I was about to say the same thing. Not the largest ships in the world at all. If you were talking about capacity, then they were to have the largest guest capacity in the world, but not the largest.
How is it possible to do a video with this much incorrect info? The Dream Class wasn't even close to be bigger then the Oasis class from Royal Caribbean and Oasis have been around since 2009. The second Dream class ship wasn't even floating, it was a pile of steel when they desided to scrap her. Click-bait!
if the global dream had been finished on time, she would have been one of the first ships over 200,000 tonnes not built for RCI. also, if she hadn't had her passenger capacity decreased from 9,500 passengers as planned by Dream Cruises (Genting Hong Kong Limited) down to approximately 6,000 passengers by Disney after she was purchased, she would have had the largest passenger capacity of any cruise ship in the world, so while outright the video's information is wrong, there are SOME caveats
@@matthewallen978 sure, BUT he claims over and over that it's the biggest cruise ship in the world. It's not, never have been and never will be. It's a very big ship, no doubt about that, but it's not the biggest. He even claimed that the Dream II was almost done, it wasn't. It wasn't even floating and the video/pics he showed when he talked about the Dream II was of the Dream. There's more claims in the video that's not true, I won't spend the time watching the video again just to point them out.
204,000 tons wouldn’t make it the biggest. Icon of the seas is 248,000 tons, though prior to 2024 even Oasis of the Seas is 228,000 tons having set sail in 2009.
The 2nd ship had only just started construction, they only had a bit of hull to scrap. They also would not have been the largest... Royal's Oasis class is larger and launched a decade before this was even conceived.
They weren’t meant to be bigger, yet they were to hold a bigger amount of passengers. The Oasis class isn’t the largest anymore, it’s Icon Class. Just because the Oasis class has been around longer, it doesn’t change anything.
We have to be careful when we call this the largest ship in the world. It had the highest passenger count rating, but it wasn't close to being the largest by volume. You'll notice in the video that it was 204,000 gross registered tons. Yes, that's a measure of volume, not weight. Go figure! In comparison, Oasis of the seas launched in 2009 has over 226,000 gross tons. In fact, there are currently 7 ships sailing that are physically larger than 204,000.
Largest by passenger capacity with the original plan. Capacity was to be over 9,000 passengers. Very misleading but that is what was meant by largest, capacity not gross tons.
Hmmm a counterfeit RCL oasis class ship from China? Also the Genting dream looks like a breakaway class ship from NCL. This company deserved to go bankrupt lol
Absolutely galse information! The GLOBAL DREAM 2 where never build up to what you show in the video! What you show is the GLOBAL DREAM the ship that been sold to Disney! The GLOBAL DREAM 2 where only two small blocks of hull sections, which been scrapped (Just a few tonns of steel)! Far far away from 50% completed! Maybe 3-5% ...
Nope, it was build in Wismar, you can see it at the crane (MV = MV group that went bankrupt). After sale to Disney, experts from Meyer were involved to finish the project.
A lot of repetition in the narration .. might be an idea to script and plan what you are going to say .. rather than rambling nonsense .. ire extremely irritating ..
No it was build in Germany that's why Disney bought it .Disney has built 3 ships in that port already Dream, fantasy and wish so it was easy top flip that ship into there way.
Why the spooky music? Were Jack Torrance and his family hired as caretakers?
Why the spooky 👻 music 🎵. lol 😂 hell naw!!
Lol
I think the song from the Pirates of the Carribean would have been better-"yo ho ho ho, a pirate's dream for me".
Almost makes me feel as if riding my bicycle to work may not be saving the planet, after all.
112 years ago today, on Wed April 10, 1912 at Noon, Titanic would begin her maiden voyage
It was not supposed to be the biggest but just a little smaller than the oasis class making it second biggest

Completely agree.
@@extrakimF i agree with you man, im just looking at the technicals
Global Dream = 204,000 GT. MSC World Class = 215,000 GT. Oasis Class (1st built in 2010) = 225,000+ GT. Icon Class at 250,000 GT.
Thank you I laughed when he says the largest cruise ships in the world

Purchased it for scrap probably, what a deal, ship building is insane, always something nicer and bigger coming out
Yooo whats up with the silent hill like music?
The 2nd ship had only just started construction, they only had a bit of hull to scrap. They also would not have been the largest... Royal's Oasis class is larger and launched a decade before this was even conceived.
Awesome video!
What's the name of the background music? Has Ghost Ship vibes and very fitting.
these ships were never going to be the biggest in the world. the oasis class is larger and been around alot longer.

My favorite cruize ship is the SV Golden Horizon

I see 20 lifeboats. I’m sure that’s more than enough for NINE THOUSAND people. No problem.
What's to worry about? 20 boats is plenty for an unsinkable ship.
The largest lifeboats can hold 450 people, so 20 would be sufficient.
That’s the first global dream in your pictures. Not the the one that was scrapped.also Star Cruises was from Malaysia not China.
You keep on using the word conjugate to describe people meeting in public spaces. The word congregate is a much better word choice.
At first I thought this was a penguinz0 video with the stretched photo and short title
DId you watch ABC's 9-1-1 in which they had a cruise ship sink off the California coast.
us that the latest sereis of 9-1-1? if so still wiating for it to air in the UK on disney +
Disney bought one of these ships .it will sail from Singapore next year as Disney adventure 🎉

Wish I could go on it

The Oasis class predated this at 225,000 gross tons.
Icon is 248,663 GT.
These 2, 204k
The ship hit a Covid iceberg. 😂
112 year’s ago today was the day titanic sank decades ago 😢
Why does so many ships made from Chinese companies always belly up 😭😂
Bob Iger's folly.
Bob iger wasn’t even around. This was bob chapek
Gingers talking is underrated.
Too bad Disney did not save both ships.
I thought Disney cruise line bought it? 🤔
Please make a video on the new Fox men’s college basketball postseason tournament
The ship yard in Germany is meyer warft and its only because it was made by that company why disney bout it as they may disneys 3 last ships

Well icon may have still beat the, to teh biggest ship
Depressed Ginger, Subscribed because your videos are so much fun!
depressed ginger doing cruise ships now? LETS GOOOO
China can't afford to finish a ship I and many others can't afford to board. Go figure...
I went on a cruise. It was boring and expensive.
Sold to Disney, so it’s still a Chinese ship.
No it was build in Germany that's why Disney bought it .Disney has built 3 ships in that port already Dream, fantasy and wish so it was easy top flip that ship into there way.
@@1g529 to my knowledge the other Disney ships were made in Papenburg by Meyer werft.
Looks like a floating mass coffin. Why not weld pontoons onto a building?
I hate the spooky music
I love it. I cancel out your vote. :)
I love it.
don't be scared
What's about with saving the planet? Our beautiful world doesn't need no more cruise ships!!!
Enough with the soundtracks on videos. I'd like to hear the story, but for me it's unwatchable.
