Attempting Rim-to-Rim-to-Rim Run at the Grand Canyon

- Starting at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Ford and a friend tackled the daunting challenge of running and hiking from the South Rim to the North Rim and then back to the South Rim all in one go. This is a 43-mile feat, that took the men about 13 hours to finish. This run took place at the end of October when the weather was cold at the top and a bit warmer in the canyon. They took food, water, and safety supplies with them in running vests, trying their best to keep things as light as possible.

EPIC Gentlemen!!! When I saw those leggings at the beginning, and then the shorts, I knew it was about to get real!! But when you made the turn from Phantom and headed toward Black Bridge, I literally said, "Oh sh!t...this doesn't end well." You guys processed S.Kaibab, like it was nothing. Wow!! Stashing all your gear was a pro move.
My daughter and I run R2R's and Rim2Rivers, and love those trails. The Canyon has destroyed us a few times, but we always come back. Have a few vids of our adventures there, on the channel. I'm amazed at how empty it was in the Canyon during your crossings. I ran R2R on Oct. 8th, and the crowd at Manzanita Rest Stop was so large it had spilled out and was blocking the trail. Phantom looked like someone was hosting a farmer's market. I literally couldn't go 50yds on the trail without running into the next group of hikers.
