY experience with Vivid vinyl, its always been hard to keep it from lifting on those areas. Maybe it's just me.
I'm going to try and wrap my own hood on my Alfa Romeo Giulia. I'm using Vivid True R carbon fiber. I don't have access to a garage so I'll be doing this outdoors. The temperature this weekend will be around 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Provided the wind isn't blowing to hard, is there any issues to look out for?
Hi Chris, I ordered a piece of Vvivid satin rose to try wrapping my Murano 2019 roof rails that go from side to side to give it a touch of color. I want to find it easier in a parking lot with hundreds of white SUVs. Would you advise to unscrew the rails off the top to do this work? Do you have an email to send you photos and ask for instructions?
I have a BMW that is in matte black,I want to know if I can wrap it in a different color? Would it damage the matte black if I choose to remove the wrap after a couple years
Ck, your videos have been extremely helpful, as I am currently wrapping my Lexus RC 350. I am using vinylfrog wrap and absolutely hate the material. I did the roof in Avery gloss black and it was so easy. Do u have experience with vinylfrog? I’m trying to figure out if I’m just bad or if the film is just terrible
I about to do my hood in brushed metal(vvivid), I have to fix a ding and some hail damage..can I wrap over bare metal,or do I need to prime?or prime and paint 1st?
IMHO it's not a problem to wrap such difficult parts nicely. The problem comes out only after couple of weeks/months in hot and cold weather when certain areas start lifting. On this piece with my luck certainly the most recessed area would pop up. IMHO the correct way to wrap it is different. The flat areas need to be the ones in stress, so that when the material starts shrinking over time, the flat part holds it in place. But just my opinion and experience.
Sorry to interrupt, but did you mean 0.65 mil thick instead of 6.5 mil thick? That's the difference between a stack of printer paper and a few human hairs. So, I'm guessing it's supposed to be 0.65 mil. Nonetheless, very nice work, and thank you for all the things you have taught us over the years
When it comes to this stuff , it doesn’t really mean millimeters. It’s a different measurement. I wondered that too till he explained it in a different video
@@brandonlouden583 you are correct he talks about different measurements instead of the ones the rest of the world is used to. I'm sorry to confuse "mill" with "mill" you know, millions of a inch or millimeters.
Just wanted to say that I recently started wrapping my Tacoma and your channel has been a huge help!
NOW HE POSTS THIS!!!! After I destroyed my fingertips vinyl wrapping my trucks interior trim
I always get excited when you post a video
Looks awesome. I love the color too! Your videos are great. Very helpful!

Do not move the material after you just applied heat, wait a little and start forming.
I hope you do something in Vvivid's metallic black PPF soon.

New too the channel and just wanting too say bro you're killing the competition bad ass white dude!""

Are you releasing the color fusion videos on your website first?
I'm using colorfusion in this series of videos. It's just the matte version.

Wind and dust is a no go
Vivid is waay worse to work with than Avery and 3M. Its thicker and doesnt have as good as tack as those 2.
It’s going to be really tacky
Any word on when theyll be restocking?

I have a BMW that is in matte black,I want to know if I can wrap it in a different color? Would it damage the matte black if I choose to remove the wrap after a couple years
Can this PPF be used on cabinets and furniture?

Que marca de vinilo usaste? Qué color es ? Cuál es la referencia?
I always end up with a bunch of vinyl in one spot at the end…any tips?
I'm trying to do door panel inserts and their curvey, impossible to wrap but I want it carbon fiber

What's the difference between working with this ppf vs vinyl? Seems similar
What about those glue lines?
Can I buy a small amount of this PPF to do the hood on my 4Runner?
When I go to the site all I see is full rolls and those still say "pre-order".
can someone wrap over a truck that is sprayed in bedliner? Thank you in advance
I like how when he removes air bubbles they just disappear right there at the soot they were at, when i try it the bubbles just move around! 😛
you are trapping yourself I struggled with this when I first started
Need to separate them if it’s bigger bubbles and then press down on them
Fiiiiiiinaly bro 😭😂

6.5 mil. Not 6.5 mm.
@@brandonlouden583 its mm. its a Acronym, not a An abbreviation.
@@ikkePunky ok
Do a bit of research, mil refers to thousandths of an inch, Not millimeters(mm).
