- Would I buy this bike again? Overall thoughts after owning this bike for the past 6 months and stacking up the miles. Kawasaki rises above with the all new ZX6R. Riding, features, specs, and what's brand new and changed for this legendary middleweight super sport bike. We cover the changes in fairings, the led headlights, what's different with the engine and performance, brakes, suspension, exhaust, the new tft display and all the settings and rider modes it has, the kqs Kawasaki quick shifter and how to turn that on and off, and much more! This bike produces 127 hp and 51 ft. lbs of torque and I explain what modifications will add even more horsepower to it, and how much. From slip on exhausts, full systems, high flow air filter, velocity stacks, tunes, and flashes, I give you an idea of where each of those will put you for power gain. This is truly one of the best 600cc inline 4 cylinder motorcycles the world has ever seen. Leaving the cbr600rr, gsxr600, r6 and r7 in the dust. It's the best value for the price, one of the most eye catching bikes out there, extremely reliable, and fast enough to keep anyone looking for a thrill and a quick 0-60 time entertained. Comment with any questions, enjoy!

Couldn't have said it better myself. Got my '24 KRT edition about 4 months ago and it's an absolute blast to ride! When the "Return of the 6R" announcement was made in 2023 I was already super excited and started debating if I should buy one. Very glad I got the chance to eventually pull the trigger. Only thing which would've been nice to have is ride-by-wire for quickshifting up ánd down like the CBR has, but without isn't a big deal at all. It's a piece of art after all and gets tons of respect from a lot of people when out on the road, which is very nice to see.
It's the king of the 600's 👑
I got close to that mileage on mine. Got it in May though as my first bike. I’m enjoying every moment I’m on it. Thanks for the videos, stay safe out there!
Thanks man, u too! 👍
My only gripe with my 2024 ZX6R is I would love for it to be a ride by wire throttle which would allow a true up/down quick shifter. I would have paid more for that option, otherwise no complaints about the bike. It is truly a blast to ride
It is ride by wire. Only the zx-10 has the electronic throttle
@michaelleisenberg2083 I think you are confused. Electronic throttle such as used in the ZX10R is a ride by wire system. The ride by wire or drive by wire system was developed for aircraft and then used in automobiles and motorcycles.
Ride by wire is the term the industry uses for a sensor based throttle system and the ZX6R doesn't have that system. The ZX6R has a mechanical throttle that is also known as throttle by cable system.
@@michaelleisenberg2083ride by wire is electric throttle. You’re talking about ride by cable which is what the zx6r is.
First video of yours I've come across, nice job. I currently have an FZ07 and and looking to upgrade either to a ZX6r or R9. Ima Yamaha fan boy but that ZX6 is sick. Looking forward to seeing what the R9 has to offer since it's a bit more relaxed positioning.
Not enough power for you to not be terrified of it : exactly why i "downgraded" from a 22 ZX10R to a 24 ZX6R. The 10 was absolutely nuts and way faster than i needed, this is perfect but wasn't available for a few years before the revised 2024. It's almost as good as the Daytona 675 i used to own.
You will get bored. I got my first bike 1.5 months ago and have 2k on it already zx6r and I already want to move up to a zx10.
I grew up racing two strokes, not my first time riding with my new zx6r
@@ftlw1433 i'm not 25 anymore , the 6 is just fine imo. I ride mostly backroads and the odd trackday, suits the 6 perfectly
@@Sunedosa ya the only thing that holds me back is, do I want to feed the addiction of more speed and feeling the g’s. I’m legitimately scared to allow myself the access to that much power.
@@ftlw1433 Gotta be careful man , at 180 mph+ one mistake will end you.
@@Sunedosa absolutely, so will 140 though.
This video was not only extremely hilarious at random moments, but very informative in ways other videos were not. For example, I didn't know that an ECU flash would reduce throttle jerkiness. Cheers m8.
Im 46 years old , never had a motorcycle in my life, and this will be my 1st bike. Yes, im having a midlife crisis, and im loving it !
Go for. Be safe and you won’t regret it.
@doodoo871 roger that! Thank you
Yay, something new to watch before I collect my anniversary edition. Ive watched your first impressions video about 10 times 😅
I'd have more videos out but I've been working too much recently 😕
Have 1,000 miles on mine & I agree with everything you said - nothing beats the sound of the zx6r… so addicting… (M4 GP-19)
this guy is great at this. good vibe good info
Thanks man 👍
Thank you for making all these videos on this bike man. They’ve all been incredibly informative and helpful. I’m looking to get one next year and hopefully I can get a 2024 anniversary edition. There’s something about that paint scheme I love. If not I also love that black but I don’t like that blue they added for the 2025. We’ll see I guess. But thank you for making these. I know it’s a lot of time and work
Thanks man! I enjoy making these, happy to help 👍 yeah the new grey and blue is super weird, I'm not a fan. I do like the new 2025 KRT edition though
I’m sold! Great review. I too have a liter bike and find myself wanting a middle weight bike. I think this is my next buy
I love mine can’t wait for a exhaust and tune
I’m currently 19 looking to buy this exact 2024 black zx6r as I think it’s gorgeous. Never ridden a super sport but highly looking forward to it especially with its different riding modes ive watched every zx6r video you have and done extensive research and its almost time to purchase and I couldn’t be more excited every day closer makes me want it more! Love your videos and look forward to more in the future highly underrated UA-camr!
Learn to ride on a 125 to 400cc bike first. You'll enjoy the 600 a lot more if you can ride a smaller machine well first.
I’ve been practicing and learning on an old Harley street bob I know it’s not in anyway shape or form the same as a supersport but I’d rather not go for a smaller then have to go through reselling it and then purchasing a zx6r but I do hear you and appreciate the input
Thanks Chief! I'm sure more videos are coming soon 👍
Yeah you’re gonna die if this is your very first bike lmao getting a 24’ isn’t a good idea. You’re gonna drop it quite a lot since you’re a newbie 😊
@@SmokeyTheBear00started on a busa 5 years ago and never looked back 🤝
Bruh! you hit 168mph @ 32:53! hahaha woot woot!!! doesnt matter with or without kqs haha! great vids as always brother!!!! learned a lot from you bro, maintained my own bike great with your vids! Keep it coming!!! =)
Great vid as always, im getting one by the way, greetings from panama
Just got my M license, Coming from a scooter I had for 5 years, my long time choices were zx4rr/ zx6r or the gsxr600/ gsxr750. You've certainly pushed my decision for the zx6r. I love the new white color!
Good! Yeah I think zx6r is ur best bet, awesome machine 👍
I also changed my rear Diablo 4s to a wider Dunlop Roadsmart 3 Rear Tire (190/55) and it makes the bike look and feel lovely I can really get it in them corners
I do love the look of a big ole back tire
The quick shift for me is so janky/slightly jerky between 1st and 2nd regardless of rpms or amount of throttle. 3-6th is butter. Its not horrible, but its just not as smooth at the rest of the gears. You notice this with yours? Other than that this is the best bike I've ever owned. Love your channel btw
Yeah I've experienced the same, the low gears are torquey so you feel it a little more. Thanks man!
Same here
Don’t use quicker shifter from 1-2, you can tell they really don’t like it. Same as 4RR and 10R don’t blip from 2-1. They just seem to hate it, not sure if Kawasaki will ever fix this
Same too
zx6r is amazing, thinking if I should switch over from my Z900 although I really love it so probably not... its tough to decide
amazing video.
In Louisiana the highest temperature I seen on my 24 zx6r was 235 F. I was about to ride it like a harley.
So far the fastest zx6r 2024 I’ve see
I live in the same town as you! Crazy I just stumbled across your video
I’ve got the same bike with a full m4 system and velocity stacks and a air filter this made me want the Moore mafia tune so bad hope it makes the top speed better I’m like 165lbs and have gotten it to 155 so hopefully can get better top speed also I’m curious how’s your gas mileage cause I’m filling up almost daily and worried the tune is gonna make it a lot worse?
If anything I think my gas mileage got better after the tune. You should be able to see 165-170mph with the Moore mafia tune and stock gearing
My ‘24 zx6r runs hot. In stop and go traffic with outside temps around 85, my engine temp was hitting 141!! I still have all stock parts. Looks like I will need a flash and a bunch of parts 😅
Change out the coolant. There are better options than stock
141 celsius? that’s not normal homie
Yeah the 2024+ absolutely needs a tune coming from the factory. Crazy to see 168mph on the dash. Dope video bro. Looking to tune my 2023 soon. She tops out at 163mph stock rn. Hoping a tune would get me to 170mph.
Would it be too crazy to go for zx6 or R9 as a beginner plus bike? As an older more mature individual?
Nah you'll be alright 👍
@@lovelivegofast😅
I want to do the moore mafia tune on my 24 zx6r but I'm not trying to mess with the ECU and risk F'ing something up. I need a detailed video of how to remove it (fairings and all lol)
If im not mistaken only thing you have to remove is the rear seat
I have a vid removing the ECU and everything you have to do
@@lovelivegofast true and I watched it! But after you explain removing the push pins, you just talk through the rest of the steps. I need more of a tutorial showing the step by step removal so I don't screw anything up lol
At what milage did u change the spark plugs and the vaulve serviced?
That's not for quite some time yet
dang 63 bike huh, i cant afford 1 xD Cool information tho
What kind of bike would be the best wheele monster in your opinion?
I have yet to find a better wheelie machine than the DRZ400
@@lovelivegofast ok. I should be more specific. Which bike over 600cc would you say is the ideal wheelie monster? Supermotos all day. I agree. But the ktm 690 is too pricey.
got a link for the tuner? do they do the zx4rr?
It's a flash so you send the ECU to Moore Mafia and it comes back tuned. I'm sure they do the zx4rr too, check em out 👍
Comfortable? I came from a r3 to the ‘24 zx6r and i am constantly uncomfortable. Maybe I gotta get used to it but I plan on getting bar risers. Gripping my knees to the bike to free weight going to my arms gets tiring too
I am also looking into those bar risers. I have noticed that I am riding more correctly to make the comfort much better than the first month of riding with it. This was my first true sport bike, though. I had the Zx4RR for a couple months, before trading it for my 6R and that 4RR position was a stretch compared to my old FZ6R, but I could hang on that bike for 2 hours+ no issue. If I could get the 6R to feel like the 4RR (riding position wise only) that would be my goldilocks' zone. If you get any risers, please let me know how it goes!
Focus on body position first, don’t use risers as a crutch for poor positioning. If you still don’t like the clipons after you dial in your body position, Helibars make a set that does not require you to change out any of the stock components. Others require new brake lines and potentially other mods to make them work.
you get used to it the more you ride (unless you’re a whale). I was the same way for a couple hundred miles, but I don’t even notice it anymore.
@@RothbardyI was looking into the helibars. That may be it for me if I don’t get comfortable after 200 mile mark
Just wondering whom the we are, with just one dude... are there voices in there with him??🤔🤪🤣🤣
Love my 2022 Z900RS Cafe! Was a big Triumph fan, but road my buddies Kawi and was like “whoa!!!!” Now I’m looking at this as a 2nd, more sporty/track bike.
